  1. ^^GM and ford have produced some quality vehicles in their time though ie- Corvette, Ford GT40 etc And all the classics before them so come on be reasonable. The funny thing about this thread bashing the fuel guzzlers etc etc is that you all drive performance based cars, which use equal amounts of fuel and gets similar km's to that of the 6.0Litre Holdens. Throwing stones in glass houses.
  2. Hahahah I feel sorry for you man, but I read this post at Tafe today and god damn it made me laugh hard. Make the bitch pay I say.
  3. I dont see why people still try to put down pushrod engines, they obviously have prooved the tests of time, hell even Nascar use Pushrod engines and they put out 770hp (575kw) and thats Naturally Aspirated. Plus the pushrod engine is lighter than a twin cam.
  4. ^^ should be good! If the base model SS puts out 270kw, surely the HSV will give 300+ kw OH and they're also bring back the GTS so much higer KW's than the HSV aswell!!
  5. Also note the rear seats. the middle seat is pushed forward abit giving the two other rear seats bolsters. (kinda like the back seats in a coupe)

  7. In terms of fuel consumption, they're releasing an LPG based commodore. More Pics (Hant seen this feature since my old XF falcon.) Flared Wheel Arches sequential Shift
  8. The orangy interior in the SSV isnt my cup of tea either but When buying the car you get to choose which colour scheme you want I think. So the good ol grey would do me just fine. 270kw for base SS though. Should be interesting to see what HSV's specs are going to be. Oh and one more thing if you havnt noticed. The handbrake is integrated into the centre console. See how it doesnt stick out, their is only the button, not too bad in my oppinion. This is what I mean,
  9. And So here it is. The entire VE range gets ESP (electronic stability program). They're also using 4 speed auto (in base model commodores) 5 speed Autos and the ZF 6 Speed Auto. Holden Commodore VE SS V 19-inch wheels (20-inch wheels are an option) and a 270kW/530Nm 6.0-litre V8 engine. Holden Commodore WM Caprice Holden VE Calais V
  10. in terms of bad on a scale of 1 to 10 how high would you rate brake smoke after some heavy braking? Ie - If you've just been driving your car and the brakes are smoking (after heavy braking) how bad would you say it is.
  11. Chip Foose is an Awesome Car builder. They've showcased afew of his cars on "rides" before and they're unbelievable. Although I dont particularly like Boyd I have to give him credit for hiring a few mentally challenged people (his son is mentally challenged). Anyhow That 32 is niceeeeeee. heres some more foose for your juice. 56 Chevy Roadster Camaro OR Troy (Rad rides by troy) "Sniper" 1,180hp twin-turbo '62 Chevy "Chicayne." "Fast Forward Fast Back" - Supercharged 351 = 372Kw I know Muscle isnt everyones thing on here, but expand your mind.
  12. What the hell?? Boyd Coddington sucks! everythings so rushed, 2 days to prep and paint a car!! He fires anyone for looking at him wrong and he's got no one to work for him. Chip Foose all the way!
  13. dont waste your time with R33's and whatnot. If you want a car thats not gonna break then you need to get an R30
  14. Holy Shit! okay lets see then eggs, milk, bread, newspaper........ wheels look good mate!
  15. Post where your all going to the movies and what time so then everyone can come and steal your cars whilst your in the cinema.....................think.
  16. God forbid americans from getting ahold of Skylines.
  17. ^^ agreed
  18. oh look another "last true skyline" complete with Round Taillights and big lettering "SKYLINE" R34 owners
  19. If this is the case then the new GTR proto is infact a TRUE skyline, due to its round tail lights.
  20. If these cars share the same "Skyline" name, Define "True" skyline.
  21. I dont see how the R34 can be called the last of the skyline family considering the G35 Skyline and the newer concept due for release soon The R34 GTT will drop in value yes, but dont worry about te re-sale value of the car, buy it enjoy it.
  22. $8000.........................hahah sorry im just saying what you want to hear.
  23. Word on the street is that its only around 100kgs heavier than previous model............. Plenty of 10 year old Vr's-Vs's going around in fine working condition that I know of, and many VN's. Your statements are just hogwash. You can dislike a car thats fine, but dont go saying things that are wrong. The Clubsport cant run 12.9's with an aftermarket filter thats for sure, but how about you compare the GT-P to the Clubsport. Or compare the Typhoon around a corner to a skyline insted of a straight line. its a quality vehicle thats for sure! is it just me or can anyone else see in 18 years the Xr6 Turbo and the Typhoon being the VL turbo of today? kinda funny thinking about it really............maybe not hahah When Holden bring out another turbo charged car (if they do) then you can compare Typhoon to them etc etc. The V8 car has an image in Australia, the deep burble the aggresive lines etc etc it all comes down to personal preference to some it may be shit, to others its a passion, regardless of how it performs and handles etc etc.
  24. When holden employees had the car revealed to them a common thing being said was how much the interior makes the new fords interior look dated. Now keep in mind the ford BA model has only been around for what.........5-6 years? The first 2 years were filled with many lemons being produced. The years of the VS, VT, VX and the VY commodore were all dominated by holden. So what allot of you are trying to say,is that a car manufacturer who has proven to make a reliable, reasonably priced family car will all of a sudden loose all of their market and be regarded as shit? Sure there are many fine examples of cars being produced from Ford, nissan, toyota etc etc but hey Who knows holden could go under with the Release of the VE, but Holden are also sold in the United Kingdom. A modified version of the Holden Monaro is sold in the United States as the Pontiac GTO which received BOOMING sales. The Holden Monaro is sold under that name through Vauxhall dealerships in the United Kingdom. Have you guys seen the monaro on Top gear, and when clarkson reviewed the VT. They couldnt get enough of it, clarkson practically fell in love with the Monaro and then they had the drift episode where they had that top drift team from japan come over and drive the Monaro, through his broken english and giant smile whilst drifting he said "good car". Holden also exports its Statesman sedan to the Middle East as the Chevrolet Caprice, to South Koreaas the Daewoo Statesman, and China as the Buick Royaum. Fiji, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia have also been Holden export markets. They may Go under, They may not. But who will be prepared to eat their words if they succeed? I doubt hardly anyone here will. It'll turn to "oh its not a performance car its a boat" "Oh it cant steer" etc etc, sure enough this is a Skyline forum and skylines ROCK but dont be so negative towards everything. /End rant /Run Sledging
