  1. Who cares about the result? We all know its not how you race your car its how you stand by your car.......................... B) Now printing fast and the furious t-shirts with all your favourite quotes on them! From "Smoke Em" to "more than you can afford pal.......Skyline!"
  2. Hrmmm usually people are in pursuit of more boost, but your in pursuit of less boost...........exscuse my while I go have a cold shower.
  3. Wow owning your own race track.........thats goto rule........well actually mines call Mona Vale Road hahahhaha just joking.............keep racing to the track people!
  4. Ive seen one high octane video. The one where they test the viper in the hills of california and it goes sliding off the side hahahah classic. Poor car but still made me chuckle, like when you see someone trip when they're walking........................shuttup you all do it too
  5. Heres a video the fellas on the holden forums posted. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=74...playable%3Atrue They were all laughing and afew were saying "Lucky it did its alternator! " Then afew were saying "Yeah but its also 300/400kg lighter than the Falcon" Still a good watch! Make up your own minds.

  9. in terms of BHP and HP think Of KW at the engine then RWKW Ie BHP = Usable power aka RWKW Hp = power at the engine hows the new line treating you randy by the way?
  10. On the news tonight while some lebanese fellas were giving a speech some of the bra boys were in the crowd giving the peace sign but they were laughing whilst they were doing it................that is to say most likely this peace stuff is just show for the media and nothing more.
  11. True!!!! My sister dates a maori fella and whilst at a BBQ his mates (All Maori) agreed that Hey you go to the pub with your mates and you get into a blue with some other people ie- convict heritage aussies (me) and you have a fight, well then hey you have a fight. You dont pull out guns and knives, and if you get a hiding, you get a hiding and thats that. You dont make the area your own and threaten to kill people etc thats just nuts. What happened to the good ol days of just a fistycuff and that was it? I know the the local maoris round here, whom are our friends and mix fine with everyone fine dont go looking for trouble, but like I said if you have a fight and you lose, thats the end of it, you live to fight another day. Ive had fights with other fellas at the pub then gone back the next weekend and seen them there and everything was right as rain, had a beer with them etc. What happened to Australia............... Burning one of the Bra boys car isnt the smartest thing to do and I predict that soon the Lads will be a part of this brawling aswell...............
  12. ......................another young hotshot temporary Australian.
  13. hahahahahah okay well this girl you know has watched the fast and the furious to many times hahah number 1 - Never take lessons from the fast and the furious number 2 - Never take lessons from the fast and the furious! Number 3 - Repeat steps one and two. but anyhow double clutching is a form of shifting thats used on cars that have no syncros, seeings though all modern cars have syncros, double clutching is not necessary. Sometimes double clutching is good whilst shifting down, to get into a gear. Youll Find that in some cases when a car is cold shifting down into 2nd can be hard therefore the use of double clutching is used to help it get into gear. The term "granny shifting" is just used to insult someone on how they change gears. In terms of dragging, I can gaurantee that none of the professional fellas (or anyone who knows how to drive) double clutch. Double clutching takes time, time is precious over a 1/4 mile. get it? Shifting normal - clutch-change gear-release clutch Double Clutching - Clutch in - put into nuetral/blip throttle/disengage clutch - Clutch in - change into gear - clutch out.
  14. Technically the air that goes through the turbo is Exhaust so it is indeed hot, which is why the use of intercoolers are needed. The crisper/colder the air the more that can get into the engine. Hot air expands right? - Therefore it takes up allot of room Cold air doesnt - therefore theres less of it to take up room so more air and more fuel can be "forced" into the engine.
  15. Trade ya for my Ipod 30gb Photo? deal!!
  16. Oh my God is that a turbo bro - Origin Wog-a-mus-maximus Pro-nounciation - Say it as fast as you can with a long emphasis on the last word. oh my god is that a turbo broooooooooo!
  17. Although Ive learnt the majority of my knowhow through my dad (replacing clutches, engines etc) I did it for two years just out of personal interest. Its the exact course that you have to do to become a mechanic. We basically ranged from the basic shit like oil changes, compression tests, taking wheels off, doing allignments blah blah blah, to engine re-builds, tappet adjustments (head work), taking apart suspension systems, diagonising problems etc and abit of Electrical work hahahhaha infact some of the guys wired one of the commodores up so that when you put your foot on the brake all the lights come on and the horn goes off. I even made a fuel line for a car had to get all the correct bends, with allot of Oxy torch work etc was good. Im not 100% sure how good every tafe is but I did mine at Brookevale tafe (local) which was cool, they have an old dyno that you can put your car on etc. They'll supply you with overalls and steel capped boots if you dont have them aswell so yeah its not too bad to do. /End boring rant.
  18. mmmmm I cant say exactly sorry........only 4 pots though to keep it simple
  19. Unless your specifically concerned with an RB25DET motor, grabbing an old motor thats shit itself from the wreckers and gettings its manual is the best way to go. Thats all we do in automotive at tafe. Get old motors, tear them down, rebuild then to get a pass there must be X amount of oil Pressure and water running through it.....Fun times and not too hard either!!
  20. mutha f@#kin 16 pounds on the stock GTST turbo?!?! you kidding me right??.............introduce yourself to your local mechanic pretty quickly
  21. The majority of the guys on the holden LS1 forums have cars with 200+Rwkw but thats where the power to weight ratio comes into play..........as in one member has a 240Rwkw car which does 13.6 over the 1/4 mile street legal and insured..........
  22. Basically i dislocated my shoulder 2 days before my Licencse test so I had to do it on an auto (Did it to my left arm) anyhow latter on when my shoulder was all better I did my test for the Manual. I had to re-do the driving test on a manual.............now im not sure if the R33 GTS is classified as a high performance 6 cylinder car...........if it is your not allowed to drive one under the new laws. If you got your P's before the new laws came in then your fine otherwise your rooted. And yes once you get onto your green P's they automatically give you the right to drive in a Manual anyhow. This is the best of my knowledge as of 1 to 2 years ago........things may have changed since then........
  23. Awesome...............Awesome to the max
  24. I understand that every car off the line is different, but every single VS commodore ive come across can do a burnout. What i mean is that their channeled Anger towards Skylines etc is just as bad as your channeled anger towards commodores/Falcons End Talking from me
  25. Your arguments are quite stupid really. Your comparing Performance tuned engines to Family car tuned engines. Whoever said they cant spin the wheels in VS V6 is full of shit plain and simple. Saying that "big desplacement is over rated" points out your stupidity even more. Look at the FPV Typhoon. They're not little engines i can tell you that, and the HSV's etc etc. How about the Ford GT40 - That has a 5.4L Engine. Or how about the Mercedes Mclaren SLR The fastest automatic car in the world boasts a 5.5L engine. Hell even the nissan 350Z has a 3.5 Litre engine; now thats not small considering that Holdens Alloytechs are 3.6Litre. Your arguments just bring forward that indeed you yourself, are just as bad as the bogans.
