  3. i heard ford falcon rims fit and also large toyotas.. could get them from a wreckers for cheap?
  4. get a socket of the approx size of the welsh plug (cant remember the one I used) but make SURE that it is a reasonably loose fit (the welsh plugs are designed to squash in, so if the socket is a tight fit good luck getting your socket out ) General rule of them is tap them in so its square, and in far enough for the chamfer of the hole (you'll know what I mean) to be on the EDGE of the plug. A small demo below with awesome pain shop skills
  5. think its for hicas...
  6. im not quite sure duncan as I dont have ABS
  7. are you bleeding the correct way? This is the way i use (may be incorrect but i have my reasons for doing so) Start bleeding from the furthest brake caliper (left rear on R33). Loosen the bleeder, make sure the bleeder hose goes upwards (so you can see bubbles much easier), slowly depress the pedal, but not to the floor as you dont wanna ruin ur master, come up slowly, allow around 1-2 seconds for the new fluid. This is to make sure that the fluid is fully lubricating the seals. Keep depressing etc until u are happy with the new fluid coming out. Hold the pedal in the depressed position, lock the bleeder nipple, pump the pedal up (relatively quick short strokes) so you have a nice and firm pedal, then hold weight on the pedal, release the bleeder so it goes down about half way, lock bleeder then move onto the next one. I think thats how I do it anyways
  8. just to let you know. I'm 18 and have had one at fault claim (write off) one speeding fine and it costs me $3400 to insure my R33. I dont have many things to pay for and I'm an apprentice mechanic so if anything goes wrong its f**k all to fix really. Just have to pay for parts
  9. edit: stupid post will take to PM
  10. i think u mean rack-end? You can replace he rackends if they are bent, but most power steer places wont have listings for your car so you will probably have to take the rackend down to them and get them to match it. Hope that helps
  11. so why didnt u just buy a GTR? out of curiousity. Seems like money is good for you.. so why gts?
  12. hey randy.. i dunno but remember hearing that black a hard colour to do? Would u be able to gloss the bonnet black if possible? You guys are awesome thanks heaps for this
  13. i have driven one... the handle well and rev out mad.. very nice to drive.. i'd like one if i didnt have a skyline

If you live near my I'll by ya a beer or whatever else ya into when i see ya around in town Sorry about the size of my car pic. 15. Hi all Im keen on buying a standard flywheel off someone. If they can do it for 100 bux COD posted to Cairns let me know. Thanks heaps guys
  16. u must be talking about the bearing on the input shaft thingo.. sounds like a fairly expensive job cause the whole shaft etc has to come out and whether or not it is easy to get the bearing out would be another story.. but i havnt done one nor heard one wearing out?
  17. i would never do it to an engine that i drive or drive in it can cause all sorts of nasty things and if you do do it run it for liek 5 secs so it wont do THAT much damage..
  18. im sorrry but why did u spend so much on a gts??
  19. lol i dont think so kid.. lol kid.. I was talking to the owner on thursday night and its a very mildy modded R33 RB25DET. This is coming from the horses mouth apparently. And his brother also apparently has an R33.... I dont know who to believe. But BBQ hasnt been around for a while... where did he get to?
  20. this is sort of off topic and slightly stupid butt... if you use like a zillion cable ties on all your rubber brake hoses will it reduce the flex in the standard rubber hoses? I saw this on a skyline clutch line.. i thought it was a f**kin stupid idea but was wondering if there was actually any truth in it?
  21. thats one damn hot car you have there dude.. *droooolz*
  22. if its shaking through the steering sounds like suspension.. but if its coming through pedal and a sort of juddery feel then its brakes.. i think
  23. if your engine has suffered from a ceramic wheel letting go.. I'd say you will have to rebuild the whole engine as ur engine really doesnt like ceramic dust on your big end and main bearings, rings, well.. pretty much everything.. so ive been told anyway.. forged pistons and rods time for a positive eh
  24. umm i thought just jap were pretty good on sourcing second hand bits?
  25. I'd like to see your compressor work after 3 and 1/2 years not doing anything... The seals are more than likely done for and will probably need the compressor to be overhauled. But good luck!
