  1. Got gass yet? If you need some advice on a gas set up, pm me. What ever kit you get grab one of these nozzles (they are the best fogger available): http://www.noswizard.com/product_desc.php?id=15
  2. What pfc model was the boost controller for?
  3. All sorted, cheers guys.
  4. Great minds think alike. Your right about the gts-t v's gtr thing too. I love my pride and joy- 400rwkw 32GTR... but I do love the thrashability, steering angle and super revvy 20 of my GF's (ha haha my drift car) gts-t... it has some great susp under it. Cheers J.
  5. Cheer up champ. Wagons are awsome! Find a good shell, paint it black, throw some tough rims on, chuck all the good stuff in it and have some fun. Insipration:
  6. I can see a super light rotating mass, revvy, elastic rb20 with a 10k rev limmit, GTRS and itb roar- in your future. mmm... Good luck mate.
  7. Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery interested. Are there any other details? Cheers J.
  8. I'd like to see a locally developed V-Cam style product developed. There is a fairly large market base in Aus for such a device to suit a 26 head. The only reason I havn't got one yet is because of the price and difficulty to set up in Aus. Any takers? J.
  9. Harden up you big girl! Ha ha ha. My GF drives my R3C and PPG dogbox GTR every chance she gets.
  10. un bolt a cam cover and have a look inside... if it's black and gunky, then it probably havn't been serviced regularly. Pull the intake plumbing off the turbo's and check the turbo's for shaft play (too much side to side and in and out movement). You could also have someone pull the sump off and check/replace the main bearings, check the bore etc. While it's out, look seriously at a larger sump and a new oil pump at a minumum.... and if you are going to do any other mods, do them while the engine is out. Most 26's are getting quite old now and most of then need atleast a freshen up... Look at it seriously.
  11. There are plenty of water/fuel seperator products for marine applications. Check it out. J.
  12. Sell it, then buy a t piece boost controller, boost guage and but the rest towards a re-tune.
  13. A comp test is a good indication on engine health, but by no means a guarantee. Who tested it? If you (or someone you trust) wern't there for the test, the numbers don't hold much sway. They're good numbers either way.
  14. You do realise that you can make new lines to the cooler core??? If your worried about placement, purchase a brand name kit, then make new lines and a bracket to suit your preffered placement. Or purchase a pwr radiator with an internal oil cooler and make lines to suit from a sandwich plate.
  15. There are 3 mines in Tas. I'm in Florida.. It's Xmas eve
  16. Good plan... ha ha ha. The other plus side of tas is that there is no annual check or road worthy certificates to worry about. You just register your car and that's pretty much it. I've never heard of a defect notice being given either, just tickets for illegal mods and bald tyres etc. Cops dont really bother you about mods, but they will target you for trafic violations... plenty of cars have been impounded for bullsheet. Combine the relative modification freedoms, cool average air temps (more hp!!) with some of the best driving roads in the world and an abundance of imports localy.... Tassie is great for owning an import. Insurance is better in Tas too. Less average theft and accidents.
  17. An internet forum is not a substitute for mechanical knowledge or a qualified mechanic. It's also not a good place to learn basic mechanical skills. Good luck with it.
  18. There was alot more than 10 made... You just dont see them to often in aus as they weren't to popular to import. With the recent change in P plate laws they have come into fashion. They're a great base for a modifing.
  19. Thats pretty cool... Maybe he needs an electric 4:1 r32GTR ride in replica for his b-day?
  20. If they're off allready... port match them before you coat them. It's worth the ccouple of hours to grind them out. If they were allready on, I wouldn't bother.
  21. That is super neat. Custom?
  22. What flush did you put in the car? There is nothing you can put in your engine that will melt/disolve porcilain... If it's stopped ticking... dosn't mean it's fine. FFS! at very least get a compression test done. Paying someone to look at it is relativly cheap. Best case- you pay someone a couple hundred bucks get a compression test and to put a scope in and check it out. Worst case- you dive it around till it it destroys the head, bore, piston... then little bits of piston/bore/valve do get into the oil and get sucked through the engine. Total loss. $200 or $4000 ???
  23. Old school cars are great. I had a twin cam fast back celica, rx3 and 200B with a Z18 back in the day. All good fun little cars, but are a pain to drive daily, allways need work and don't have many modern features... not to mention a 32 would be a much safer car, better brakes, better suspension etc. Old cars are still OLD cars, even if they are cool. Be patient, a nice 32 gts25 manual will come up. An rb30 block will be undetectable to most people. You can also re-number the block if your worried about it (easy to do). Or you can just leave it 25, ballance the bottomend, run 10.5:1 compression, set of re-ground cams and a re-tune. It should be nice and snappy with a good exhaust and intake. Run a little nitrous on the track if you like too.... 75 shot on a hi-comp 25 would be fun!
  24. XRATED

    Cone Forming

    Picks!!! I gotta see this.
  25. If people dont realise how hard the porcilain is on spark plugs is.... crush up a few, then throw it at a old windscreen! Just turn your car upside down and giggle it a bit... see if it falls out. OR Shoot your car into outerspace and maybe it will float out? OR Put a straw into the hole and suck really hard? OR Fill it up with water and it might float out? OR Put some gum on a pencil and wiggle it around in there... OR Heat the engine up and hope it melts out? OR Drill a hole in your pistson, so it can fall out. OR Pull the head off, remove the chunck, inspect your bore and piston carefully, replace your head and compression test.
