Hey guys !! I've found where the intermittant bastard is !!! The water and corrosion contaminated on the connector of the fluid pump side. The voltage got leaked and shorted intermittantly caused the 4wd and a-lsd check light came up. Just disassemble the connectors to clean the corrosion => DONE => THE GOZILLA IS HEALTHY AGAIN !!! CHEERS!!!

Thanks Duncan, I think you're right about the wirings. Yesterday, when it was in good condition, I tried to shake the wire loom near the pump => the check light poped up => turn off the engine => shake again => turn on => check light was gone. So, very high chance it's somewhere there. I'll strip it down on the weekend and I'll update to you later. Cheers!!!

Hi all, After reading most of your nice advices about the 4wd check light problems in the gtr32s to help to solve mine (gtr34 v-spec), unlucky nothing seems nere. Here is the problem that I've been noticing: Usuallly, when it's cool (ambient temperature/left overnight), it ocurred less often. Sometimes, just started the engine for awhile, the 4WD and A-LSD check light came on at the same time either on stationay (while idling) or rolling on a constant speed. Tried to turn the engine off/on, the check lights went off and came back on after awhile. How come, these two check lights came on together?? I've checked the fuses in the egine bay + driver's kick panel, fluid level, the relay to the fluid pump motor. They are all fine. One thing I haven't checked is the pump motor cause I wasn't sure how to. I had an advice that, have a ATTESA computer diagnostic test, but I'd love to sort the problem out with your advices if it's possible before bring the car to a mechanic. So please advice me how to solve this problem, THANKS GUYS !!!

Hi all, Either on stationary or moving, i can feel the clutch pressure is intermittantly light and heavy. It seems like the hydraulic pressure into the clutch is not operating properly. There are no leak on the hydraulic oil lines, the oil resevour in the boot is still full and no blown fuse. Has any one had this kind of experience ? any sugestion is appriciated. Thanks

Hi all, Have any of you heard or using a product called "PUMA FUEL SAVER" ??. I saw this add on ebay. SAVES FUEL UP TO 30 % ENHANCEMENT POWER ABOVE 15 % PURIFICATION OF EXHAUST UP TO 70 % Just basically clip it on to the fuel line before the injectors and ready to go. Does it sound to good to be true??? Cheers.

Hi all, Im hunting around for a best place (Melb) to tune my stock r34 gtr with 3" cat back. So far i've got 3 quotes: 1 - Apexi power fc + 1.0 bar of boost = 250 KW at 4wheels. Total $1725 (no after market boost cont) 2 - Apexi power fc + 1.0 bar = 210KW at 4wheels. Total $1800 (no after market boost cont) 3 - Apexi power fc + 0.9 bar = 220KW at 4wheels. Toatl $3000 (with Blitz dual stage ebc) Two of them said no need to fit a boost controller for this simple modification, because the Apexi pfc can controll the boost level. Well, the other one recommended me to fit an ebc. Anyway, by compairing the ouput power and the money, they were confusing me !!!! So anyone has this sort of experience with this simple modification, please specify me what gain i should achieve and how much i should pay is reasonable and where to tune. THANKSSS.

In my r34 V-spec has 4wd and a-lsd check lights when switch on the acc. Another place to look at is the rear diff. A non V-spec is smooth, a V-spec has small fins (rough surface). -
Hi all, my mate just got a yellow conairy by the men in blue for exhaust noise in his r33 gts-t. It's an 3'' from the turbo down, hot dog resonator and cannon type muffler. My mate and I didn't believe it was illegal, because it still quite compares to the others around. We took a day off, went to EPA to test it out. The result was 93db !!! watdaaa !!! Well, my question is, how do the others get away with their systems ?? or how many day off they have to take just to (1) remove the illegal ones => (2) fit back the standards => (3) show EPA => (4) fit back the illegal ones => (5) get pull over => and back to step (1). sighhhhh... Actually, im looking for a legal 3'' system from the turbo down (with dump pipes) which produces reasonable power and note. But so far, some said it can't be legal with 3'' systems in the GTRs, because they are even noisier than the GTS-Ts. Well, if any of you using a legal 3'' system, please reccomend me and how many KW should i get ?? THANKS !!!

Fuel Consummtion Of A Stock R34 Gtr ?

WOW !!! There must be something's wrong with my car, cause i've never seen it boosted over 0.8bar doesn't matter how hard i hammered it. Usually, around what rev do we see the max boost ? cause I pushed it to 8000rpm, but the boost rarely hit 0.8bar. The fuel consumption is even shocking ! With around 50L, it will make around 350-370kms. Well, what shall i check and adjust to make it runs like a stock gtr should be ?? Thanks. -
Hi all, i wonder what's the average fuel consumption of an r34 gtr should be ? and what's the average power at the wheels (kw) ?? My car is totally stock with an HKS air filter fitted in the stock air box and an 3'' cat back system. It produced 167 kw at all wheels (at 0.76 bar of boost). Is this normall ??? Any help would be apriciated, Cheers.

Hi guys, i'm thinking of fitting wider tyres at the rear than the front on my gtr (for better traction on take off and light steering purpose), for example: 245/35/18 (fr) and 285/35/18®. But what will happen to the electronics and mechanism systems ??? Any advise would be appriciated. Cheers

Hi guys, my GTR have been having problems with cold starts ever since I got my air flow meters recalibrated. What are the potential causes of this problem and how can I fix it. By the way, does anyone know what the normal idle rev for a standard GTR 34 V-spec as my one is around 1.1 X1000 (is this normal?). Cheers!
