The Resoviours always leak...especially when driven hard. You'll see most 33's at the track with a sock or something over the PS resoviour. Pretty sure you can use auto transmission fluid (Dexron) stuff. Best to wait till someone confirms this for me.

I rev till about 3000. Lift the bandbrake, let clutch out till the friction point and then release then hanbrake. I may not come onto boost as quick as the guys who drop and feather the clutch at 4000 but it's consistent. Tyres and suspension play a monumental part aswell

Spotted "spooled" on lady game drive this arvo. He seemed distracted

Definitly have it on. A guy at the Z-Tune track day didnt have one one his S15 and the wires caught fire mid lap. The heat shield not only shield heat but acts a mounting point for a whole binch of wires (02 sensor i think). Unless you secure these wires some other way away from the turbo then the wires dangle dangerously close to the turbo. In summary...there is no gain in having it off.

Above is the quote from Shell website. Adam, The Shell on Wicks Road in Ryde sells it. Also the Shell on Epping Road (near Macquarie sells it). And if your ever in the city, the shell at Taylor Square/Oxford St sell it I've been on extreme for nearly a year. Sometimes I change back to BP and can definitly feel the difference. Looking forward to what V power can do...... Here's a link to the FAQ's

Hey BB, If you dont mind can you be more specific or is this just your opinion?
-
Hey Guys, Not sure if there is a thread already about this but it seems that Shell have changed their fuel structure. Optimax is now "Shell V power" Optimax Extreme has been superseeded by "V Power Racing" Reading through the brochure and web site it seems that V power racing is an upgrade rather than a rebadging of extreme/ Claiming that V power has a minimum of 100 RON but avereages 101+. This is a claim that extreme never made so it interests me... Upgrade from Shell Optimax Extreme to new Shell V-Power Racing I filled up my first tank last night and will let you know how it go's. I oly have a stock ECU though without a knock reading so my feedback will only be impressions and stuff. I guess we can all wait and see if SK will take up the challenge and do his full test on it on our behalf What i do know is that Extreme is now gone or at least on its way out.

Will potential power be power reduced? Yes. More Importantly your turbo will not be able to produce boost as "efficiently". This will result in increased lag and higher turbo temps. You can pick up second hand decent CATS for <$200. It's worthwhile investment which you will never have to touch again.

Hey Guys, Before I start hitting tracks on a regualr basis I would just to have some sort of timing solution, which is better than bringing a friend with a stop watch or mounting a stowatch on your dash. Are there any purpose built stand alone solutions there for this?? I've seen this timer made by some italian company which fits in the centre of teh steering wheel which i think is cool...but it doesnt have a lap memory so it's only usefull for 1 hot lap. I guess what I'm after is a cheap, purpose built timer with a memory for lap times so I can stack up individual lap times, that can be easily secured to the car and easily pressed whilst going WOT down pass the start/finish line. Any ideas?

Get a cheap kit from Just Jap/CRD/GkTek. Heaps of people (including myself) have them and they rock. An intercooler has no moving parts...there isn't much that could go wrong. Some fit better than others but remeber that you have 3 or 4 pipes with silicon joiners which have a lot of flex and can me moved around to get the best fit. If possible have a crack at doing the install yourself...just make sure you have a weekend free to do it. Until the days that you strat running 300+RWKW with 20Psi Boost there is no need to think about the shit hot coolers such as ARC. Good Luck
