  1. Dont worry about breaking things. There is only one wall at Wakefield and its on the straight. Just make sure you got enough tyre tread, brakes, brake fluid topped up if needed, clamp down your battery and budget to do an oil/filter change straight after. I've been there 3 times with standard ECU, brakes, SMIC, cat back and 17's. Had a blast as you can see from the piccie in my sig. (turn 8)
  2. Not quite methinks....It's good to recieve as a gift from someone else but I wouldnt recommend it as driver training Vs value for your own money. Take your own car to the next SAU track day and I'm sure there will be heaps of guys who can show you the lines while you figure out the limits of your car. Last track day I went to I went out 6-7 times. A stock skyline can handle it....if you treat it right.
  3. The guys i spoke to when I was there said the "Champion" ford is best
  4. I did this thing about a year ago. Pretty cool. the shortened track is a bit tricky coz it falls out from under you at the point where it cuts to the hairpin The cars are pretty good. Big Brakes..stiff setup and plenty of power. There is shitloads of grip in the cars so dont be afraif to go WOT in the middle of the hairpin. Make sure you get the video option for like $30. You get to see what your face looks like going WOT down the straight. :-) If you know how to heel/toe then remeber to do that. The clutch is nice and bitey on the downshift
  5. I use ELF Excellium 10W 50. Powerplay do a oil/filtercombo for around $65.00.
  6. mmmm interesting...Thanx JNR
  7. Hey Guys, I'm gonna take a stab at installing my new front mount today and was wondering if anyone wanted to lend a hand. I had a look at the DIY's and tutorials around and pretty sure I know what needs to be done but would appreciate a experienced set of eyes and hands around aswell. I've got an angle grinder, tin snips, level, circle cutter, drill etc etc. I live in Top Ryde so if your feeling generous give us a buzz Sam 0406315013
  8. Thank god. Cheers mate. I love the sound of my car..I dont want it to change
  9. Is it still a screamer pipe if it plumbs back into the exhaust pipe? Just about to install a split dump....will I get a different sound to it or is the different sound only apply to screamers that don't plumb back into the pipe... Cheers, (BTW Stock internal w/gated turbo)
  10. Updated with Pics. Pic of LED will be uploaded tonight
  11. Hey Guys, Just about to install a FMIC and dont have the cash to get a decent front bar. What would my front bar look like with a FMIC. Can I cut the front bits out at all? I would like to remove the centre bits but dont want it too look stupid. I think it might because the driving light/blinker assembly is not "surrounded" by the bumper. I searched google images for hours looking for a pic of someone with my front bar and a cut-out for a front mount but came up bupkis. Thanx in advance guys Sam

  17. Hey Guys, On the lookout for a Type M front bar for my car as the standard S1 bar looks a little woosy (FMIC coming soon) Cheers Sam 0406315013
  18. $120.00. Pm "mr Crust" but im pretty sure he's sold out http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...amp;hl=mr+crust
  19. Monopoly = Nengun are pretty much the only Japan supplier so they can dictate the tersm of sale Myth = Shipping takes 2-8 weeks.
  20. Bunnings sell "Make a Bracket" stuff. It's a dollar for a 1M piece and you can make bends in once very 5 cm. My experince with a heathshield is positive. On my first track day I went out with an un-shielded pod. After my 3rd run the car was gurgling like a bitch every time I back off the throttle amd throttle response was lost. I also had trouble starting the car all aftermoon. Afterwood I purchased a CAI box from "mr Crust" which uses the factory snorkel to direct the cold air into the box. Been on two track days since and have not had ANY gurgling issues which has resulted in a more consitent car all day no matter what the temp is.
  21. Free case of beer for whoever can make it onto the Berowra gorge ferry/punt without ripping off their front bar (never been happier to have a standard bar right now) Galston/Berowra Gorge = Australian version of Mt Akina. I grew up in Galston...so in a way my life is very similar to Takumi....but instead of delivering Tofu I was delivering the Hornsby skanks but to Horsby station. (ahhhhh memories)
  22. I would be wondering if there are any differences Mines Stage II package and the infamous Mines "attack" car driven by Tsuchiya. Are Mines "hush hush" about thier mods? ( to an extent)
  23. Berowra gorge > galston gorge > Richmond
  24. It wont be that bad but a turbo back exhaust will give you a stronger pull at the high RPM ranges and taking more advantage of your increased boost.
