I too have this same problem.. I have fmic, pfc, ppod, zorst, bosot controleler running about 11 psi. My air flow sensor is maxing out occasionally/quite often under full throttle, but i dont beleive this to be the problem. Minme surges on medium throttle: on heavy and light throttle i dont really seem to notce it. On heavy throttle i get knock levels around the 130 - 140 mark (ie very bad) and check engine light flashes up due to stock airflow sensor maxing out (5090mV). Took it back to tuner and he believed it to be a turbo problem. A few friends of mine beleive it could be the wastegate and it may need to be ported (dude from work apparently had this same prob: got his wastegate ported and it fixed it). I was just going to get a whople new turbs to fix the prob (plus it is on my wanted list for future upgrades!)... But this help would be much appreciated if anyone has a solution.... Havnt really had a chance to get my prob sussed out fully yet due to time and money constraints. Also when lifting off throttle and changing gears my boost controller over boost light is flashing up (ie im getting boost spiukes) light is set to come on at 1.4 bar however boost gauge is not showing levels near this..... which seems a bit weird... would this be due to the spike bieng almost instantaneous for a very short duration which the boost gauge would not be able to pick up due to it not being able to update its display in time b4 it is reduced back down to safe level. Would this be likely due to the wastegate not operating correctly?.. Sorry for shite grammar buit typing in heurrry as bosses are watching over my should er and getting shitty with the anount of time is spend onte net. cheeers chris

Like i said before : what planet have you been living on!... Cops dont make up stories : SCOFF SCOFFF SCCOCCOCOOOOOOFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!. I got done for drink driving 6 months ago in a front wheel drive automatic ford probe. The payment officer ( i mean police officer) wrote a one page story how i drifted this car around a corner in the wet with water spraying up every where from the REAR wheels for the court case! ie it was all a made up story so that they would have an excuse to pull me over and give me the breath test! Oh yeah i blew .173 when they brethowed me. Even if i could drift a front wheel drive automatic probe, it would have been interesting at that blood alcohol concentration level! What i want to know is what was the coppers blood alcohol concentreation level to come up with such a bullshit story!!!!!!!! hope the dick got fired!!!! Hell if i was his boss i would fire him on the spot!! If i was a dreg of society i am sure that the story compiled by the copper would have been far worse!!!!!! Anmyway alls well that ends well: got the minimum fine and disqual! And i am defenitely getting my 900 bucks worth from the states roads!!! i found a torch and a screwdriver under my old carolas engine bay after getting it looked at!!!! Good torch too -- still use it constantly. Apart from them leaving things off the car you should be happy that they left you a gift behind? Good wrench = 50 bucks these days.

I have never let her drive it b4 (i normally attempt to change subject quickly when the topic pops up)... and yes scares the absoulute crap out of me when she drives her little laser with me init!!!! still.... i wouldnt miss the cruise for the world!!! I have a friend in an R31 GTS (aus delivered one of 200 built) that may be keen for cruise as well... will have to let him know about it (i dont think he is on the forums)

I think most of u will find when u actually finish your degrees and find an engineering job u will use probably at most 1% of the knowledge you learnt at uni. : half the people that we employ at electrolux are not engineers, merely people from the lower ranks who have worked hard to step up from trade/apprentices etc --> ie the passionate hard working ones. The engineers who remain engineers all their lives in my book are losers: merely someones pawn being used!!!!!

Unfortunately Ash i live on a property out the back of woodside in adelaide hills. Due to licence disqual on feb 1st for one year i will be moving in to the city area (hopefully somewhere close to work). So hoepfully i will be living in city at time of cruise (may even consider letting someone else drive my car with me init like GF.) Will keep you posted! Oh yeah... got my car back last night: had to get the exhaust maniffold studs put in as a lot of them had been snapped off from warping due to trubo heat and as a result it started sounding like a VW combi van!: THank Fruck it is fixed!!!!!

My advice: Uni = waste of time. It just teaches u how to problem solve, which a lot of people allready know how to do. THe people who make all the doe work for themselves. I could have taught myself my uni course in about half the time by cutting out the bullshit and using my time wisely! U look at all the people who are making serious bucks and tell me how many of them went to uni! The people making all the money are the ambitious people who work for them selves and will push through anything. If u are keen/interested enough in your work and portray the correct personality traits a human being can excell and make money in any area/field. It all depends on how you react to other people (ie peo0ple skills). I know a lot of people (perhaps some of the smartest around) who will spend there whole lives being kept down and suppressed as some management chronies gimp engineer whos knowledge and information will be reaped for money!!!!! All i have to do is take a look around my work!

Yeah go tto know Cammi (we called her Kazams beacuse of her personal flotation devices!) and nicole quite well over the years i was there.. I have the exact same problem on a 33... Mine appeared when i changed the fuel pump over (bigger pump)... Some times almost makes me pass out when driving rediculously hard! It is strange how i can only smell it when the car is being pushed hard! Make me think the seal for the fuel tank was not put on properly when my boshc pump was put in... Will investigate when i get time -- not really in a hurry to get it fixed. Just so long as it doesnt catch fire or blow up when some one is smoking around it!

How are you coping witht the lack of females in your classes!!! When i was there it was a sausage fest!!!... Cant blame the girls from not wanting to undertake an engineering course there as most the people doing the course are pretty geeky. (and course is rather boring). Luckily had a few good people there to keep me sane!

Went for a cruise last week with a Red R31GTS (GTS167), REd Beemer, and R30 turbo coupe... Fun little cruise through town and around the beaches! Also been seeing a Black R34 GTR which is pretty shcmick!!!! on the way to work some mornings! Getting problem with my turbo sorted -- > believe it to be the exhaust manifold had warped due to heat from turbo and had snapped some of the bolts holding it on! Look out next few weeks going to be pushin car hard!!!!!! heheheheheheheh

Is she T3 manifold. Would i need a new dump if for replacement of stock turbo? When does it spool? Is this BRAND NEW? come with oil and water lines? are there any Actual pics of turbs! Cheers... CHris

Since have put on 400r front bar, fmic, pod, turbo back exhaust, 18 inch deep dish rims, PFC + hand controller. ie spent 29000 all up in 3 months! 190RWKW and 320 nm torque. Im about to lose my licence and am looking for a new project prefer GTR. TO get 300 RWKW just need bigger turbo and cams!
