  9. im about to undergo the rb25de to det conversion heres a list of what i got: front cut inc. gearbox, tailshaft, rear diff end, brakes, and 5 stud conversion. should cost all up $5-6k inc. install, depending on how much i can afford to bolt on (fmic, injectors, etc)
  10. I’ve got a rb25de, gearbox, etc. (basically a front cut) coming out of my car in a week or 2 if your interested. Your proberly after a det though
  11. I'd rather spend the money on mods, as strich9 said it'll be easy for people to remember you, now days anyone that doesn’t drive a Camry or a 4wd is classed as a hoon. I've seen some good plates out there and some that are stupid. -michael
  12. bad luck dude, hope it buffs out. At least no bricks or worse came down with it. I'd still be crying though.
  13. alrite thanks everyone i'll give these people a call sometime during the week for a quote -michael
  14. yeh i mite have a go at doing it my self, thing is i dont know much at all about the conversion and i dont want to screw it up anyone done this b4 want to help me out on the weekends?
  15. Yeah I know, I’ve got the hubs and brakes as well and a set of stock rims though I’m going to try and keep 4 stud by redrilling the rotors as i think my rims will have enough clearance for the callipers
  16. I own a R33 GTS (RB25DE) and awaiting a R33 GTST (RB25DET) front cut, with front and rear brakes, rear diff, gearbox, which should arrive near the end of July or some time in august. I was going to do it all myself but I've started a new job recently and don't know how much time I'm going to have when tafe goes back. I've been told its a straight forward conversion (take out/drop in) and shouldn't take more than 3 days to do. If any one could suggest where to go to get the conversion installed cheaply, quickly and carefully. I went to my local mechanic he said he could do it, but he said it would take him a while to do it and didn't know how much it would cost all up. My engine gearbox and everything I don't need will also be up for grabs once the conversion is done, may be able to work something out, if the place is interested in parts. Thanks, Michael
  17. I've got a brand new genuine Nissan R33 clutch sent over from Japan sitting at home, willing to part with it for the same price I paid for it. I bought it thinking my extreme clutch one was dodgy but it turned out to be fine just not adjusted properly. Pm me if your interested. My 33 has got a Extreme ceramic clutch as well, good clutch when adjusted properly, pretty jumpy though. -michael
  18. 16.19% is all i can remember
  19. i had this problem: my right tail lights indicator used to fill up with water, i was told to drill a tiny hole on the bottom left of the indicator so water could flow out instaid of puddle up and into the boot. i havnt had a problem since.
  20. you can find out what engine you have by looking at the engine number located on the lower rear left of the cylinder block. As for the differences not sure with the rb20 engine. I have a rb25de and planning on putting a turbo on in, it wont be able to handle as much power as the rb25det but should be as fast as or faster than a stock gtst, hoping for 300rwhp at 7-10psi. try a search in the NA Performance section -michael
  21. gtst hubs and brakes and dont forget 5 stud wheels, i think thats it You can upgrade the brakes without doing the conversion, just get the gtst discs and get them redrilled for 4 stud. -michael
  22. JB, i guess u didnt have it on at the last sauwa cruise, or it didnt detect that cop car just after the first meet point?
  23. I've got the same problem. If I manually close it will open electronically no worries, been meaning to work out what the problem is for ages, just haven’t had time.
  24. Apparently the el falcons O2 wired to up to a r33. I ended up getting a genuine one from Nissan. -michael87
  25. I think there should be a Nissan sticker that is like a seal the timing belt cover, if its been changed that sticker would have been broken. When I got my skyline the car yard I bought it off did a full service, changed belts, oil, coolant, plugs, etc, and fixed all the things the RAC Inspection picked up, (as part of the sales agreement). About 4 days after I bought it I took it in to my local (trusted) mechanic who carried out a full service, replaced all the belts, oil, sparkplugs, coolant etc. It was because I didn't trust the service that the dealer had done because someone told me that they use cheap oils, belts, plugs, etc. I found that they hadn't replaced the sparkplugs, but had fixed everything on the RAC Inspection list. Anyways if I was you I’d take the car to a trusted workshop and get them checked out because if your belt goes its going to cost a fair bit. -michael
