  14. ahh... unlucky dude, I had neon’s on my old car they were blue, got over the pits no worries and got permits. Just make sure there secured properly, tubes aren’t visible, are on a separate switch which has an inline fuse on it. Not sure about BOVs i think there legal if there not too loud or vent into the atmosphere. Good Luck at the pits, hope all goes well. -michael
  15. there is one that k&n make for skylines i think the part number is: 33-2031-2
  16. Just what i was going to ask michael I drive a white R33 usually parked outside tafe with Skyline written on the spoiler

  18. take everything that u kno is illegal at the pits off, otherwise its just making more trouble for your self, and you will have to pay to go over the pits again. how long will the pits take? well that depends, they do a pritty good check over the car, and take it for a drive. If you need permits now is the time to get them done. As for GTR wings, most spoiler shops make a "copy" one, but u can get a real one from nissan but they will be pritty $$$. Try places that sell bodykits
  19. I went to east perth pits, that proberly why i got such a hard time though
  20. I get a similar noise in my r33 when starting the car in the morning, I think its a f*cked lifter. At idle its a ticking noise, its quiet between idle-2k rpm as I accelerate I get a tapping noise (which increases in vibration as the revs climb) between 2-3k rpm. then its quiet. (vice versa for de-acceleration) It gets quieter as the car heats up and the oil pressure drops. Its really unusual. Going to take apart the engine and find the problem as soon as I get the money, it doesn’t seem to be doing any damage. -michael
  21. yeh i agree ive got one that ive use all my life!! i used to wash mum and dads car with it when i was 5 and still do Ive bought 2 different chamois's; 1 maguiars one, and a kenco one, none of them did windows as well as my 14yr old one. ive never looked after it, i just hang it out to dry, apparently u are ment to not let them dry out. I swear by my trusty ol 14yr old chamois -michael
  22. I had a gt wing on my old car regret it now, I’ve grown up now I got yellow stickered for it, the guys at the pits told me to take it off as it is not stock. The pits guy said gt wings (the steel/alloy ones) are illegal due to being dangerous, sharp edges and they don’t "give" like plastic/fibre glass when something hits them. The guy gave me 6 hours to take it off (this was a signed agreement similar to a yellow sticker paper) and if my old car was seen on the road with it on apparently they can fine you, and if you cut someone’s arm off (haha, whose stupid enough to put their arm out in front of a moving car) you will be held 100% liable for their injuries and be taken to court by the police as u violate the written contract. I mean the pits guy could have just been spinning a story, but the car didn’t pass anyway due to suspension. Sold that car learnt my lesson not to do anything to drastic to the car, because cops are like magpies, there attracted to shiny objects. Easiest way to do this is get a couple of rubber grommets and take the wing off before you go to the pits then u wont be signed up to their little scheme, and put it on when you get home. When I was at the pits this guy with a supra which I see a fair bit with a gt wing, he always takes it off to go to the pits. -michael
