  5. yeh i always turn aperture down to lowest at any given focal length, i like a shallow DOF. will try turning ISO down and decreasing shutter speed next time
  6. Few pics of my mates new GTR I took tonight. Not really happy. Need to figure out how to shoot better at night. also, anyone know what wheels they r ? he was told they r light weight jap racing rims, i dont recognize em but :S ? I think i need to turn ISO down, and probs edit them a bit to add some contrast back to the sky n shiz
  7. quick question, help would be appreciated Taking some night shots the other night, lol, and they all turned out pretty grainy, if i turn ISO down this will help correct ? but to counter that i will need to slow down the shutter speed aswell right ? also finding it hard to get nice focus, how can i help this at night ? is poor ISO (graininess) more affected by shitty kit lens or the body and image processor itself ? edit: also will a polarizing filter help reduce headlight glare/reflection in pictures ?

  15. took a couple shots this arvo and tonight, heres a few i mucked around with. Hard trying to get them looking nice without going too far :S, not sure if i did or not. I included a few of the crappy night shots so i can get some advice so the night shots r shit, any tips ?? i'm pretty sure the blue spots are reflections from the HID's on the lense, hence how they can float in the sky haha. I know i need to get a tri pod to start with for the darker shots, i didnt get a single one correctly in focus. I also tried out my new flash tonight, nice wireless one. I tried it to the left of the car, directly infront of the car, behind the car, and at my feet, all set ups resulted in either a totally black pick (behind) a huge white spot and a shadow on the wall (to the left) an over exposed crappy look (in front) or something else, how can i correctly use this flash to better low light shots without shadows and over exposure ?. i should get a tripod for the flash too. I figure theyre generally better if you have 2 so they can correct each other ? any tips much appreciated

  18. technically i think so, if there both putting out the same amount of air as one, into the same size pipes as 1, at the same rate, it should spool up the same amount of air as 1 turbo in half the time, but theres probably some efficiency loss to the effect of maybe taking 60% of the time of 1 turbo instead of 50%, i dont really know lol, too late to wrap my head around this
  19. cos think bout it, the PSI will only increase as the air is compressed further, when the air leaves the turbo into the the intercooler and on the way to the intake plenum it stays at the same compression level it already is, just theres more of it trying to get in, the air from another turbo cant compress the air from the first turbo if its at the same PSI. If however one turbo was running 10 psi and one was running 20psi i think, not sure though, you would end up with a total of 15Psi in the motor ?? edit: just thinking as well pressure is relative, 15 psi in a 10lt container is a lot less air than 15 psi in a 20 lt container. so the turbo isn't sending out a static '12 psi' its pushing air until the pipes its filling reach 12psi, both turbos know when that pressure is reached and stop, i guess 2 turbos work half as hard as 1 on its own ? to answer the first question that doesnt mean theyre both pushing six, cos theyre both a part in the same system, the psi in that system is always the same for both turbos. the way your thinking about it basically is that both turbo's are sealed off, reach 12 psi in a certain volume. and then both release they're pressurised air into a container the same size as each of the individual originals, but even then it wouldnt create 24 psi cos unless u have 24psi behind it it wont squeeze in
