  2. yeh i thought it sounded odd, but to have 206kw atw with stock turbo sounds a bit higher than i would expect, so i dunno :S

  4. hmm yeh 205hp is very low i think, 206kw stock (not at the wheels given, but thats ~280hp) vs rb20 165kw(~220hp) and my old 32 gtst made 200hp atw with a 3inch exhaust, fMIC and a pod filter does the car still have stock exhaust ? otherwise great build ! good to see some people still go for a nice amount of power instead of chasing huge numbers I much preffer a bit less power but more response, linear delivery

  6. just dumps or full front pipes ? I know the dumps are cast pieces but if the stock front pipes on a 26(34 Vspec II if it makes a diff to zorst) looks anything like the pressed items on my old 32 (rb20) then id want to swap them pretty quick
  7. cheers mate ! looks like a nice piece of kit, any insight on weather an aftermarket ex mani is worth it ? again purely for MAX RESPONSE, i know the stock item is said to be adequate for fairly high power levels, but im chasing every bit of response i can cf drive shaft lightened flywheel aluminium pulleys anything i can think of to get nice early spool so even if mani/dumps dont get more KW its not an issue

  9. Cheers for reply I figured they'd be adequate for th power level. Same ad turbo manifolds. But in the chase for ultimate response would bigger be better ? Also does ceramic coating and heat wrapping give enough benefit to bother with it ?
  10. Theres a few big name aftermarket jobbies around, mines, HKS, Tomei and the price can vary a fair bit ! is there one particular brand that is considered better than any others ? (doesnt have to be jap) it probably wouldnt be a problem on a low power car, but looking in the vicinity of 400-450rwhp every bit of flow would help (HKS GT-SS or 2860-9's) cheers
  11. Love the way your customizing the whole interior. Steering wheel especiallly. Not being able to just chuck on a momo or something due to air bag makes it annoying Car is looking great ! Can't wait to see finished interior. IMO 34gtr seats are as good as any aftermarket recliner. You'd only get better in a fixed back. An you don't really need that in the street. The only benefit of buying new ones is having a brand name on them

I had the defi display unit in my old 32, used it as a speedo and water temp sensor, never got around to it but was going to add oil pressure and oil temp. you can also add exhaust temp, fuel pressure and boost ( i had a seperate defi boost guage) Its an awesome unit, you can set max values and then it will alarm if it gos over, which you can also get a seperate LED light for, you can customise a few different things, PSI or BAR, kmph or mph, stuff like that. in general i loved it and wouldnt hesitate to reccomend it, only thing is some might say the display is a bit dated, its just a single colour (brightness adjustable) pixelated display. But this didnt bother me, was still fully siiic theres mine (well, was mine) edit: just read your whole post, are youo talking about the full defi dash or the display i am on about ?
  13. so true, doesnt matter what car it is, might not be meant to be a sport car or anything, if you love it, and modify it nicely, i got respect for that its just wankers in family cars that are STOCK that think theyre hot shit that get on my nerve (stock v6 commonwhores) great build mate ! cant wait to see final power figure and 1/4 mile time
  14. Hi mate. I'm chasing around 300rwhp or 200rwkw. Slightly not or less it don't matter. Don't want a lag monster and I don't think this power level really requires one. Looking at modified r33/34 turbos. Do you have anything off the shelf ? Wish I could get a hks 2530. But funds won't permit
  15. 2530 kit will cost u around 3k (imported, plus shipping) brand new, or more if u buy locally , i got quoted 3.5k from a HKS dealer in perth

  19. yeh i know, but from what i read sumone suggested to "maybe soften the front dampers up abit, get more grip on the front" just read back, i did say "soften front springs" meant dampers, my bad lol
  20. haha yeh mate, read up a bit, adjustable coilovers. cheers also new adrenalins made a bit of diff already. will keep fine tuning. cheers for all replies guys
  21. few pics of my interior so far. back seat is still to be retrimmed in black, possibly with same bride material as the door trims. no pic but the sun visors are also in bride material. hard to tell from the photo but i also had the roof done in black. and the plastic bits painted to match (light fittings, mirror) only things left for interior is to replace the stock rear vinyl panels, coming loose, get bride digos for the front, type R for driver. HKS boost controller, and a carbon fibre panel infront of all my electronic stuff under the stereo. in there i have my momo wheel, nismo gear knob, defi boost guage, defi link meter with water temp, oil temp and oil pressure. blitz turbo timer, pivot shift lamp (on steering column) defi control unit bride floor mats, think thats about it hope you like

  24. booked in for bridgestone adrenalins all round tomorrow, will see how that is. if need to will soften front springs slightly, if still not working will soften front sway bar. psylor, cant stiffen rear swaybar, as i mentioned its already max stiff
  25. i will soften front and see how that is, booking in for new rear tyres asap so was wondering wether or not to do fronts too, might aswell i suppose i aint no D1 drifter but yeh i can steer through most situations lol, never over corrected yet touch wood thanks for the replies
