Ive just put a deposit on a car that was imported by a company that frequently does so. They import cars, do em up and sell them to dealers, or people like me who have been reffered to them. My question is obviously it has been complied so it is road legal and such, but once they have fixed up the car as they see fit it will be going over the pits, is going over the pits as good as an RAC check ? as in i wont need to pay for the RAC to say its all fine cos if it passed inspection it must be ? do the pits go into as much detail as the RAC would ?

bump, this would be very usefull, there have been MANY of these threads popping uip lateley. I myself (if nothing arises soon) and going to make a cardboard template and get my dad to make me one out of aluminum or sheet steel (hes a fabricator) with a perspex lid. if i do that i will post a thread bout it.

ive yet to buy my 32 i have just started looking, and i will barely be able to scrape through enough money to pay for my loan, fuel and $2.5k insurance evry year + money aside for maintenance and mods :S but i have a passion and its something i just have to do, i wont be happy driving round in an EB falcon or some other car to get me from A to B. As im sure everyone on this forum understands a car is more than a mode of transport ....wish my dad could understand :S

thats how i know it i was driving that car to work for ages haha and no it doesnt cost, insurance covers it. well i guess youd have to ring ur insurance to ask if they do but my dads did.
