  1. that was very clear thanks dude. also now that i understand that, i know the diff between atmospheric and plumb back. so how come some BOVs are plumb back but say its a sequential BOV which is known for its flutter, would it not flutter if it was plumbed back ? on that point, are atmospheric BOVs legal ? or is there a Db rating ?

  5. ok so yeh, i searched but couldnt find anything definative. Basically i understand (or think i do) that a BOV will vent excess boost (pressure) when you let off the throttle (eg gear change) so that the turbine wheel isnt compressing air between itself and the closed throttle body. thus prolonging the life of your turbine. SO A wastegate releases excess boost when its too high and could cause damage to your turbo. is that even when your throttle is open ? does that mean a wastegate is working all the time (at high boost) ? THEN Does that mean u could get along with only a waste gate ? Im a bit of a noob just trying to learn so any info would be awesome.

  7. the way i see it we all have a passion for cars, well most of us and arent in it just to be able to say "i have a skyline, im in the import scene" so getting exactly what you want is very important to me. Im specifically looking for a black, manual R32 Gts-t Type M stock body is good, GTR kit would be alright but any other kits i wouldnt want, except possibly vertex or do-luck. As far as wheels go it doesnt bother me, i will buy new ones anyway. as long as theyre not emmbarassing haha. I wish i could afford TE-37's but might have to settle for a cheaper but similar looking wheel If it has a turbo timer and EBC ill be happy, saves me from buying them. I dont mind interior mods as long as its not permanent ones. I plan on buying momo interior accessories and new ( or used GTR) seats at some point and having them re-covered aswell. I will accept window tinting too. Id rather it didnt have any aftermarket exhaust (trying a bit hard there i know) cos then i would feel like i was wasting money when i bought the one i wanted FMIC would be a bonus though. i guess i could go on and on, the basic car im looking for is clean, black, manual and as close to perfect interior as possible.
  8. i cant give you a 100% answer, but im almost certain i seen one come up in the used cars before. either way u can get 32 Gts-t so i would be surprised if you couldnt get 33. although you only seem to be able to get 34 in GTR. oh well. even for the sake of one car, its a great game mate

  11. Me and my mate at work always give each other challenges in the form of who can get the best time on a given track in a given car. In arcade mode go to time trial and use that so you can do as many laps as you like. last couple we've done, wich of he has won them all , were; Laguna coil (not sure bout spelling) in an NSX-R: my time was 1:42 midfield in an '00 34 GTR: time was 1:22 post up more challenges or your times for those two. maybe we can keep this thread goin for a while

  16. yeh the camera does look a bit wierd, but it could be done somehow i would think. I cant make up my mind cos the video quality is too low, but if thats CGI its the best ive ever seen lol

  18. i dunno if F6'sstill have the same problem now, but when they first came out they were apparently riddle with problems, aside the fact that theyre a boat apparently the gearboxes would go after only a few thousand k's of hard drivng. But dont quote me, ive never driven one.

  21. nah i dont have a car yet but i have money and im looking at a few soon. Also as i said, im not after a full pro system so im sure alpine will do good for me, and its only subs and amps, the speakers were focal or something, cant remmeber. and as far as what type of music i listen to, i literally listen to all types. I have an Alpine 9855R head unit and im pretty sure that the different options on there will allow me to customize for different types of music to suit my taste. Thanks for the big reply though
  22. yeh i havnt just said "OMG I WANT ALPINE !!" its just why not ? theyre are plenty of brands out there but im sure ill be happy with the alpine and they are relatively well priced for how good they are. I want rear speakers just so it will be even louder basically but the front ones are better speakers! The reason i want 2 12s is probably cos im a wanker and want to drown out other ppl with bass haha. Im well aware that in such a sized car 1 10 inch would do just fine, but im a show off and yeh as far as type S / type R go's I did initially want 2 type R 12" but i realised theyd both need an amp to run at full capacity which i cant afford, this way the two type S will sound just as good as 2 half powered type Rs i cant be bothered doing it in stages, I WANT IT NOW !!

I just got a quote today to fit in a 32. comprised of; Alpine V12 MRV-F545 - for front and rear speakers Alpine V12 MRD-M605 - for subs 2 x 12" Alpine Type S subs and 6" front and rear speakers cant remember the brand or model number but they were roughly $100 more than Alpine Type R's and i was advised they were much better. The installation would include sound deadening in the doors, parcel shelf and bootlid. 4 guage cable instead of two 8 guages, or the other way round, whatever the better option is lol (im not a huge stereo buff ) and a box for the two subs. I got told retail it was worht close to $3.9k and he would give it to me for $3k flat. Does this sound about right for the products(which i know RRP for about $2k, not including the sound deadening and sub box) im getting and the (presumably) quality install ?
