yeah he would of had your car, just outsourced fixing that particular thing...

gavin is friendly guy down there, said they'll need the car for a day, take the instrument cluster out, send it away to instrucment techs to fix it up, and then get it back in the arvo... $200 is swapped over counter and everyone goes away happy...

just spoke to gaven , he sends the instrument cluster to another place to fix em up... be interesting to see how much they charge to have it fixed, its $200 to fix, or $100 and i can get replacement but with higher kms, hmmm interesting...

private msgs sent hour or so ago be interesting to see how long this gavin woods would require the car to fix the odometer, as i cant see any of my mates driving 30mins to bring me back home while he has the car for a few days ..heheh how much did it cost u for ur odometer/throttle body fix?

who is this gavin woods that fixed your odometer ?? i cant find any record of him in white pages at all , so either he's a very private small person or just not added.. id be very interested in having him look at my odometer and getting it working again, if he has done same for you previously.. thanks

seriously interested in that instru cluster if it will work in m car... no chance anyone has cluster with close to around 35000 on it? (im dreaming arent i)

ok theres another thought on the subject, ill keep that one in mind... im going to do the different wiring setup on the fuel pump that i read in another thread to keep it operating at 100% instead of it dropping down when it hits 500-800rpm and see what result this achieves ... failing that ill tackle the same possible problem as you had .. thanks for the info..

isnt vortex only 95ron ?? its basically the same as normal unleaded, id only use this in extreme conditions and if so, turn that boost down.. its ultimate for my supra n skyline only..

predator, mechanic #2 who knows skylines has recommended the same thing ... so go figure, the diagnostics from ECU can only help so much.. *shrug* either way he also just bumped the idle up as a temp fix that only has slightly reduced the amount of times it does it now.

my r33 does this as well.... could be driving around, and then at a set of lights just *off*, doesnt sputter just turns off as if someone removed the key.. ive had 2 mechanics look at it, both pointed finger at my turbosmart type2 bov that i put on it... saying vacuum leak so to prove that theory we hooked it up a smoke machine and no leaks were found... plus the problem was there with the standard bov also. mechanic #1 - electrical problem most likely and need to go to nissan so they can wack there diagnostic computer on it to see where the issue is... (not many mechanics have these since the units cost $80k - hence why nissan service department you must go) before i tried nissan, went to another mechanic and it had him scratching head also... he increased the idle a bit, that helped a small bit , so now instead of dieing 8/10 times its 5/10 times... im considering ringing up nissan tomorrow (brisbane) and asking them about it, and also how i can go about fixing my odometer that just stopped

Hi Guys, I own a R33 gts25t and my odometer / tripometer have stopped also, and its giving me troubles since im trying to sell it at the moment as well.. A few people on here have mentioned fixing it themselves or taking the dash to an "instrument tech" Can anyone who has had success fixing these, tell me who / where they took it to get it fixed (im located in brisbane, but if still supply name of business maybe i can find something up here that can do it also) and/or more detail information about how you went about fixing it yourself.... any help would be greatly appreciated !!
