I'm in the position where I know what I want and can afford to wait for the right time to get it. Problem is what I want is in Adelaids right now for a good price!
-
I was quoted about $1400 to freight a car to Kalgoorlie, so it's much cheaper for me to fly to Adelaids, test a few and drive one home. Decent road trip too! I'm actually suprised at the lack of import car dealers in Perth. Way more in Adelaide or the east coast.

Hey all, Are there any car yards in Perth where I can find a S2 white RS4S with dual sun roofs? I can find a couple in Adelaids but I'd much rather shop here in WA. I'm travelling from Kalgoorlie, so obviously Perth is closer for me! Cheers, Greg. P.S. Is the white on S2 the same as the pearl white on the S1? Our S1 was a nice car, only sold to finance our E50 Elgrand. But I want manual again!
-
Checked ebay, lots of M35's on there. Will check Gumtree now. Any importers in Perth that are any good? I stopped following the scene a while ago so I don't know who's out there!

Hi guys, I'm after another Stagea (had a S1 RS4 with all the fruit) but we upgraded to an Elgrand for the extra room. Now we are a different state and much better incomes, so it's time to get another one for me! I want a factory manual S2, but not the 260RS model. I'll settle for the RB25DET Neo...it's only going to be a daily and will never see track time. Would like dual sunroofs and leather, but not quite deal breakers! No yellow paint, will consider most but not fussed on silver. Prefer stock as possible as I cant be stuffed dealing with transport here in Kalgoorlie. Inspections need to be done in Perth. Sorry for being fussy. Where is the best place to start my search? I've tried scouring here, and Carsales.com.au but is there anywhere else I should be looking? Thanks in advance, Cheers, Greg.

How Would You Build A Street Sleeper?
FelixTRX replied to R33_Dude's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I've had the sleeper before. 1984 Nissan Bluebird TRX, stock white with factory bodykit and alloys. But it had a 195rwkw race prepped CA18DET with forgies, MicroTech, black FMIC behind the grill, Garrett T04 ball bearing and 3" mufflered exhaust. Was good enough to 12's in street trim but looked just like any other Bluebird on the road. Miss that car. -
We have a E50 and have 5 anchor points in ours. There are two in the roof (for the middle row technically), and we have had one fitted between the middle and rear row in the centre, and two more in the boot area.
-
Damn, glad we got in and got ours when we did! They are an awesome vehicle and worth more than what they sell for. And they shit all over Tarago's. Want a diesel Tarago? Buy an imported Estima for way less than an Aussie delivered Tarago!

Mine came with an ipod cable that plugs into to the back of the HU, but I don't have an ipod so I don't worry about it. Mine is good so far, TV works whilst stationary but the reception breaks up when moving. Oh, I know nothing about earthing out the pink wire with the earth wire for the HU. That's just naughty and illegal! DIN refers to the size of the HU. Normal size is 1DIN, the bigger ones with the 7" screen is a 2DIN.

Argon can be used to MIG steel, but ArgoShield (proper steel gas) is much better. And yes, need Argon for TIG, regardless of what you are TIG'ing.

If you have $600 limit, try Jaycar for a sub and combo. A 2 ch amp, 12" sub in box, and all your cabling and fuses should come in at under $600. Jaycar Sub & Amp combo. Only just found that! If I didn't already have a Jaycar 4x50WRMS amp, and 12" boxed sub, I'd be buying one of these. Leaves you coin to upgrade your HU too.

Hey guys, Instead of starting a new thread, I thought it best to just add to this one. Can somebody please translate this sign from my Nissan Elgrand and I want to try and understand it! Cheers, Greg.
-
There is nothing wrong with the E50 series of the Elgrands! We have just got an 8 seater 3.2TD and absolutely love it! Check Ebay.....some good ones on there, depending if you want diesel or petrol V6. Cheers, Greg.
-
I'll get back to you on that Chris. Have to run it past 'she who must be obeyed', and seeing as she is due to give birth today, now is a bad time!
-
Yes Chris, top unit is the tape and radio, bottom is CD only. And antenna is a standard Aussie spec. Will test it out on another HU but I'm 99% sure I won't need an adapter. How much can you do the adapters for, or am I just better off going to JB and getting it there? Cheers, Greg.
-
Hey all, Replacing the Jap spec HU's in my 1999 Elgrand and was hoping there is an adapter loom I can get. I had one from a Nissan Maxima in my Stagea, and have a Magna one in my Magna (duh!) and I have heard the Nissan Micra adapter loom from Aerpro but I'm not 100% confident enough to order one in. From the pics supplied, can anybody help?? Cheers, Greg.
-
Well Chris, the collar around my ignition barrel is the light, nothing more, nothing less! My mate who installed the alarm must have it confused with something similar to what he sees on newer Nissans! I have another question regarding stereo wiring but I'll start a new thread for that! Cheers, Greg.
-
So I can just have a normal flat key cut and it'll work? Sweet! Wonder that that collar around my ignition barrel is then?
-
Here are the pics of my key. If you need more, say so and I will provide! Cheers, Greg.
-
I'll get some pics of it as is, and opened up. Maybe you can tell me if the rubber buttons can be replaced? Ours are worn out, and through! Cheers, Greg.
-
Chris, I have NFI what NAT is, or what version I have! It just looks like a normal N15 or Stagea key.
-
Just slightly to the left of this topic, I have a 1999 Nissan Elgrand, it only came with 1 factory key, so we want to get 2 more keys cut. I was told by my alarm installer that I have some kind of key ID ring on my ignition barrel. He said that I have to get factory Nissan keys (not cheap) instead of the normal metal keys that we had with our 1997 Stagea. Has anybody got around this? Cheers, Greg.
-
Is there a chance I can get a copy of this too? I've got one on the way, pre-loaded with Aussie maps but I'd like an alternative option, just incase the GPS that comes with it sucks. Cheers, Greg.
-
How did you do this? Constant power or ACC power? I'd guess it's the ACC power because the constant just holds the memory? I think! I'm looking at getting one of these for our Elgrand, but with the digital TV feature too. But going through the people who sell to the ebay sellers who sell to you. May as well cut out the ebay link, still PayPal it and have it freighted to my door. Cheers, Greg.
