  4. Nissan recommends a 75W90 for gearbox...so i would go superlight weight (same with Diffs, 80W90...so 75W90) BUT that being said i had lightweight in mine a while ago and was Great but when you trashed a bit and oil warmed up...down shifting got rather tight (gotta push harder to get into gear) while i have used Redline Oil, and it is fabulous stuff!!! KNOW THIS it is designed for racing...and therefore designed to be changed out every 10000k...so while it is great, it doesnt last very long for the above reason is why i have changed to Royal Purple Oil and it is just as good (or better) in every way as Redline Oil so my recommendation is +1 for Royal Purple MaxGear RellikZephyr
  5. i trapped at 170 at drag strip for a 12.7 run not a lot of places legally you can take a GTR above 200 but i believe a motoring mag did a high speed run on a track and it topped out at like 263(r32 gtr) just run out of revs r33 gtr runs same ratios doesnt it?? so not any quicker and r34 6th gear is only JUST taller than earlier 5 speed so my guess an extra 20-30k's at rev limit RellikZephyr
  6. i meant the Holden engine, wouldnt put the Holden engine into it what i would love to do to a supra is put the Toyota Crown V12 into it, then try to fit the GTR throttle bodies to it, and put ram tubes on the throttle bodies...that would be coolness RellikZephyr
  7. ^^^^ +1 well put i went the R32 GTR option but its what i wanted all along so there wasnt really a decision RellikZephyr
  8. damn you people are harsh!! i think its a pretty good conversion (sure i would never even think about doing the same) but its a very clean and neat conversion, nice paint, fully redone interior, full stereo its the full package i think only mistakes he made was colour choice, and the enigine might be most powerful but its still a decent engine and makes a very unique car like i said harsh RellikZephyr
  9. mine is filled with the std GTR guages...hehe shoulda brought a GTR...no hole...no problem j/k most i have seen are filled with a pocket from std and a lot of people buy a double din headunit cause they got the room to do so there is also aftermarket guage clusters you can get...defi make one...sliding performance sells them RellikZephyr
  10. ha ha thats awesome RellikZephyr
  11. yes steering IS speed sensitive (is in a GTR anyway, i assume its the same across 32s) and the signal comes from back of speedo guage very strange setup, speedo is cable from gearbox to guage, then changed to electric from back of guage to whereever needed Hope This Helps RellikZephyr
  12. everyone seems to be saying "keep your car legal and you wont have any trouble" come on...say it all you want we know its not true anyone here read MrToy33's thread, his car is legal, didnt stop idiot cops giving him defect notice (fought it and won) i dont think its the police as whole, they are doing what they think they need to do to keep the public safe it comes down to individuals, most cops are good but some are wankers (even if they werent cops they would still be wankers) same as car enthuiests, most are good but some are wankers (and even with drag tag and the like, they will still take it to the streets) same with EVERYTHING, minority ruins it for the majority My 2c RellikZephyr
  13. 82% RellikZephyr
  14. ohh aftermarket diff that makes a bit more sense cool have fun bro RellikZephyr
  15. cheapest peoples i have found havent bought off them yet so dont know bout service but will be getting stuff off them soon http://www.jsai.com.au/shop/index.php?cPath=21_22_27 Hope this helps RellikZephyr
  16. hey that oil is TOO heavy for a skyline diff you want a 80W-90 LSD oil i had a 75w-140 in my diffs a while ago (redline) and cause it was too heavy it created a shudder in steering at low speed turning stick to castrol if you want but Royal Purple or Redline is better (really just personal preference and pocket depth) but know that 75w-140 is too heavy make sure you get 80w-90 (hypoid LSD oil) RellikZephyr
  17. R32 GTR Power: approx 300hp ET:12.767 MPH:105.883 60':1.810 Tyres: Bridgestone Potenza GIII on Std BNR32 Rims Nitrous:No Fuel: Shell V-Power RellikZephyr
  18. ha ha i like it RellikZephyr
  19. well ok if specifically tune it to the 91RON then yes you shouldnt come by any problems... although when "spirited" driving you will still run a higher risk of detonation...and with detonation comes great detruction also...you say with the money you save by gettin this cheap fuel you will mod your car...fair plan...but once modded you wont be able to take advantage of the mods because of the 91RON fuel i.e cant run high amounts of boost cause the fuel just isnt good enough infact pretty much any performance mod you might chuck on would be a waste of that saved money new computer...still has to be detuned to utilise 91RON new turbos...can run high boost fuel wont cope bigger injector and fuel pump...still pumpin 91RON so...detuned to suit all the above with 91RON would give little to no power increase might work well to save to buy suspension, clutch, zorst, bodykit etc... but performance mods like above just wont increase performance RellikZephyr
  20. its not so much a loss of power with 91 RON ... more of cant make (high) power safely (that word again...detonation) and...wait...your saying to FILL your skyline tank with 91 RON (regular unleaded) its $20?? so based on the assumption r33 tank is approx 50L ... your saying that fuel where you live is 40c/L 98RON is at very most 20c/L more than 91RON so based on 100L (whih skylines dont have!!) its only a saving of $20 RellikZephyr
  21. most decent boxes come with a price tag thats why they are decent and why they are pricey cheap is cheap for a reason... remember that RellikZephyr
  22. prob more depends on how much power and torque your making just cause its a 3ltr instead of a 2ltr doesnt mean it needs a strong box 200-300kw R33 gtst box would handle it with a decent clutch 300+kw and lifelong reliability youll need either a dog box or straight cut gearset but out of the standard boxes the R33 GTST RB25 gearbox is the strongest i believe RellikZephyr
  23. really using 91RON all the time wont cause too many problems BUT ONLY IF you ACTUALLY drive it like a daily driver (always change gear at 3k,no high revving) using 91RON, the second you get "spirited" you will run a VERY HIGH risk of destroying something in your car my question is... if your so concerned about saving $20 on your fuel bill...why buy a turbo skyline? so yeah prob ok to do BUT you CANT drive your skyline like a skyline you have to drive it like a granny... and doesnt that kinda defeat the purpose of owning a skyline EDIT: plus your quote...This way i would lose a bit of power, say 250kw instead of 290kw, wouldnt work that way you probly couldnt make ANY DECENT power on low octane fuel (too prone to detonation) just doesnt work that way RellikZephyr
  24. also im pretty sure its the same part out of a Holden VL Commodore RellikZephyr
