  1. Considering that most things are controlled by the ECU, what does the mechanic play with during a dyno tune? - Just the ignition timing? Does dyno tuning make much difference over a standard service/tune? Or is dyno tuning only beneficial during problem diagnosis? Eg...dianosing a pinging problem.
  2. Got a 3" dump fitted today at Turbo Exhaust Centre in Wetherill Park, Sydney. The guy makes them in-house and claims that he supplies most major performance shops in Sydney. Very nice piece of work. Fully mandrel bent and beautifully crafted flanges on the turbo end as well as at the cat end. Bolts straight up! I highly recommend them. $330 supply and fitted.
  3. Like Airzone, I'm interested in the potential benefit of having a high flow dump and cat, mated to a stock cat-back system as an initial exhaust mod.
  4. Thanks BigDatto, Does Pete have the only exhaust shop in the complex? It would make it easier for me to find him.
  5. Thanks Conan. The details of Fussy's Motor Performance is as follows for anyone else that's interested: Fussy's Motor Performance 62 Hume Hwy Lansvale 2166 (02) 9726 0058
  6. Just Jap are selling 3" dumps for $280. Looks pretty good. I might just call some exhaust shops and enquire about fitment only.
  7. I'm looking to have a custom 3" dump and front pipe made up and installed on my R33 GTS-T. Can anyone recommend a good exhaust shop that will do a good job at a resonable price?
  8. I'm interested in upgrading the dump and front pipe of my 96 R33 Series 2 Skyline GTS-T with one of those combined 3" dump and front pipes. What sort of benefits can I expect considering that the rest of my exhaust will be stock, including the CAT. I've heard that boost will build quicker.
  9. Sydneykid, To clean the internals of the AFM, do you actually mean taking the airbox out, physically removing the AFM from the car, taking off the mesh and spraying brake cleaner onto the internals, then re-assembling everything? I've never dis-assembled the AFM before so I'm not sure how sensitive the AFM is, ie is it safe to be spraying things into the AFM and will it require re-calibration?
  10. I'm looking at replacing the airbox paper filter with a Unifilter - not the pod type, just the rectangular ones that are straight replacements for the paper type. Has anyone had a problem with the oil on the filter getting onto the Air Flow Meter and creating problems? Most people on the forum appear to be using some form of oil based air filters - K&N, unifilter, blitz, etc... Feedback would greatly be appreciated.
  11. I am very interested! Is it made of mild steel? Mandrel bends or press bends? Where do I go to have a look at it?
