nissan went to all that trouble to prevent tooooo much over steer.. irony.
  3. always prefer high reving N/A power plants. less headache in general and a linear power delivery.. great general driving, be good on fuel down low driving in low rpm torque and still have the poke up top. why do people call this car hybrid ? whats hybrid about it ?
  4. are you sure they wouldnt just laugh their asses of and walk away shaking their head?
  5. replace dip stick with nob, advise if warm feelings ensued.
  6. why not do what most people do... if your going to compare on general points ... over all etc... compare what your get for what level of $$$... with a general aim in mind. you cdan ofcoarse nit pick and call everything apples and oranges... but at the end of the day the deciding factor is what you get for your $$. 50k range etc... 80k range etc... remember what gtr's cost brand new ? No? look it up... google > that way... look at what you get for your hsv or FPV options included (6 pot fronts 4 pot rears etc) and compare to something you could get in that price range.... age should also be a factor here... personally I like to drive... the more performance I get out of a vehicle the more I tend to enjoy it... but thats for fun..
  7. when purchased 2-3 years ago my read $69 on the odo.. suuuuure it only ever did that..... guilty until proven inocent is true. I tend to believe mine did over 100k by a bit and now is in the 130-160 mark after putting a solid 30$ on it myself. kind of funny how all these cars read roughly 60-70k on the odo's and then after the first owner drop significant value as the first owner pushes past the 100k mark... kind of a self perpetuating cycle isnt it... fresh imports... what a crock of shit... ITS A SECOND HAND CAR FOR GOD SAKE~! Treat it as such, think logically... hey wait... best case is that the k's arent turned back THAT far .. its just been idling in chocked multimillion people sized city traffic jams day in and day out. another option.. general cheapy that has been picked up like the monkey said and light fixer upper and sold for a mint paying all the various middle men along the way to you... orrrr its a shit box with some $$$ spent on it but mostly dodgy work.... worst case I ever saw... entire engine bay + car from snow area with salt on the roads had rust EVERYWHERE! ... resprayed straight over the top and shipped over... to bad when it got here the rust did its thing and bubbled up... the car looked like that cancer ridden chick with makeup over the mega aids xma over her face smoker add... hmm time for a cigy... I like to tell myself it will never happen to me.
  8. I cannot believe the SR has more torque than the RB25.. unless you mean the 2.0L the rb ... i also cant believe the rb's top end is better... Were you driving an rb with stock cams ? if not that would go a long way to explaining your experience with the rb. the s15 should hold a higher cornering speed and maintain better lateral G through a corner... we are talking about an gts not a gtr right ? the power delivery in an s15 is a crap load more "peaky" in my experience but my experience was from a track oriented (read not drifting) s15 setup... yes my mate doesnt like to drift his 30k s15... I call fair.. fun to punt ab out with his though.. The suspension was revised / refreshed.. the power was slightly upped but not massively.. so I cant talk about a stock turb s15 but I understand similar sized turbo to my 33's stock on a block half a litre smaller.. so not likely to give a savage increase in torque low down. the rb25 has a higher comp ratio stock so those 2 items together do not lend themselves to each other. a 34 with an R front end is tough looking... but the s15 looks better in allot of ways.. the front isnt as tough but non series 1's get females wet. non abs is definetly a more controllable option provided your always awake and conscious of what your doing when driving.. for those times when your less aware the abs saves you. ps in the wet niether car are good ideas for use with mild / heavy throttle... as in any car with a typical turbo power delivery.. that sudden bump in torque tends to strip a week of use of your tyres even though you let it go straight away.. im not talking locked throttle but it will give you a chance to find the clutch and correct the stearing a bit. ps my daily is a 33 gts I love it... but reality is reality eh. I haven't driven an s15 anywhere near as much but have taken it to the edge of its (and my own) capability on more that one occasion to find myself swinging through the cones and ending up looking like a fool passenger. I can definetly stablise myself better with the brakes... (provided they are balanced well) I have to say the s15 will change its direction ALLOT better (not performing miracles) and be allot more forgiving to mistakes... once the 33 steps out farther than you like its a howling roller coaster holding onto you butt. hoping it wont be to painful. this is mostly due to weight though I don't think an s15 feels that much lighter.. tinnier definetly... the 33t... initial turn in is awsome and if your not into savage sliding will perform very well... hell I can pull a faster lap in it... but the slightly loose chasis twist on turn in might be why it has that whip lash effect on the end... the s15 is a tighter chassis for sure which is probably why its more forgiving to stupidity.
  9. I realise I will very likely never own a true 400r and I also dont like 400r kits on 33t's much .. a friend of mine has it on his... it's not like I don't have the most common change to a 33t either though *read gtr style wing*. That said the 400r front bar is definetly ok by me on a 33t when you want to put on an FMIC.. the ducting to the front brakes isnt a bad idea with the new pipes covering the previous ducted cold air etc (S2). My S2 does have a standard S2 kit and wing + lip... sorry yea I actually was the one who swapped the 33r styled wing to my T.. the S2 wing was well... gay. I bought a T because I wanted an R.. like people buying boxters when they wanted 911's... etc Meh I bought it years ago now and I could definetly afford an R now.. Guess I kind of have enough fun in my T for now..... sunk enough money into its stopping and turning... could use more go though... Defintely thinking about a track only import evo6 to bounce around a few tarmacs and some dust. they are starting to come down to acceptably trashable costing levels like my T.
  10. I like evveryone else love the 34 front and have to admit it looks tough.... the sidebar and rear bar choices worked well together... wonder how it looks without the widening on the rear though.
  11. notice the sign off and readable english... no... notice the sign off.... how big is the back seat though ? enough room to rumble the rear axle or is this another on the bonnet deal?
  12. higher priced here due to the buyers they will attract ? not to mention the governing body wants the general populace to drive the slowest vehicles possible reducing road fatalities etc ?
  13. So which driver pulled the kamakazi run for jp pride then ?
  14. dont go over the top, he sold his 34 becuase it had to much money in it for him to enjoy it, so he did the sensible thing and bought something he wouldnt mind smashing so much. ps I bought a line becuase I fell in love with the 400r ... a 33 .. shape... I wanted it and still want it... if there was a choice between a REAL 400r and a 34 i would take the 400r .... but im a little away from my next upgrade yet and I love to rally my 33t so meh....
  15. aslong as you dont bottom out your awd will be perfectly fine on dirt as long as its not rwd permanently. Can the manual torque switch from a 34 work in a 33 or is there no solution for the 33 ?
  16. as if you wouldnt wonder why you didnt buy a pagani zonda /f instead... hell a nose bleed veyron would have done better. I do have a taste for lambo's but their upper echelons seem to just turn me off... and if theres one thing a car should do @ mach 3 with my pubes on fire is atleast give me a boner. Helps with my stability >;P
  17. being the universal language of conquerers it is naturally.
  18. agreed, but in the mean time ill just have to stick to my skyline breed upgrade.
  19. sky ryan, smoked some weed, laughed my ass off..... guess what... i might do it again.
  20. +1 round gtr keyring ftw
  21. at least the nut behind the wheel of the 33r isn't as likely to be as loose though.
  22. My 33T does the same thing... BB turbs tend to keep spinning for a dew seconds after shutdown. If they didnt I would be more inclinded to worry. google is your friend.
  23. no one mentioned cagiva ? you know... ducatti's other brand. no one like them or ?
  24. you know cast iron does handle heat better than mixed alloys... that is not true for all alloys but generally accepted... guess most car makers use cheap alloys ? alloy blocks tend to warp with to much heat, so do cast iron so you would damage something in both cases but the iron block would return to its original shape and actually has a bit better...*poofteenths* better elasticity. the wieght and tensile strength do not compare though.
