drifting is not the fastest way around a track.... its fun... but meh...

mate all I can say is atleast you didnt look like a twat parked in the ruff on turn 3 like I did. Missed the brake point daring myself to hold off longer thinking I could squeeze more out of it till I ran out of road. bit of dust while already on the outside limit of the tyres an it was 90 deg slide right in (dont know how I didnt flip) and gripped in the dust picked one side up about 10-15 cm when it came to a stop... best part... only bent the rear sway bar. shook for about 2 mins, got pulled out an went again, 1st lap pussy foot it a bit to harsh, got the shits and pushed it through but picked a better line (out of the extra dust after I got pulled out, worked a treat and 'felt' faster, didnt actually pull a faster lap till my last hot lap. cant look more nooby that turn 3 and not trying to drift it mate ^^.

s1 12k-14k s2 12k-16k Think about it, you have to compete with the wound back odo "fresh import" thing.... the fact they are second hand cars seems to be washed away somehow ? I dont understand this logic ? Most will know they are wound back, most will want to retain some resale value, and after seeing over $100 on the clock = less 6k-8k (when compared to wanker dealerships asking 18-20k), it makes for an interesting market. 33's getting into the i can get a loan for it bracket make it popular as its pretty much the best car for the money around aus (taste depending). ps I own a series 2 33, I bought mine bit under 2years ago now for 17k. I got mine stock with active diff and every optional extra except the sunroof. still love her and only wish I didnt have to spend my money in so many places so I could get her to where I am happy with it.... so yea... I understand the reality as well as still love her eh?

Persinally I fell in love with the 33R, couldnt afford to keep it after purchaseing one soooo step down.... 32R but couldnt afford to rebuild / renew / restore it like I would need to so I went out an bought a 33t an modified it. The plan is to keep it till I've paid of the house sufficiently to warrant selling the current car and purchase a 33r. till then il wind my t up till its a stable 250rwkw's for some sport @ the track.

HKS GT2535 Im looking for a max 250 rwkw with the best spool I can get. KS GT2540 - 350 PS Output COMPRESSOR: -Wheel- 46 Trim - 51.7 Inducer / 76.2 Major -Housing- 60 Inlet / 50 Outlet - 0.60 A/R TURBINE: -Wheel- 76 Trim - 53.8 Major / 47.0 Exducer -Housing- T3 inlet / Internal Skyline Type oulet - 0.64 A/R straight of the hks weby... they want 1800 for it new... sounds a couple of hundred high... meh... what sort of numbers should I be looking for baring in mind I want internally gated, t3 exhuast flange too mate to my split front / dump. if I have to change exhuast mani thats not really a problem as long as it fits. essentially I want spool this side of 3k rpm if I can manage it and max output @ 250rwkw. fuel pump is on the way. almost saved for a pfc. after that some s15 injectors, a decent compressor and my power should be where I want it. fix the scratch where some bum keyed it, new rear sway bar to replace my dodgy stock item. an oil cooler...... new steel intake piping il mock up to my airbox. a new clutch an flywheel..... hmmm..... lets see...... pfc .... injectors....hairdryer.......hmmm 5k more ontop of the 3k i've spent and she's done... wow that was a cheap 250 rwkws... 2k cheaper than more eh....

hmmm....fmic = MUST more driveable car with more consistent results. cold nights also make a BIGG differnece where as before was always crap by comparison. split front / dump 4psi increase with stock controller..... *yeS*

fitted to my car perfectly. 33 25t s2. didnt need any bending on my own, pretty much just fit first go only hard parts, getting hte dammed heat shields of and re-bolting the t3 flange was a much smaller mission

what is with this term "fresh import". they are second hand cars.... they were just driven in jp and new to aus... what ... people in jp dont thrash thier cars..... so wierd people talk about fresh imports as if they are new cars... particularly car salesmen eh

you have to learn how to crawl before you can walk. but then again the misses comes from a family who regular track days. she is no stranger to cars and her personal best in the same platform is maybe a few tenths to the poof teenth slower than I am. turning and braking are bit of different stories but put her in the old mans cobra an well... she rapes me on straights an i rip her around any corner you can name... stick that up ya carol

WRX arent very fast stock... and yes they're gearboxes are notorius for dying Go a 32 and mod it with the extra $$$ ******************************************** 32's arent very fast stock either, thier gearbox's arent much stronger, a bit of extra power and they snap like twigs.... sounds very familiar eh... talk price range, if your comparing 20k, compare that with other 20k cars atleast. cars are cheap in aus ? really, i was under the impression cars here cost a fortune compared to many other places in the world. south east asian countries not with standing I would suspect we are over proced.... thats the point of tarifs isnt it ?
