  1. true, they just happen to be where I am at on my path to a better performing car. The idea of the thread was there were some places maybe I could improve the OEM or re-use the oem that I may not have thought about, my listings were just ideas. the stock boost controller would be good as making the second stage boost slightly higher and saving on an adjustable ebc.. which i wouldnt call cheap. but yea there are alternatives. got the FMIC installed an a 3" cat back. got a 3" wide body cat (honey comb style) not yet installed (finding gaskets to fit is a mission so far, prollly pick up from an exhuast place). need a front + dump, thinking the btmbl just incase i go for my full hp target or change compressor, but finding someone who's selling this second hand seems hard since no one seems to be giving them up and instead is keeping them. getting a 20psi vac/boost guage and the $22 ball n spring type bleeder of ebay (the one fromt the 8 page long thread here) next week also a decent pannel filter. need a fuel pump and planning on an intank replacement as Im not going over 250rwkw at any point. Then the decisions on the big money, management, compressor, injectors. which way I go on management will determine the last 2 and whether or not i go for 220-230 or the 250.
  2. For example can the stock boost controller be modfied to hold increased boost levels? How adjustable is the stock exhuast cam gear on a r33 25t, ie is it practicable use @ time of tune. does it have enough adjustment in it to be of use? Can the stock fuel pressure regulator be adjusted to a higher pressure requirement if required ? What parts can I increase in effectiveness with some modification for those of us who wish to increase output without the mamoth pricetag involved ? Ofcoarse some need to be out and out replaced depending on what your aims are ofcoarse I'm just wondering where we can re-use the stock parts some of us also have mortgages and dont quite earn enough to indulge in thier hobby / passion as much as they like. Im thinking what have we got that is needlessly upgraded when we simply dont requrie it or there is an alternate method that is cheaper and just as effective. No dodgy hand grenade setups or something likely to fail miserably. Ideas?
  3. WOW Skyline HCR32, ECR33, ER34 RB20DET, RB25DET $1710 $2520 $2880 powerplay rom tune is expensive.... It would be my first choice but its about $1000 to much at stage 1. so... im paying for eprom + expansion board + software update + thier tune.... it says NO DYNO time... ahmmm wtf.... just a bit rich meh ? maybe theres some pricing im missing there but it SEEMS like they are pricing themselves out of the market ? like if they dropped thier price by about a grand AND were a decent tune I would think they would role in the sales ? anyone in NSW doing this with a slightly more reasonable price range ?
  4. LUCKY BASTARD! go buy a lotto ticket an share around ya schmuck! hahaha
  5. most the cars were sex, but the ffa chiky porn FTW! man gota luv what 2f2f did for fashion, THE 1 THING THEY DID RIGHT! 2f2f Promo GIRLS FTW!
  6. currently have 1 on my car thought mines of the standard core size with a curved style end tank on the left. the flow is not as bad as you would believe, the pipping on mine was a nightmare as the top side pipe is to high and requires an extra bend, almost immediatly to get low enough to get past the reo and into the corner of the car. its an excellent method of dropping excess pipping and even allows use of hte stock piping route. down side is you have a wierd looking FMIC setup, having hte piping on 1 side means you can see the usual pipe on 1 side but not the other and the fact that mine has a curved side which improves airflow back looks wierd when you can see it behind hte front bar.
  7. an im bit past that an waitin eh
  8. il take the misses, aslong as you dont expect someone to carry your vinyl crates

  10. response... ppfffttttt
  11. come off it, 40k for an awd turbo flat 4, that was an awsome deal, hence the popularity eh. ofcoarse add on the dealer crap of like 5-7k and theres your bs price but something that could, turn, brake, ad some sway bars an handle and with some small mods make some decent power. I've never even owned one an i will miss the wrx for what it was. common mans sports car. aus trim came with recaros leather wheel etc, thats just awsome for hte price. hell cheaper to mod than my line is.
  12. so what oem replacement ecu's are compatible for an r33 25t that are also relatively cheap to remap. i want management and I want it for 500-700 an that doesnt seem likely to bloody happen.
  13. the pic of your car in your sig looks deceptively crooked
  14. Thanks guys. Am I likely to get to a range of heat. in my exhuast that could cuase a problem ? Im assuming this is some sort of indicator of how hot the engine is running / burning ? oil temps probably being a lot more relevant, but what would this be providing a warning for ? if the exhuast is hot i doubt it will likely get to a point where this would cuase some issues. I dont know enough about it to judge that this is a safe risk to run unprotected, I dont believe it to be likely but what risks are involved... i might be a wet blanket but i wana be sure im taking an acceptable risk something isnt going to pop due to me removing something.
  15. The information I have found on this sensor is pretty in-conclusive. Could someone set me straight on this ? IS this a exhuast temperature sensor ? What is its purpose in the miriad of processes involved in running the beasty 2.5lt donk ? This question may be redundant but would it matter if I was to simply leave this sensor out ? I assume not perceptibly since i found A pair of posts stateing that they hadnt nticed anything but this isnt quite the fact i was looking for. maybe over time something could go bang so I ask. This is currently a problem for me as I have recently aquired a wide body catco 3" cat to match my 3" cat back system and only need a front+dump aka batmbl revised version. ^^ the catco cat has no port for this sensor so I need to know if thats a problem, I also need to know where would be an equally good place to install the sensor should it be a requirement that is not in the cat, I dont want to hinder flow and havent seen the sensor itself out of the cat so i dont know if its going to cause a choke point... possibly why its in the cat to begin with ? if the cat is the best for this reason, can i just drill a hole an tap a thread in or is there some part of hte cat process I could damage doing this, assuming there is a chemical reaction going on in the cat to change gasses and prevent the toxicity shite aka the point of having a cat in the first place. new cat... what to do ? so pro's / con's of removing would be something helpful. also in hte future a second hand pfc or equiv management system will eventually go in, will this sensor be of use to the tunning process or the day to day running on a non factory ecu? will they make use of it ? links in various directions could help me... cheers
  16. me n the misses headin from out west will come, but no time to clean the beast for the cruise.... thas jus bad manners eh try a late thursday clean ^^ cant wait to park mine an pretend its someone else's next to all these schmick rides you got ^^
