i check tomorow, just got a diagram, i cant remember, the ground is where i prolly mused it hooked it to the iluination wire, cuase iv got the ilumination wire empty on the head deck, the brown free and got the power antena right i've left the dash off an parked her in the garage, not having to pull the rear out Hopefully will mean i only have to sort this out and she's pretty much done, i've got til 12 tomorow befire i have to hook up with the relos for a burp an gulp.

similar problem to me dude, posted on maintanence forums, ask you the same question i was asked. have you changed out your stereo recently? cuase aparently you can mistake the ilumination wire with ground, even with a multi-meter which i was useing at the time, aparently it conects directly to the constant there leaveing you none for the stereo. aparently i;ve blown a fuse aswell but i cant find one in all 3 locations. 2 fixes im waiting on an answer to here, eitehr t of both to the constant though dont know if this will have adverse effects, ie. blow a fuse or a bulb. OR run a wire directly from the battery and put in an inline fuse for your constant for the stereo. option 2 Will work for the stereo though is a slight pain in the arse to rip out my interior for the 10th time etc etc. I havent check the little black enclosed box to the left side of hte fuses which aprently contains more fuses, but my car comes with the ignition warning and ignition surround light which aparently get thier protection in there, hence the fuses, after i re-wire my stez il let you know p.s. no rear driving lights (brake lights work), no annoying buzzer, no back light to the dash but all the driving/warning lights function and no ignition surround light. enjoy. -
hmmm, so if i wire the constant to the ilumination wire, this should fix the problem? if so, can i chuck in a junction and wire the same constant to the head unit without blowing a fuse constantly? or do i have to pull a wire directly from the battery and throw in an inline fuse to keep a spike in check oh and yes i replaced the non factory double din shite with an aus spec single and moded a generic infill to the bracket, fits nice and snug but no back-light to the dash and the driving rear lights dont come up (brake lights work) along with the annoying beeper and the ignition surround, while checking the dash replaced the crapped bulb in the hicas location, new it was gona come up cause it didnt ever turn on durring reds but now the hicas light constantly on is going to piss me off something fierce, atleast till i get it fixed. Oh I forgot, cant find a single bloody busted fuse though i havent check the one little black box for the annoying buzzer, the driving fuse is great, so back to tracing out the lines tomorow, gona re-wire the steza after reading up MORE again, see if tha fixes it, but only have till like 12, dang was hoping to get a ride in this long weekend, managed to re-apolster the seats and fits the 6x9's nice and sweet n now just have to sort this once problem and leave the hicas till next weekend or payday if i need the cash.

all the dash insturmentation works fine i.e. the warming lights etc, but the backlight is dead so when you flick on the lights the dash is still black, also the the annoying key is in the ignition but the car isnt on ding is gone and the ignition surround is no longer lighting up. does this sound like the stereo wirring? the front of the stereo lights up fine. Why would this wire not being hooked up drop my dash backlight? or why would any wire to my stereo drop my dash backlight ? sounds like pointless wiring unless its to support some flash function of the stereo.. ?

al the other lights work fine, heads, rears, foot sterio, internal so this leads me to believe when i removed that front single piece facia i must have pulled the power out of it. someone clue me into where abouts it it would be? does the dash lighting have a separate circuit and therefore a separate fuse? that would be nice, simple fuse swap, instead of pulling the HOLE dash.

golden oldy seems to apply in a few of these cases, NEVER TRUST AN IDICATOR !!.... well derr aye? and yes, I carry a club lock (which I actually use as a club lock to) and a well hiden edge, I believe in a proportional response. Theres 2 reasons why. I LOVE my girl and I LOVE my car, touch either, like anyone with the balls to stand and the brains to run if its strategically a good idea. When it comes to it, you get 2 choices, either you can take it an be at someones mercy or you can stand up and try an come ontop, no matter what, even if your pretty sure your gona loose, give it a go, whats the worst ? your gona be at thier mercy anyway? shit you should of learned that in school, let alone else aye? im not the biggest boy and havent once copped shit once for driving a line bar my mates for its stockishness and my family for buying a 2 door. Where bouts do you cop shit for driving a line? perhaps after you hang the arse out in traffic ? or maybe in a packed roundabout like some f**ktard p plater in an old white commo this arvo. This genious was over 2 lanes, forgot its a heavy arse pig an on the backswing from overcorrecting after shitting himself he wipes out the give way sign on hte island to my right in MY entrance. the smart c**t pulled over and was wondering what went wrong. ok i admit slapping him upside the back of the head (open handed) was not the best idea, but he saw me comeing and was expecting a full blown hit, cringeing cuint. yes im pissed off, I WISH I'd taken the club lock with me an made hgim feel some pain $$$ wise with a fat dent DUMB f**kER scared the shit outa me, cant f**king move, dont know to jump forward into the roundabout (the only way i could have moved) cuase he doesnt even know which way his going. I had my misses, my sister and my f**king uncles kid in the car, if he had goten traction and went stragith wed be fuicked... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! f**k i want to break something

daylight pic's come with some decent rims, else she looks like a noice an clean garaged white s2 that i waittted SOOoooo long for, found and happy, ... what could top it, christinin the car with the misses anal virginity, wheels spinin and some phunky beats pouring from my system while tokin a J, blowing, passing out and waking up to a beer with a savage steak dinner served by that same woman in high heels, that mail order britney outfit and my line nice and safe in the garage. wet dreams anyone? or winning monarco F1 in a mclaren F1 with a 2.37 avg lap time and a fastest of 2.02... that might come close eh -
sweet, yea start with the driver training, then on a track, CHEERS dude !! goulbournes a bit far from the blacktownish area aye, anything closer thats stil affordable? mostly want a place to get to know how the line handles at decent speed without risk of hurting myself or someone else AND not dropping my car in the mix I drive like a gran with an addiction for some old school gabba, terrorcore etc, some breaks, speed garage, hipidy op and rnb, depending if the misses is in hte car eh, cept for the odd burst out the back of richmonde near a mates place, love showing up th 05 malloo, admitedly he cant drive worth a damm, the ol man's gt owned him but my line.... well, we shall see over the next week, soon as we can both get onto ec for a straight line punt, think i might get my azz zhanded to me and catch shit until I drop some $$$ on the exhuast and if i can get someone to do it right an FMIC with front mounting plenum, seen way to many shity jobs on fmics, particularly the plumbing and f**kloads of rust in the old pipe locations, have to give those a fress spray when i move the gear out. hmmm, might just look up a gtt smic instead, heard they are a big improvement flo-wise, im not gona run more an 10-11psi anyways, fun but daily fun !!, adjust my suspension, get some decent sway bars, put in the bloody stolen strut braces and should have some cornering fun with enough kick to pull out of it to, test how effective this active lsd is, so far its great, comeing in slow on a round about hiting the apex and boosting out 2nd to 60 has been pretty straight and trustable with stock rims and prolly shity rubber.

K might be a really stupid question but any1 know how to remove the rear seats on a R33 s2? Trying to install the rear speakers and the bf reckons you gotta remove the seats the the board the speakers sit in to install em. Is he right or is there an easier way to install the speakers (plus we also wanna find the source of the clanking sound we can hear in the cabin)? Just another question too, anyone ever defected for installing non-standard speaker in the rear, coz u know how the child restraints supposed to be in at all times etc etc? Anyhoo, any help is appreciated (sorry posted under bf's login, oops )

the reason im asking is, im no race driver and i want to get into track days, I've finaly goten wheels i "could" take to a track soonish, I know im not gona set records but for fun etc, anyways, its my daily and i cant afford to bounce of walls so i want to start @ the bottom peg, which way aye? used to bang on in a sl - lx tory engineered 308 in it, from when i was 12 to when i was like a week short of my 17th birthday on dirt tracks and my grandparrents farm etc, anyways plenty of off road banging and some concrete tracks but not for a few years. now i've started of on the line, and got something that can turn a corner, well its given me some ideas, and i want to check it out. does insurance cover track use? i wouldnt expect so... so its all on me ? loosing my car isnt really an option.

got that !! k heres a coupla picks, S2, 97, $60 showing on hte clock, bone stock bar a 2-2.5" cat back with aftermarket muffler and screamer and tick EVERY option on the list... from the rear windscreen wiper to the light surround on hte ignition to the green shade foot lights to the active LSD and abs, BUIT !! throw in a quick shift kit and a shity double din system and you've got my newly imported second hander... schweet ride. got my comprehensive via the man boosted >> GIVE THIS GUY A STICKY AD !! 12 months rego and boom, WHEELS !! just gota get me some rims, swap out my system, some 6x9's and start saving for some power !! though after driving a boat for the last 8-9 months im enjoying the ride for what she is !!

K I was thinking last nite, if we put the deposit down and get an inspection after and find there stuff wrong with it, is the seller obliged to fix it since they are giving 3 months warranty on the car? If they don't can we still take our deposit back? Sorry might sound really stupid, it' s just this is our first time buying a second hand car and we trying to avoid a much as possible not to get screwed. So if you guys have any input, we would welcome them!

no thanx mate, thats a fair few k over what we paying aye, refine the question a little if water got in the exhuast, and came up from the tail..... i doubt that would get to the dump let alone further, how far would it have had to get to cuase white smoke? how could it get in there that far without comeing from the head? i mean the car's just been started? i've seen this before and it ended up being explained that a fuel linkage was f**ked, but that was another car, so... similar thing? how does a fuel linkage cuase white smoke and condensation unless it was the fuel itself ... which is bloody unlikely considering how well water burns @ atmoisation... this thing didnt miss a beat @ top end hicas light not come on @ ignition, proly puled the globe or something else f**ked, either way $$$, so il have to find that one later, if hicas is malfunctioning does it lock in centre position? cuase the car felt like it was going straight, under load, rolling etc active lsd, abs etc S2, nice car besides the glue on the interior under the carpet of the boot, compliancer is saying hte gb has a quick shifter in it, the gb was very precise, very strong, not quite like helical cut gears but real strong feeling... dunno never felt a quick shifter that changed the feel of the hole gb like that... so thinking theres more to it, like recent rebuild maybe no signs of removed mods noticed, all head studs there, couldnt get under the car properly but didnt see anything missing off the exhuast manifold either, looks ok interior sweet a few small scratches on the exterior plastics, nothing a bufff couldnt get and 1 extremely mionr riple in the rear left quater the mech reckoned he'd get fixed... il go in for another closer look and get him to chuck it on the hoist and post more after, would have done before hand had to wiat for his wife to call me back to tell me they agreed on the price, might be in a choice line soon just have to sort out hte comp shannons insurnace and im set f**kin A

im 23, for one, i dont plan on having an accident, but nobody does, i guess what im trying to say is, i have been driving since i was 13, thats 10 years without an accident, grew up with a SL-lx 308 tory modded with mates + families help, in otherwords i scrounge up the parts by working etc and they help me put them on or swap them out, trying to learn on the way but didnt pick up a hole lot on the fidly bits. hell good chunks are missing short of building a car, anyways, i drove that thing everywhere, on an off road, tracks mostly. i can handle myself behind a wheel, (explicitly not saying i can drive but i can handle MYSELF !!) ie keep it off the roads. "tune the nut behind the wheel first bla bla bla" i've loaded the link and am reading, believe me when i say i would certainly rather get comprehensive but even for someone without a single claim or accident the insurance price i get from just car which is the cheapest so far, is plainly out of reach for a 25t let alone a R, cheapest i could get for a 33T was 2400 and for a 32R was 2800, then add rego ontop of first year car purchase and im scrrewed third party fire and theft believe me i didnt want to buy a car over 10k but there is sweet FA that is anything like i would enjoy, -
i've been looking for a while, seriously pushing for the last 6 months, essentially i've wasted crap loads of time looking for a decen 33 25t ever one i find seems ok until i have the inspection and has ended up with problems i would have to end up spending in the 3-4k mark after purchase at first i was looking into importing but after reading crap loads of horror stoires and importing problems i decided against it as with my luck i could very likely end up buying a car i would either have to export or spend big dollars on anyways i started out looking @ 32r's but decided against them for 2 reasons, 1, couldnt afford to insure one comprehensively, 2, if it had a major problem i wouldnt have a car for months cause i would need to spend big $$$ to rep it so 33t's was the go, looking locally i've spent $$ on 3 inspections to find 3k in damage on ea, p.s. im no mechanic so now after spending $$$ getting no where fast Im bac to wondering if the 32r with 3rd party an theft is the way considering i was going to third party the 33t anyway how long abouts before i have to spend money on replacement parts on a 32r i import? besides good maintanence, IE pretty much part of compliance + timming belt anyway? considering how many k's these cars have done after importing your r's how long till you had to spend cash, like over 1k, (not including mods) and orc's kind of lost and frustrated

funkymonkey not to push you or expect you to go out of your way or anything dude, i appreciate you doing it the first time mechanical inspection comes out great on this car but the scrapes and scratches and a little hail damage.... argh... so long to find lol ow my other car is out of rego and I have to buy something .... spuen well it sounds worse than it is, even with ugly bench of a wing on it, still awsome car and not to shity pricing

myth: i can search busted: i cant search for shit, i musted typed in like 3 or 4 searches and i did get hits but nothing useful, i got 2 of those threads, maybe i didnt read em well enough cuase from what i could tell they werent EXACTLY the same, though the first thread sort of gets the same response with a shitty question under high load leaning out up top it blows white smoke for like 5-6 seconds, stock bar a pod and tip, basically nothing cept intake growl and it went harder than most on cat back exhuast with pod and boost controller uping to 12ish psi, it wasx ecu controlled with literally no mods, suspect now head gasket is f**ked and think its well worth leaving alone
