  1. is there any pipe coming off the back of the turbo that heads down towards the cat then just stops and vents to atmosphere?
  2. The HKS pods go pretty big. mine is 4 inches.
  3. the cooler inlet will (probably) be bigger than the turbo outlet so it will have to be varying size anyway. then if the cooler outlet and throttle are the same, go that size. otherwise vary it again.

  6. im guessing here, but i would have thought that the pressure would push it through anyway. thats assuming that the holes are a decent size, not tiny. ive been wanting to cover my holes with mesh since i got my car. it looks a lot neater and it makes it harder for cops to spot the cooler. plus i want to spray it black.

  11. ive seen a few pcitures of the kits getting around, and it seems as if when the doors are fully up there isnt much room to get in. you have to kind of limbo under to get in
  12. i spoke to an engineer when i first got my car, and he said that you cant get modified cars engineered (without a very expensive process). only engine swaps and things like that can be done easily. this is not my opinion, just what i was told by an engineer.

  14. gday. welcome to my thread. im in melbourne also. the car is sold as is. BUT im sure we could work something out. apart from rear tyres and turbo/wastegate setup, it should be rw. i think the manifold is HKS, cause it seems to be a complete kit and its the same as pictures on the net. but it doesnt say HKS anywhere. it is stainless steel, and its just had some cracks welded up and the plate trued. and wrapped in exhaust wrap. peace out
  15. if you have a bigger turbo that needs an ext gate, then you have to buy a new manifold. and manifolds cost heaps!

    theres is actually 3 apexi turbos sizes between the p21 and trusts T517. and the t517 is rated the same as the 2835.

    depends which one you are talking about. there is a AX53B70 P21 (which SLYSX is talking about) rated at 320ps, which is actually the same as a HKS 2530. then there is 2 different AX53B70 P28 turbos. one at 650ps, 30ps more than a HKS 3540. the other is 690ps, slightly bigger than a Trust T78-29G and a tiny bit less than a HKS To4R. so ones small and the others are very big. im assuming your talking about the 320ps one. if so that would be very streetable and respond pretty similar to stock turbo.

  20. thats ironic, cause pretty much the only reason i dont like the S1 is cause of the front bar. i think its even got to the stage where i see a stock S1 and cringe at the sight of its front end. as for the wings, i dont really mind the S1 wing cause its more subtle.
  21. speaking of tyres. those middle ones would wear out ten times faster than the others cause as soon as you turn those babies will be sliding sideways. a good example of a stupid american hick who is the richest guy in his shit town, and therefore has to show it to everyone.
  22. farken oath it is! even worse when you have to wait 2.5 months for a compliance plate! and the car is just sitting in the drive way begging you to drive it.
