    and with the registration. when mine went through vicroads, the guy actually put his hand on the big top mount turbo when looking for the engine number. so he had no idea what he was looking for. compliance and rego is fine. its the tmu that you have to worry about.

    i did understand you. what im saying is that the engineers pass pretty much everything. most things on my car are illegal. compar your car passing with a bc, to my car getting passed with all the sh1t on it. moral: just because it passes compliance doesnt make it legal, or any grounds to argue its legality.

    i got my tinted at the group buy. cost me $180 and didnt have to pay to remove the existing tint. mines the 35%, and i cant understand why you would want darker. the stuff on there originally was so dark that i couldnt see a thing when i reversed at night. so i would say forget about the 20% stuff.

    i have always been told that after market wheels can only be 1 inch higher and wider. also if they wanted to be fussy, and if they knew what they were talking about they could get you for the cooler too.

    that doesnt mean anything. compliance engineers will pass pretty much anything. my car was done with big top mount turbo, let alone a small thing like a boost controller.

    RWC comes down to searching around and finding someone that will do it. when i find a buyer, then we'll just have to work together to find someone. but it can be done the powerfc does not come in the car. that is a seperate sale. i was planning a pretty conservative tune and would be happy with anything between 230-250 rwkw. but obviously the turbo is good for more than that.

    does the turbo piping split and go through both of the twin entry cooler or is it just going through the bottom half?

    after you buy it you transfer the money to the auction house in japan. i guess with the 89 cars they sit in storage until they are ready to ship. then when it arrives you pay the shipping and tax, etc. i personally picked up my car, so i guess the 15 year cars are the same. with the new system for <15 year cars though i think the importers have to pick it up.

    whether or not the 34 becomes common depends on the Governments attitude. either way, it wont be like 33s because heaps of them were imported under the old rules. so in general there will be fewer grey imports across the board in the future

    someonestolecc:before my car arrived i got a quote from just cars at 6900, then a few months later when it was registered it was around 3300. and that was for a 20yr old male with no insurance record.

    i saw some farkwit with an older daewoo (i think) with the GT badges in the same spot as a skyline. AND he had this stick on thing that was supposed to look like twin exhaust coming out of the back left door (race car style). but rather than coming from under the car it was in the bottom corner of the door, so it made it look even more stupid. if that is possible.

    i did too. its a good point about having to pay then wait and fark around with it. i guess that i just dont like to read when people advertise an 89 gtr as being really cheap at 26-28k, when the post below it is a 94 gtr for similar price.

    all i know is that on prestige website it seems that 26k at the top end of the market for 89 cars and thats the modified ones. by the sounds of your cars, i would say that your wanting to make a 5 grand profit off each car, which is a big deal when its 1/5 of the price.

    just import it yourself if you really want one. no point paying an inflated price to someone else.
