what do you mean legalities? i was under the impression that if you had a microtech and a cop or epa saw it your farked. on the other hand the plug n play ones can come straight out.

what happened to the volks. thought you had pretty much bought them. unless those enkeis are for gtr, you will probably need spacers to fill the fronts, and to do that properly costs about 130 each!

that car on 2f2f isnt really a 9 second car. maybe if you put in a 4 litre straight 6. actually i reckon its so show that even my beast could give it a run for its money. performance and looks.

hey whats wrong with neons? ive got greens ones under my car, one on the rear parcel shelf and one lighting up the "skyline" at the back. i reckon it looks sweet, and i get heaps of attention from people, especially when i drive it down chapel and around dandy.

just take it out and see what it sounds like. ive been looking for an exhaust for a while and i went and listened to one that had no resonator. it was still farken quite though cause he had std turbo and dump and 2.5 cat, plus the volume of the muffler was quite big. do if your car matches this description, or is close then it should be alright. but just give it a go and see what happens.

from the engine it goes cat, resonator, muffler. they all have different sizes and shapes between factory, and high flow. the bigger the volume inside the resonator/muffler the quiter it is. 3 options: normal "oval" shape and straight through. normal will have the in and out pipes not lined up, this is the quitest but least flowing. or they will line up but will be detoured inside the muffler. straight has the pipes lines up for increased flow and performance and also smaller volumes for louder sound and i assume increased performance.

hay inark, if you chop your resonator out then i might just have to buy it. maybe we can do a swap, cause i have a smaller resonator kinda like what boo5t posted and i need one like yours. too easy.

have you seen the rims on the car for sale on here as rb25 r32? it has white dished 17s. look sweet but i cant get him to answer what brand they are. i reckon that the drift rs would look very similar to them if they were white

probably even faster than that cause the exhaust housing is relatively small so its gonna spool up quicker with less top end than what a drag car would.

so what did you bargain him down to?

some resonators are straight through and look like a bulge in the pipe, kinda same shape as your muffler. others are more like a stock muffler that has the pipe come in on one side of the oval shaped muffler and comes out the back from the centre. this non-straight through muffler cuts down noise because it forces the gases to flow around in the muffler before exit rather than just go straight through. hence the term "straight through muffler"

i was comparing them to the work meisters and nismo rims. Buddy clubs arent worth anywhere near that. maybe in 21s even if i could afford them i dont know if i would go for the big brands. model 5s have been my favourite from the second i saw them, so... i bought some hijoin copies cause of the all the copies around i thought they were the closest. plus it was good that they were the cheapest avs model 5s :whackit:

i find that most of the jap wheels that i see are farken ugly, especially when they are black or blue, etc. for example i would never even consider putting on nismo lmgt1s, for the example i gave above plus they are down right fugly. sweet jap rims are avs model 5, 6 and kreuzer, r34 gtr, buddy club p1 racing, volk te37. but like tony said it comes down to the individual. if you like the rims, buy them.
