This is how we do it in Sweden!
aybee replied to Skyracer [SE]'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
the chick on the left looks the goods. the one on the right looks about 10 gazillion feet tall! look at the height of her legs compared to the car (and the other chick) -
i think no.4 looks the best. plus you would never see another skyline around with the same colour. yeah you must change the wheels. but even more importantly change the front bar. get something less in your face and that compliments the flows of the 32. then the car will look really tough. oh and dont bother getting 19s. 18s still look big on 32s plus they are not so stupidly priced.

SWB Patrol/Maverick, jacked up with big tyres
-
if i had heaps of cash i would probably do something like this. but i would stop at lowering it and huge wheels. No clear tail lights or stupid plates for me. all you 4wd haters wont like my plan for my next car: ford bronco jacked up about 6 inches with minimum 34inch tyres!
-
thats cool. ill lower the price to 1200. and people can save themselves the wait cause its in melbourne now and ready to go.

put it in the back of a vw kombi!

couldn't be arsed reading this whole thread so these might have been mentioned... - People driving with their rear fog lights on (looks especially shit on hyundais cause they only have one) - The silver stickers that flash green, red, blue, etc in the sun. usually on the back windscreens on fully sick holdens. reminds me of the sh1t i used to cover my books when i was in primary school. plus you cant even read them. - Fully sick cars (usually imports) with custom kit and paint, but has ugly little 16s that dont fill out the flared gaurds.
-
the vertex kits look sweet, as long as you have/get wheels to fill out the 'lip' along the sides. nothing worse than a sweet kit with shit wheels!!!
-
so what do all you braniac know-it-all's, who havent actually imported one of these themselves, think this is worth?
-
i sent a catback exhaust from melb to perth for only $50. was through Simon National (or something like that)

yes there has been a lot of speculation about power fcs for rb20s... and yes certain prices are listed on certain websites... but im yet to here from anyone who has bought one of these that it was actually as easy as everyone makes out. i know how much i paid, and i know how long i waited. they are the only known facts on this issue. i dont care if im proven wrong, but i dont want to hear about what people have heard, or think they can do, or are gonna do in a few months, or whatever.

ive got a second hand Power FC for the RB20DET. It is in very good to excellent condition, in its original box with instructions, etc. (in Jap). This does not include the hand controller. In Melbourne $1200 0407 344 555

i had one on my 32. sat straight and didnt have much of a bend before the muffler, but might be different for you. it was actually 3.25 inches, and i took it off and sold it cause it was too loud. it gave me a headache after 5 mins and was 100dB with the silencer IN! but i havent heard anyone say that it is loud. ive got a hks super dragger, which is known to have excellent flow but it is very quiet. sorry i tried to upload more pics but theyre too big and i couldnt be arsed changing them.

premiums on 200s (according to a mate at AAMI, and many others here) is more than a skyline and wrx. although the excesses are cheaper. i would presonally rather a car with lower premiums. i always thought i would get an s14 for my next car cause i assumed inusrance would be less....
-
why dont you try and buy one through them and then tell me how easy and quick it is. also by the time the thing arives it will end up costing well more than 1200. when i was originally looking for this an importer quoted me 1800 to my door. being second hand doesnt matter cause there arent many of these in the country, new or used. im not being tight, im just asking for what i paid. your offerring the kind of money that a used 33 unit goes for. i think thats being tight considering the supply of them going around. it costs more cause they are rare and its in the country now.
-
funny that you mention charter keck cause im a property student at melb uni and work with them over the winter break. i worked in the strategic research unit. im also in a mentor program with scott keck and spend a day at the office once or twice a month. your right, its the place to go for advice. for people that have some cash to invest but dont wont to borrow, you can invest in property syndicates. i dont know what the management fees are like, but they usually return around 9%. might be worth a look cause its very easy to get in over your head.

no possible way it could be a slipping clutch. if it were to slip ar 5000 revs then the revs would then jump to redline very quickly without the car going any faster.
-
ok, well this price has not been simply picked out of the air. it reflects the price that i paid for it, and the fact that i waited 6 months for it to arrive. i thought it only logical that given the low supply i could get a few hundy more than what i paid. anywho, i paid $1400 for this unit and im not going to loose money on this. you can have the unit for that price.
-
go no wing! as someone has said it makes the back of the car look fatter. and by not putting in the stealth wing it doesnt look like a 4 door. plus there arent too many around with no wing. i thought it would look shit with the step down, but it looks good!
-
maybe so but thats very different to walking to corner store to pick one up. they have to find it then send it. meanwhile you wait for it to be found, then pay for shipping, then wait for it to arrive. at this price you are paying for the fact that it is in the country right now ready to go.
-
it might sound easy to get one of these through nengun, but they still have to source one (which isnt easy), then you have to pay shipping and might get stung for duty. overall the wait might be a long time. as i said, i ordered this through an importer and it took 6 months to find. these are rarer than all other powerfcs (especially in Aus) so you cant expect to get one for the same price as for other cars. i paid much more than 800 for this so im not willing to sell at that price. how about an offer that reflects the availability of this computer??
-
for rb20? these are very hard to find! took 6 months to get this.

R32 2 Door Sedan!! what ya think??
aybee replied to BenA31's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
yeah i cant believe your thinking? wouldnt it be easier to that glass on the outside of the b-pillar thing on a coupe. would look almost identical to the 2nd pic except with slightly longer doors (which most people probably wouldnt notice the differences in lengths anyway). i like the pillar-less look
