  1. thats a good plan, cause i now think that theres more time after my footy game than before so better to rock up afterwards rather than rush it before.
  2. actually it is cheaper to send by container but it takes a little bit longer.
  3. first public outing is at the tint-a-car day.
  4. All lies!!! i just remebered ive gotta play footy which will be about 10 or 11 so will have to go first or second. hope thats cool. would prefer second but dont going at 8.30 if i have to. cheers
  5. yeah was bought at osaka. i had it moved to go in container but bank lost my contract so it took for ever to pay and the next container ship would have arrived too late so it had to come by car ship. i just realised that they tried to steal the steering wheel too, two of the bolts are missing which i assumed they always were, but they are in the pics from japan. already complied, problem is rwc and rego, epa should be fine they are easily fooled.
  6. i heard that before but hoped that it was just for someones particular coverage they organised. i think thats rediculous, especially considering i work nights until 1.30 or 2 in the morning. it seems almost no point. i guess thats why they are cheap. can you get insurance twice. like famous for full comp then just cars for 3rd party for when you drive at night? that would be good
  7. thats not just a wide body kit... its a f*cken massively wide body kit.
  8. ive done the jim murcott defensive driving course and it was great to see how much you improve over the day. BUT... if think that if i did that again right now i would be back at square one and would take the whole day to pick it up again. my point is that these skilla are only valuable if they are practiced all the time, like everything you do in life you cant just do it once and expect to do it again whenever you have that 1/4 of second to think about it. good for insurance purposes and keeping parents happy, but in the long run it doesnt make a difference to you driving skills. peace out
  9. somehow, i have a feeling that he already bought one. i dont know... maybe it just me...
  10. thats the thread i was talking about. someone brought up the conract where it says something about it being an oversees company and cannot trade here but they get around that because they are an undewriting company, then how can they actual insure cars? confusion setting in... cooks44, how long have you been with famous? have you made a claim? what are you experiences?
  11. that kit on the attachment is veeeerrrrry wide... good luck
  12. theres gotta be plenty of wrecked cars or halfcuts out there with that piece. and im sure the owner would be more than willing to make another few dollars!
  13. dont even get me started on the hassles! and its all cause of NAB and their incompetance. i told my dad that i would sue them if it didnt get processed in time (old system) and he said that he would back me up. imagine that...
  14. you sure? cause just cars is backed by aami

  18. theres a few people selling pieces from 33s in the for sale section, ask them
  19. got a quote today from Famous, 2020 for a 21 year old male driving a modded 92 r32 gtst at a value of 16,000 (even though im paying 12,500 plus on roads) with an excess of 1000 plus age excess of 500. they cover everything including personal belongings inside the car. compared to Just Cars who quoted 6300 with a total excess on 2150 and they only cover the amount that i payed minus the import tax, which was decided was 10,000. so if my car is stolen i have to pay 2150 after paying 6300, which is 8450 then they give me my 10,000 so im one car down and only get 1550 from Just Cars, once the other costs are deducted. no one in there right mind would get this insurance, and their 3rd party f+t only covers up to 4000 so after youve payed the premium and the excess your a car down and 1200 from them. this is rediculus! who are the suckers that are insuring through them?!?!?!?! HOW ARE THEY MAKING ANY MONEY????????????????
  20. if you want to go to the dark side then head towards the blue oval! the other guys, forgotten their name, are crap in every way.
  21. after reading this i called up for a quote and it was 2020 for a 21 male on a modified 92 r32 gtst for full comp. compared to just cars who quoted 6300. the thing is though that they didnt ask for my postcode and didnt want to know anything about my mods. they seem to deem fast cars as only twin turbos and the singles are not. plus when i told them that i have had 2 speeding fines that it wasnt a problem and that everyone has had at least one or two. all these things are creating a kind of tuna-like smell that seems to be coming from the application sheet that they faxed me. someone please clear this up cause its a sweet deal and i really want to take it up.
