Long story... but the car was moved from osaka to kobe for container ship but then ****en NAB (refer to my "dont borrow from NAB" thread in here) took too long and i had to change it to a car ship and the buyer couldnt get back to it to be able to take the stuff out. one good thing about the theiving wharfies is that they dont take stuff that will affect you driving it. eg, they left the boost gauge which was on the same mount as the tacho, plus left the turbo timer, boost controller and vpc.

i picked up my car yesterday, filled it up and drove 40ks to compliance and had already gone through 1/4 tank. now thats bad! plus it wasnt even boosting up properly

i think that you should pay someone to take that wing off you :shake: almost the same deal for the rims too

when i picked it up the fuel light was on, probably the only reason why they stopped driving it. no it didnt have insurance cause geoff told me that you cant get it far car carrying ship. plus i think that it only covers loss of vehicle, sinking etc. yeah it does suck about the gauges, not that i wanted the tacho but i would have liked to at least tried the shift lite before i pulled it out. looks like the beast will be going to get tinted with the group deal, unless ive missed it already.

is that what 32gtr wheels are worth? im selling mine and i didnt know they were worth that much. i dont want to be ripping myself off. i thought that nengun or someone like that were selling them for 650 so i based my price on that. please tell me what they are worth. cheers

I picked up my car today from the wharf. i was very excited but i knew that some stuff would be stolen. these are the things that were taken: monster tacho with shift light. razo pedals front fog lights when taking the tacho they even pulled out all the wiring that went into the dash so now i have a nice hole next to my steering wheel. also the car had done 10ks since being cleared off the boat. i know it gets driven a little bit but 10ks is going to be a sh*t load of laps of that place! i know that these are insignificant things but still they were mine and its just annoying. on another note the car is running VERY rich and went through 1/4 tank in about 40ks. its also not very quick and there is something wrong when it hits boost. but these things will be fixed after i get it back from compliance. was origanally going to change the trust front bar back to standard so that i can lower it more, but the exhaust is sitting really low to the ground so there goes that plan. hopefully ill be out and about soon...

i cant say that i miss driving my car cause im picking it up for the first time tomorrow morning. very excited cause it has been about 2 months since i bought the car (trouble with the bank). the only problem is that i have to take it straight to compiance so wont see it for another few days. also, it couldnt be any worse timing cause if it wasnt for easter i could have picked it up on thursday and had it complied by tomorrow. first time in my life that i havent wanted a long weekend.

How do the jaycar amps compare to the audioline amps? i just wanna power a sub and i think that audioline is cheaper.

not too bad at all... loose the rear wing though, might take off with that if you go too fast

from what i know and have heard, its really hard to find anything on the internet. if you want to buy a car at jap auction then you gotta go through an importer like geoff risbey. i went through him and was sent between 7 and 23 cars per day, and i was only looking at 180s and 32s. the only way that he knows about the cars is that he has buyers in japan taking photos and sending them to him with the cars details.

very true, they think that they can stop people from modifying cars but its never going to happen. we cant stop what we are doing just cause a cop says so, weve just gotta be one step ahead of them all the time, and i think that this forum could become the perfect tool for that.

im in the same boat... i wanna modify a standard bar to fit a fmic. first though i have to find a standard bar. ive seen a few cars with modded std bars that have had the opening extended all the way up to the top of the cooler. looks quite good. i saw one on meggalas site. good lcuk with it all

Question: if they agree to cover a modified car but will only replace standard parts, then will they cover a clutch that otherwise might have been fine if it wasnt for the extra power? obviously same goes for the rest of the driveline... was interested when i first saw it, but i dont know if it will be worth it for me.

anything 5 spoke for a 32, next best is six spoke. i reckon the best is simple, dont get "busy" rims
