    what? so are you saying that it should make much more than 250rwkw? or around 230. cause i said that it would be good for "mid 200's" meaning around 240-260rwkw. But thats whay ive always thought my car would be good for and its slightly more powerful than the std 2835 (420ps compared to 380ps)

    the idea of it is that it gets better air flow so it couldnt by its very nature suffer from heat soak.

    thats not a problem. just shows that the car hasnt been driven for a while. happens to all cars that sit around. its good to get a car with that low ks but i dunno about 40,000. maybe if the ks were that low on a 93 or 94 but not an 89... .

    with the right shit and some good boost, it would get around mid 200's rwkw. ive got the R version of the 2835 on my rb20 and im getting almost 200rwkw without a proper tune. although i have got all the shit to back it up.

    they would run well for a while, but that doesnt mean it there is no long term effect. VL engines are old technology. if bovs werent needed then they wouldnt have put them on new cars.

    There is a curve piece that you put between the front bar opening and the cooler. so that the air going through the front bar gets directed up through the cooler then out through the vented bonnet. would actually have better flow than fmic because theres nothing behind it blocking the air. also for shorter piping too.

    the difference in wheel size may affect it though. cause when you put 245s over 9 inch wheels they will stretch more than on 8 inch. The more stretched, the less upright the sidewalls so the rolling diameter will be less. or may be less. just a thought. can anyone clarify...

    Thanks for the confidence boost Chris. There's plenty of people around who appreciate the car, but no-one wants to buy it. Dont really understand why someone wouldnt want to pay a few thousand over a mildly modded 32 to get all these extras. Turbo alone is around $5000 to replace. Big Bump. $19,500 otherwise im taking all the shit off and selling it as a NA .

    Yeah thats true. but the whole idea is that its pretty hard to get the rolling diameters accurate enough to not piss off the car. so unless you want to fark around, just take the proven route and match the wheels front and back.

    alright i take it back about the insurance on s14 comments. just spoke to a friend that works at aami and he said that insurance on a s14 is a few hundy more than on his wrx. but the exesses are about half the price. i think its the excesses that are the killer. especially when you pay pst excess, then theft excess, then age excess (as an example) it can add up to more than the cost of the insurance.

    screamer means that you cant hit boost around other cars/people without everyone knowing for about a 2km radius. it is a bit of fun, but i was always planning on plumbing mine back to the exhaust. oh and i dont think it would be that far away from the pain threshold

    yeah, cause the pod is 4inches in diameter it isnt a straight fit on to the afm. so the adapter joins them. people who have looked inside a hks pod (mushroom style) will have noticed that there is a bell mouth with a taper. well, the adpater piece continues the taper. therefore there is a consistent taper from the mouth of the pod down to the afm. oh and the price is still 350. afm alone is worth that.
