the car is an automatic unfortinatly lol but it only does it when im taking off or going slow and then accelerate hard, if i really accelerate hard where the turbo kicks it its very very loud, but on the highway sitting on the speed limit there is no noise and its nice and quiet
-
its only when its driven, no noise at idle or rev
-
thankyou so much for your help, yeah it will just be to the end of my street and back, i live in ballarat so the car is very cold right now and so am i hahaha and yeah im hopeing it goes away after i remove this last belt cos i did think about the cam belt or tensioner and i know i do need to get this done soon anyways cos the car has done just over 100,000kms so timing belt is due for a new one
-
i did put new belts on it cos i thought it was just a belt at first cos it does sound like a squeel when i gun it hard
-
hey im having a weird noise which sounds like a chook chook chook noise when i accelerate from a slow speed, the harder i accelerate the lounder the noise, i have removed the aircon and tge power steering belt and the noise is still there so i know its not them and i have felt the alternator and water pump pulleys and they seem ok, the alternator spins but makes a slight noise and i assume tgats normal cos its turning a generatir in it and the water pump spins ok as well but i carnt soin it as fast as the car can so i carnt be certain its not one of them making the noise, now the only way i can be certain is to remove that last belt and drive it for a minute to test it but im worried about driving it without circulating water running through the engine, does anyone know if it will ne safe for a quick drive to see if tge noise is gone

hey the original nissan belts on my r33 are ALT 4pk850 AC 4pk910 PS 3pk845 but while looking for a replacement set on ebay it has slightly different ones that are a lil longer by 5 to 10mm ALT 4pk855 AC 4pk915 PS 3pk855 and it seems that most people that are selling Bosch sets are saying these part numbers as well so im wondering why different sellers are all saying these are for my car when my original ones are different, is it that bosch ones are a lil smaller than they say they are, or that the nissan ones are a lil bigger than they say they are or is it that its better to get slightly bigger ones for some reason, im confused and i know its only slight size differences but its very confusing still

today i received my copy of Conzult and the cable from ebay that i have been waiting for ages for and i went to install it and it says Conzult-Z32 arghhh it looks like it wont work on my R33, after a bit of research it looks like i needed Conzult SX instead so i hope someone can learn from my mistake and know that there are actually 2 versions of it, so now i have a good cable and a full version of conzult that is absolutly useless to me. This sucks lol lucky i didnt spend too much on it

ok i was looking through my collection of skyline information that i have collected over the last 8 years or so and i have saved this stuff from all over the net and some of the stuff i still have saved isnt even on the net anymore and i bet there are others like me who have collections of hard to find stuff like factory removal instructions for interior parts or wiring diagrams for example so lets share this stuff with eachother and post anything that is helpful cos it could really help others, i take no credit for anything i share cos it was all from other people, if i post something that is yours and you want me to remove it or to credit you by putting your name or website beside the pic just msg me...

3" Stainless Screamer/front Pipe Rb25Det
Mick replied to Mick's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
yeah i wish i thought of that before melting the aircon hose, but yeah this is a very well made pipe. for those who dont know the screamer pipe makes alot of noise when your wastegate opens up but you can keep it quiet by slowly accelerating through the streets, -

i advertised to swap ages ago when it was on the car but anyways its off the car now and i wana try swap it for one where the wastegate pipe joins back into the front pipe or just a normal 3" front/dump pipe, it can be a single 2 in 1 pipe or 2 seperate front and dump pipes, the reason i wana swap it is cos the wastegate pipe was too close to the insulated aircon hose and melted it, i guess i was supposed to have put something between them or something. Does anyone have one of those hoses at all, its from an r33 gtst and its the silver insulated aircon hose going from the firewall to the aircon. AM Performance have one similar selling for $390 so its a pretty good pipe, you can see from the pics that it has a pipe that will totaly seperate the wastegate which is better than just dividers which some have instead. Im pretty sure it will fit an r33 and r32 gtst This is my one These are some examples of ones like i want, just a normal 3" front/dump pipe or one with the wategate pipe joining back in This is the aircon hose i need
