and can someone please do a continuity test between the red wire with blue stripe and the black wire on the tail light plug, just unplug the main tail light plug and check for continuity between the 2 wires for me .. with the ignition off ..

im working on a few more at the moment and an updated hicas drawing with just about every wire diagnosed and telling where they go ..

if your talking about the illumination of the climate control, then you have to take tha dash fascia off and remove the climate control unit, there are 2 globes, one on each side, there not a standard wedge globe either, you will need to take one down to dick smiths and get some the right size and then you will have to insert it into the plastic plug thingy and then put them back in the climate control unit ... its not hard, it just sounds a little confusing ..

I have lots of other other software that will work with it but i would still like a copy of the nissan datascan 1.3 software. I was wondering if you could be so kind as to amail me a copy of it My email address is [email protected] I will send you a cd will all of the saftware i have that works with it .. i even have software that will work with a pocket pc as well ... Could someone please help me, i recently brpought a Consult Interface from PLMS Developments but i forgot to get the Nissan Datascan v1.3 Software for is only small, about 1.3mb, even though i have quite a few other programs that will work i was wondering is some nice persom could please email me a copy of the Nissan Datascan v1.3 to me ... I would greatly apreciate it. My email address is [email protected] Thankyou so much ..

NO NO, if you just disconnect it im 99% sure the car will not run because when its installed the safc intercepts the airflow signal wire from the ecu (the wire is cut and the safc is joined in the middle) , so basicaly if the safc is unplugged the airflow signal wire isnt connected to the ecu. All you have to do is when you unplug the safc you have to rejoin the airflow wire back up at the ecu, its the orange wire with a blue stripe, the safc has a yellow wire and a white conecting to each side to the orange/blue wire, they are on little push connectors so simply unplug the white and yellow wires and connect the orange/blue wires back up to each other. or you could simply reset the safc settings back to default (so basicaly its turned off) and the car will run like normal but then you will loose your settings and have to get it re-tuned when you want it to work. Its very easy to unplug sacf and reconnect the orange/blue wire on the ecu.

OK here is 2 diagrams i just drew up, its the Boot Loom and the Boot Lid Loom. They are im WMF format whick is the best bacause you can zoom in without any loss of text quality. There will be more on the way soon, let me know what you think. Also if anyone has any interior wiring diagrams for the r33 or anything regarding the interior eg removal, either in english or japanese i would apreciate it.

Another way instead of using the cigar lighter is to pop the boot and unplug the white tail light plug and check for continuity on the red/blue stripe wire and the black wire.

i bet you would be prepared to download the drawings (that took me months to draw up on paper) when i do them thoe.. But i hope you find them useful, thats what being a member here is all about, sharing information and helping out fellow members.. cheers..

thats up to you, its a pricey bit of software isnt it ... Im downloading the full version at the moment, its a slow site though and ive only got a dialup .. So i should have it by the end of next week if i set it to download bits of it each night b4 i gota bed.. just would have been easier and quicker to get a copy off someone seeming it will benifit everyone with an r33.

some multimeters dont beep on continuity. But will display OL on the screen and when the probes are touched together the display will goto 000 to indicate continuity

Hey i have drawn up on paper wiring diagrams for the boot lid loom, the boot loom, and most parts of the interior for the r33 gtst, i have labeled the wire colours and where they go and what they do. I want to draw it up in autocad so i can post them on here bec it will be very handy for alot of people here. Does anyone have a copy of AutoCAD 2005 or 2004 etc that i can get a copy of so i can draw them up on the computer. I started to download the full version but its 369mb and ive only got a dialup connection .. If someone can help me out i would apreciate it

it doesnt sound like its been chipped so you should be able to put it into diagnostic mode. Mabe you should give your afm's a clean.

bingo ! Its the exhaust temp sensor, which is one of the warning lights in your dash (the one that looks like a catalic converter with wavey lines trough it) If you have an aftermarket cat installed you should get a threah tapped into it to fit the sensor back in it.

I would first put the ecu into diagnostic mode and see if you get any error codes. But my guess would be the o2 sensors being that is running so so rich.

thanks for that but i need to check for continuity not power .. u will have it on your multimeter, its the one that makes a beep when the 2 probes touch, i need to check if it beeps when the probes are touching the red/blue and the black wires .. check when the ignition is off.

im doing alot of rewiring in the car to make it neater and i found it strange that there was continuity between them

Hey i need a favor from someone that has an r33 and a multimeter. I need you to remove the gear stick surround and unplug the cigar lighter plug and the plug for the cigar lighter light and check to see if there is continuity between the light (red wire with blue stripe) and the black earth wire. This will only take a few minutes but i will realy apreciate it. Thankyou ..

If its the exact same one in the picture, and you have the 2 interchangable trumpets for it and it works fine its a done swap..
