anyone know anything about this, i went to bursons and he didnt have any the right shape but he could get some in but he doesnt know if they are the right size by kooking in his book, and online i see some with metal sleeves in both ends, i dont know if i buy them and remove one of the sleeves, some sites showed some with a sleeve in just one side like i need, but then i also need 2 that dont have any sleeves in them, i just want to know if the sleeves are removable, if no one knows i will have to remove one from my car and check myself

hey mate are you going to try buy and fit the tamiya gears onto your adjusters?
-
Hey i want to replace the old rubbers, but i do have a question about them, i know that 2 of them just have holes on each end where you push the rods through but the other 2 of them have 1 hole where you push the rod on the exhaust through and the other side hole has a bolt that goes through it and bolts to the chassis of the car, now from memory the end that has the bolts going through them have a metal sleeve through them and i am not sure if they are removable so i can put them into new rubbers that i buy or do i have to find rubbers that have a metal sleeve in 1 of the holes?

thanks to all for your replies, yes i think it said it was aap brand from tog racing or something like that, and it does state that it is made of much better materials than the original ones and that it will last longer as well, i have seen just those washer sets for $80 on there own so this kit it a bargain, i found it on ebay, seen a few the same and the cheapest was around $100 delivered

i found a full gasket kit that comes with the crush washers which cost a small fortune when you buy them singularly from nissan, anyways it has the main gaskets and the washers and the half moons and there is also a round oring which i am not sure about, i have had the covers off many times and im not familiar with where this goes

yep i sure am, i hope all members are like this, i really hope this helps the op out, looks like people have been doing this to there cars with the same type adjuster for years and since the gears are aluminium it should last forever

hey i have an r33 gtst series 2, i have tein hr coilovers on it at the moment but the misses is complaining how ruff the ride is so i need to go back to stock suspension, i just wana know if there is any difference in series 1 and 2 gtst stock suspension, and what about if the suspension is out if a non turbo r33. I just want a cheap set of non height adjustable stock or aftermarket coilovers that maybe have slightly lower springs on them, the main thing is it has to be smooth like the stock suspension is. So does anyone know of any differences that i need to know about when im looking to find a set, and does anyone here maybe have a set they wana get rid of. And while i am asking coilover questions i do have another question about the tein coilovers that i have in it now, they work perfect but one of them seems to be noisy but doesnt affect its performance though, its like i can hear it squishing up and down, and a front one is also doing it a little as well, there is no oil or anything coming out if them and they work perfect its just some have developed a noise, maybe it just simply needs a clean or service or lube in the right spot i dont know, but i would like your opinions cos i wont have any need dor them after i put a new set in so i will probably sell them or try swap them for a stock set

you can buy the Tamiya SP-602 set from just about any hobby shop or on ebay for a few dollars, you just have to make them fit and line up nice, i hope this helps you mate
-
just to make sure you know, you have to replace both the gears, the one in the adjuster and on the headlight, looks like they are aluminium so they will last forever mate
-
boom!!! i just found a little kit you can use to replace the plastic gears in the adjuster bit you have a photo of and the other bit on the headlight that it meshes up to, take a look at this page mate, they are replacing there plastic gears with them http://www.pexcom.com.au/z32cms/e107_images/H-L_Disassembly.pdf

hey i was doing some googling and i found something on a 300zx site that talks about some mod that you can hook upto the headlight that you can electronically adjust the headlight from inside the car, and it shows a pic of the same headlight adjuster that you are looking for https://aus300zx.com/xenforo/index.php?threads/headlight-adjusters.273864/

there is a guy on ebay that has a broken r32 projector headlight but he wants too much for it but it has the adjuster on it, he wants $49 and it says $20 for shipping, maybe get in contact with him

someone must have an old broken r32 headlight somewhere that has the 2 adjusters left on it still that are good

yeah thanks for that, i know how to remove the wiper i was talking about the rubber only, i actually worked out how to remove it, i think its called a frameless or boneless wiper, its just a rubber strip that you push into it, its not like a normal wiper, i wonder if anyone elses skylines have this rubber sleeve covered type of rear wiper
-
im just glad the car is perfect now and that i didnt do any permanent damage, please everyone dont learn the hard way like me
-
yeah i know it's disgraceful of me, i just kept topping up with new oil instead of dumping the lot
-
i have done lots of plastic repairs like that but i usually use plastic powder, usually i file a bit of the same type of plastic and use that powder
-
did you build it up slowly, like pack a little powder in the crack and then just a tiny drop of glue and let it seep in then a bit more powder then a bit more glue, till it builds up then file or sand or cut the access off to shape

hey i jumped onto ryco website and its not giving me the right part number for the auto trans filter kit, it only had 1 r33 thats 2.5l and it says rb25de but then it says the transmission is a 4n71b and i know that mine is a re4r01a, and i can find a kit that does that model but it says for an r31, anyways i was wondering if anyone knows if the ryco rtk32 is the right one for my r33 gtst. I assumed its right but the transgold had 2 different kits for the re4r01a that i know of so obviously there are slight differences in the re4r01a transmissions depending on what car they are from, the transgold auto filter kit is kfs245 but i want to know what the ryco kit is

Hey i have a set of tein hr coilovers on the car and the misses wants the car to be smooth again and these coilovers are ment for a track i think so you feel every bump, but i got them cos they were height adjustable but now its time to get some more smoother suspension back into it, so i am after stock suspension but preferably a set with slightly lowered springs on them, or an aftermarket set thats a bit lower than the stock ones, im not after height adjustable coilovers cos i know they are all very stiff. So does anyone have a cheap set of aftermarket or stock suspension they are selling that will fit my r33 gtst?
-
awesome thanks for the advice, thats exactly what i will do, I appreciate your reply
-
actually i am very very lucky, the car got quieter and quieter and now it sounds like a brand new engine, no lifter noise at all. Dont know what those small parts are but doesnt seem to be effecting the engine, the car hasnt run this good in years

ok so i have done alot of reading on this but im still a little inclear as some say yes and some say no, anyways my aircon hose was melted when i had a screamer pipe on it that was pressing up against it, i dont have the screamer pipe on it anymore and i fitted a replacement hose, so obviously i have no gas in the system at all anymore. I want to get it refilled but im unclear what type of gas to get it filled with, some say its r12 gas that it takes and that they dont use that gas anymore and that i am supposed to have the fittings changed to r134a fittings and that i am supposed to have the compressor modified to take the new type of gas, but then others are saying that it was a scam and that r134a can go straight in it without any modification to the compressor and that i just need to get an adaptor for the fill fitting. At the moment it has the stock pale green cap on the fitting. So my questions are: what gas is supposed to be in it, is it r12? do they still sell the r12? is r134a safe to use in it if it was made for r12? does the r134a rot or seep through r12 seals? do i have to have the compressor converted from r12 to r134a? if it was your car what would you do to it? thanks guys
