  1. Can anyone help me out here, I done a few checks on my r33 gtst and i came up with error code 21 on the Hicas Diagnostics, it usualy comes up normal, and i also checked the fluids and i had a nasty suprize, the auto trans fluid is almost clear!! it has a slight slight colour to it but its basicaly clear .. Is this some kind of new trans fluid that ive never seen b4 or is it just screwed.... also the car was warm when i checked it but it wasnt running or anything and it seems that the clear crap goes way past the full marker on the thand dip stick .. it goes just past the bump (if u know what it looks like) .. and it doesnt stop there either, the engine oil also goes past the full make and goes right to the end of the H on the dipstick, but the oil still looks healthy.... The car was serviced on July 26th so the fluids arnt old ... Can anyone shed any light on this ???
  2. Yep they are definatly the best rims ever made, they are the rims of my dreams and it kills me to sell them, but i have got the suspension set so hard in my car so that the tyres dont scrub on the guards that it a very rough ride ... I even thought about jacking the car up off the wheels and putting a gtr on the wheels ... They dont stick out that that much, i just was reluctant to get someone to roll the gards out because there is no going back if they stuff it up ... You only realy need to get the back ones rolled cos u can put gtr front guards on relatively easily so im told. I can take measurements on how far they stick out if u r interested ... I am willing to ship them but no cod's though ...
  3. If you got the guards rolled out they would be a perfect fit or you could get gtr front and rear guards fitted, but fitting rear guards is a big and expensive job. I actually had an idea b4, im wondering if shaving some of the back (side that sits against the disk) of the rim off will make them sit in more and not stick out of the guards ....
  4. here is a better pic of them, sorry bout the finger prints on them, i will take better pics soon ...
  5. Set of original LM-GT1 18" x 9.5" Rims with ultra low profile Kumho Ecsta Supra 265x35x18 directional tyres "95% tread" Reason for selling is they stick out of the guards on my GTST, so they are realy to suit a GTR, the are multi-stud so they fit oter models as well ... Pickup Only - $4500 not neg. 03 5335 9168
  6. i may be interested if you only want a few $$ for it ...
  7. for performance it maybe better, but when u have all the same and the back tyres start gettin low and u need to replace them, u can rotate the front wheels to the back and put new ones on the front, but this is not necessary thoe, either way make sure u go a good set of Directional tyres... Here is a site u will like, it lists all the online tyre places in victoria so u can check out ranges and prices ... http://www.autopages.com.au/ap.php?u=ap-sq...t=0,20&onpage=1
  8. I got Kumho's on my LMGT1 Nismo rims
  9. yer the Falken's r realy good, so are some of the Yokohama and Kuhmo tyres ... It all depends on your price range
  10. I forgot to mention tat the g'grids are a directional tyre, you will want to get a tyre that is directional, and try and stay te same size all round so u can rotate the front to the rears to keep the wear even .. The Pirelli P7000 is Da Bomb in advanced tyres... check out dis http://www.au.pirelli.com/en_AU/tyres/cata...&productid=3127 But i think that u could buy a a small car for the same price of a set of tese .. hehe
  11. I used to work at bridgestone in bacchus marsh, it all depends on how u like your tyres, you could go Pirelli but they are very expensive, Bridgestone G'grids look mad and handle great in the wet, they come in ultra low profile as well as mediums. But if u just want good reasonable price tyres in your area u could try that discount tyre place in the industrial section in melton, they r pretty good with price there, i take my hx there when it needs tyres ...
  12. Yep ive got a safc installed, i wasnt sure if the prochip done anything else besides af ratios. It would be a nice cheap way for people who dont have a safc thoe ...
  13. thanks 4 the info. meggala did u get the email i sent ?
  14. an rb26dett would be good, but wouldnt u have to change alot of things like ecu, exhaust, diff, radiator tailshaft etc etc ...
  15. nah they still havent started on it. In tryin to work out what to do, im kinda confused. They say that a new engine wound be cheaper than to fix mine, even thoe they havent opened her up to c what the problem is..I carnt c that if it were just the rings gone for instance that it would be cheaper to go for a new engine. I think it will cost $$$ just to check what is wrong and get a quote to fix it even if im definatly gettin them to do it.. Im havin some wicked withdrawals without her thoe ...
  16. I got diagrams on how to hook up a prochip on an r33 gtst, but who can i get to tune it and what kinda benifits would i get ? Im not even sure on what functions the prochip has .
  17. thanks for the info guys ... I still find it hard to see why they recommend gettin a new engine even thoe they dont know what damage is done... Taking the head off to find out what is damaged will cost money, but they have to take the engine out anyways if went for a new engine, so wouldnt it be better to take te engine out and crack her open and c what is wrong and then deciding what the best way to go about it is ? It shouldnt cost more realy cos it had to come out regardless, it might only be rings or something ... Surely it wouldnt cost more to fix it if its only minor, rather than buying a new engine ..
  18. Well my car is at Ice Performance at the moment and in tryin 2 decide how i should go about fixin it.... They said that it will be cheaper to drop a new engine in even thoe they dont know exactly how bad te damage is inside. The car runs pretty good, but it detonated when i was drivin at a high speed .. On a compression test all of tem are 160 exept for two of them which were 135 and 155. All that could be wrong could be a blown piston land or even a cracked piston, so has anyone had an engine with a blown piston land or a cracked piston fixed b4 and if so how much did it cost to get repaired ?
  19. Here is what happened when some bitch came flyin up on the left side of me when i was mergin right ..
