  1. umm yer, but does your speedo work thoe ? did u cut wire 53 to remove speed limiter ?
  2. tat joint section wont touch the wheel thoe will it ? the upper arm has vertical movement but the arm its connected to doesnt move without tyre ( .. kinda hard 2 explain ... but i think im ok .. I reckon i could go lower ....
  3. Can anone help me out. Ive just put on my new 18" Nismo LMGT1 mags and im a bit concerned about how close it is to the upper arm.
  4. Doc, there is a Main ECU Diagnostic Mode, and there is also a HICAS Diagnostic Mode whick checks the HICAS computer and tells you whats not workin .. Here is the r32 diag mode 1.) Switch ingition off, transmission in neutral or auto in Park. 2.) Start engine then very quickly (with a couple of seconds), turn the steering wheel left and right about 20 degrees from centre five times, and then pump the brakes five times, then press the brake pedal once more - this will enter diagnostic mode. 3.) Drive forwards or backwards about 5 metres at a speed less than 10k/ph, this will enter full diagnostic mode. 4.) The HICAS light in the instrument cluster will be flashing quickly (for normal) or will flash a code indicating any problems. Long flash = first digit Short flash = second digit. eg. 2 long flashes followed by 3 sort flashes would be Code 23 Codes are as follows: 11 HICAS control unit 12 HICAS motor power supply not present 13 HICAS motor output not present 21 Vehicle speed sensor not present 22 Steering angle sensor not present 23 Steering angle sensor neutral or not present 24 Rear main sensor input not present 25 Rear sub sensor input not present 31 Parking brake sensor input not present 32 (Auto) Inhibititor switch input not present (Manual) Neutral switch input not present 33 Engine speed signal not present Diagnostics will return to normal after five minutes, or any speed over 10k/ph, or ingnition is turned off. Make sure you do this a few times to make sure you get the correct code.

  7. Im not sure how much i will sell them for yet, i have also been thinkin about keepin bar as a spare. Not sure, but wen I get the 400r bar fixed i'll know then for sure ... As for the gauge. You just need the actual gauge out of the cluster right ?? Well this guy wanted $300ono for the whole instrument cluster.   8. Yer thanks for the info meggala. Thats where I wanted to go originaly, i rang him twice and was goin to try get it up there on a sat mornin, but problem being if i have 2 be there by 9am i would have to leave here probably about 6:30, then he said it will take about half a day bec he doesnt have a dyno there, he had 2 go across town or something... So meanwhilei have to wait round half a day .. Which wouldnt bother me so much actualy if i was watchin him service and dyno it .. but i know that alot of mechanics dont like customers standin round watchin them .. not sure bout gerald thoe.. I still wouldnt mind gettin it up to him thoe, since its already had its service, its just basicly a dyno run then ... Its a long way to drive fom here, but i hear its worth it ..
  9. Yeah im not2 sure what it sounded like (carnt remember) bec i havent started tha car since .... But i think it got oil change when i got it serviced and dyno'd. I just about to go inta the shed & open her up again ... The noise is probably normal, its just ive neva noticed it b4, there just seems to be alot of noise comin from the rear of that cover.. Im gettin camber done 2day thankgod ... Now I can slap the Nismo 18" LMGT1's on ..

The guy at JPC in Thomastown recommended I go for the Link rather than the Apexi PFC, he said he can tune the PFC's not a problem and hes done lots of them, but he still recommends the link as it is a board replacement so it looks totaly stock still (unless someone notices that u dont have an AFM anymore), u can tune it on a laptop/PC or there is a Handset for it also. He said tis is te main ecu that he installs and tunes there (mostly VL turbo's i would think thoe). But Autospeed had quite a few writeups on cqars hes done and totaly shocked people... So maybe ask around if and see if anyone round here has had a link installed by them .. He said he can supply and fit aftermarket turbo's, exhausts, intakes, suspension etc etc ...

  12. The spotties and the indicators are one unit, ou cannot seperate them. I will be sellin mine when i get my 400r front fixed, bec i put the stock r33 ser2 one back on. Are u sure the das is non reparable ? what doesnt work on it ? I seen a gtst dash for sale on another board for 300ono
  13. Did it say if it had a fmic or HiFlo Cat? I only get 152kw at 0.6 bar (just under 9psi) But I dont think it was dyno tuned properly, my car is an auto and they tuned it with o/d off, so its like tunin a 5sp manual in only 4th gear. My mods are Cat Back, Apexi Power Intake, Turbosmart Boost Cont, Apexi SAFC. Still runnin stock IC. I wonder is a fmic and hiflo cat will give me that extra 10kw ... But I still tink its bec it was tuned with o/d off thoe ...
  14. I hope ethan33 pops in here soon, he had his covers off polishing them not long ago .. maybe he had the same thing happen. Or maybe it is just me, too much illegal substances runnin throug me makin me paranoid

  16. Ballarat, Victoria .. Hey I just had a thougt .... Since the Cam Cover was off overnight, maybe its just the oil got a little tacky and the lifters are making the noise .....
  17. Yeah looks better than b4 ... I know noting went in, all tools acounted for... I just dont know if this noise was there b4 or not ... Damn I wish someone wit an r33 lived close to me .. i could stop stressing over it ... Im too scared to start te car now ... Im goin to have to rip her open again .. Even thoe im 100% sure nothing fell in ..

  20. Well I decided to polish cam covers, have been puttin it off for ages, so anyways I done one of them and decided tat i'll do the oter one in a few dayz. So I carefuly wiped gunk off the motor, so the gasket would seal nicely, i put it all back together, taking my time to do it properly and neatly .. i double checked tat everything was connected, ten i tripple checked ... and just b4 i started the car i had anoter quick check over every hose bolt etc .. Te car started perfectly, drove perfectly, everything was good. Anyways i went for a cruse b4 to supermarket and when pulled up I noticed that the car sounded differently, so i popped the hood, and it seems to be making a noise, almost like a knocking sound as well as a noisy kinda sound and it seems 2 be commin almost from the back section of the cover ... Now honestly and truthfuly, this could be normal and could have always been there and ive just never noticed, usualy when im under the hood the car isnt running, so i carnt say for sure that i remember it being there or not being there. It could be all the drugs im on .. feelin a bit buggy ..and the drus will do that 2 u, make u think more till paranoia gets you .. Either way im 2 scared to start the car now ... but it ran perfectly still, which probably means its just me ... Can anyone help ..... does it do anything to the car if its sits tere overnight without a cam cover on ?? It was covered so nothing got in or anything, but maybe something like a sensor picks up on it so the ecu has to be reset in order for it to function properly ... Any thoughts on this people ?? Has anyone else polished there covers and had this happen to them ????

  23. AFM are a major restriction on the skyline. Better to have a fully programable ecu to sense and map everything. When i go te link its goodbye to the safc and all the other piggybacks that i would have needed in the future.
  24. 1. Im looking at a new ecu, I have been leaning towards the LINK because this will eliminate the need for the afm, plus it fits in the original ecu case. Is this a good move ? also does the apexi pfc also eliminate need for a afm ? 2. I got my car dyno'd, my car is suposed to be 180kw@6400rpm stock standard, now when i got it dyno'd they got it to peak at 152kw at 104kph. Now im wondering if this is because Its an auto and the overdrive was off. It only dawned on me on the way home that it should have been dyno'd with te overdrive on ...
