  1. If u guys from NZ want, I'll buy u some and u can give them to ur friends. How bout we say this: deposit the money into my account, if NZ wins the final in the ODI cricket, ill send ya 2, if AUS wins I keep the money! How much faith do u have in ur cricket team?
  2. Ok, before i get flamed ive done a search and i couldn't find a conclusive thread about this. This is basically a question/info thread Question: i want to get an ECU for my car (r33 rb25DET), and wanna know the main differences and adv/disadv about each one. So far I've worked out that: - Apexi FC is the easiest to tune, u can achieve a better tune, its relatively cheap ($1200) its got a hand controller, good resale value and very reliable. Bad points are it uses AFM and does not have a boost controller - microtech is better for racing but not good for street since it is harder to tune for part throttle and to tune for economy. Alot of tuners are also not competant using it which means more dyno time is needed (= more $$$). Not sure how much the unit costs but it is slightly more expensive than AFC i think. Good thing about this one is that is uses a map sensor instead of an AFM, so no need to upgrade to z32 AFM. -wolf3D, is the 1 i dont really know anything about. Apparently its good tho. -Greddy emanage, apparently is more a A/f controller mush like the apexi SAFC, altho its got more features than a SAFC. Compared to an AFC, i'm not sure which ones better. E-manage can be obtained for under $400 from nengun. - remap, is a ok option if u plan to do no more mods on ur car. If u do, expect to pay 600-700 for each retune (which is only slightly more than a dyno run) but more importantly u are locked into the 1 tuner. Gains are also not as good. Dr-drift chargers less than 1000 from memory for the 1st remap. So far this is what ive understood. My car is a street car with very little track time and a stock turbo/afm/injectors. Im on a budget of (max $2000 drive away) and would like to hear pples opinions/experienced to help me decide which way to go.
  3. r u coming to melb soon?
  4. problem solved guys, it was the wheel studs but thanx for the input neway, much appreciated
  5. Hi, after a Bosche 040 fuel pump, pref brand new and pref in melbourne. If ne1 is selling or knows where i can pick one up for cheap let us know, Thanx
  6. hobzta man, u are seriously a legend. It checked the wheel nuts and for some unusual reason a few of them were loose, mayb some1 has tried to steal my rims. Regardless, problem is now fixed and u mate saved me alot of f***ing around.... so thank u
  7. thanx for the replies guys. In regards to the diff, i just has 1 rebuilt only 2months ago so i doubt it is it, but im hoping it is, since it is still under warranty. I'll also checkout the wheel nuts 2moro, hopefully it is that Most "bush mechanics" ive spoken to reckon its the CV joint tho
  8. I get this knock or sorta clunk in the rear from the diff area when i suddenly go off throttle. It also happens alot when im reversing and at a certain speed when im braking hard. It became apparent after a night of a few hard launches so im thinking i might have done a CV joint. Any ppl with similar experiences?
  9. Hi Sk, was considering replacing my rear springs from my tein HA coilovers with whiteline springs. Would these springs fit or do i need a special set for colivers?
  10. whats the spring rates?
  11. sounds like improper fitting/ defective wastegate actuator, who fitted it for u?
  12. i was getting abit of torque steel, wheel alignment fixed it tho
  13. did u lift the car with all the bolts off? this can do it i think
  14. No it wasnt his fault, he was blocked by craig
  15. when u say its in mint condition have u opened it up to have a look? or has it just been rebuilt?
  16. Listen to this guy, he so far is the only 1 who is right. Having a larger turbo also increases the noise
  17. Ok, ive sourced a few powerFC's for R33 GTS-t and am in the middle of negotiating a price. Currently it stands at around $1200 - $1300 delivered but i am trying to get that down to about $1100. If theres ppl interested I'll start a list, and if ne1 knows of somewhere we can get it cheaper plz post up a link Thanks Taso

  19. is it blowing any smoke? and if so what coulour?
  20. Basically, im about to purchase some tyres on ebay, the auction is about to end and i dont wanna miss out, what i need to know ASAP is if on my r33 GTS-t whether 265/35/18 tyres on +43 offset rims will fit the back and 225/40/18 tyres again offset +43 will fit the front. I got tein coilover suspension if that matters. Advice much appreciated guys, cheers
  21. Are u willing to slash the price dramatically? To give u an idea these same rims sold recently for around the 1000 mark without tyres, and if i were to buy these i would be replacing the tyres. Let me know by PM if ur interested, cheers
