  1. You can fool urselves all u want. End of the day i hope that u realise what alot of us already know: Its us against them. No, being a cop is not a respectable job No you shouldn't show respect and be submissive Yes, there is a large proportion of cops out there who are corrupt (much larger than what the public perceives,) This is a cultural thing that goes all the way to the top (ie Ex Dep. Comm. Noel Ashby) No, a cop will not have a problem taking ur car off the road even if u need it tomorrow to drive ur terminally ill mother (who cant travel by plane) to Sydney so she can have specialist surgery and then drive to Canberra to pick up ur Order of Australia Medal even though you have a perfect driving record. No, the purpose of TMU and the whole traffic enforcement system in Vic is not for safety but for revenue. Yes, most police officers join the force for the power trip and will most likely take this out on you. The works dangerous, the pay is shit, the reputation is crap; while else would u join? Yes, if enough ppl write/communicate these concerns with their local constituent then things can change
  2. Yea well i have a story too. I grew up in an all my white mates and they have all admited to me that it is "their own" that are creating the trouble. Does that prove anything? No. As has been mentioned here already, maybe if u actually went out into the real world and saw with ur own eyes what is happening you would see a much different picture than the one ur getting from sitting behind a computer screen
  3. Yea right, nice story Nismoid, you always have some little analogy to back up ur point but most of us know that 95% of the stories u say a purely lies. I mean this might have worked 5 years ago with ur little world of warcraft buddies but you don't seriously expect us to believe a story like that? Fool
  4. At least you are brave enough to admit the revenue raising role of TMU Graeme. 90% of officers u talk to will tell u its about "road safety". Whether they're dillusional or think they are fooling us who knows

  6. I think also the general stigma of being a cop is a problem too. Similar to the situation faced by the AFL and umpires, there is alot of negativity faced by officers today. The police force and the Govt in general is very much out of touch with younger ppl (Gen Ys) and young recruits are looked at as dogs, rats and cops. This is as much the fault of the force as it is the Govt. Young pple have lost all respect of the police force and this I think hasd alot to do with the way cops treat us. It has very much become a "us versus them" mentality. This will only ever be fixed through a cultural and attitude change throughout the force.
  7. Divert cops from the TMU units to start dealing with the real crime. That will solve the problem period. And to all u wog/lebo bashes (talking to u especially Nismoid), have u thought that ur attitude towards ethnic minority groups might be part of the problem. I'm sorry but Australia is a very racist country as has been highlighted recently by the Indian bashings and the comments by ex Telstra CEO Sol Trujio. When u segregate a portion of society then really what do u expect? And this is not a new phenomenon either. Look at the LA riots, the riots in Paris 5 years back and the Cronulla riots. I just hope that Melbourne never reaches that stage but the situation is not hopeful when you look at the attitude of alot of "anglo australians"
  8. Maybe the police need to stop focusing their attention on revenue raising related activities. Funny how easy it is to get caught speeding compared to how easy these thugs get away after they bash some1. With the way the police force is being run atm and for the last 5 years its not surprising that we have this problem now. I like many others saw this coming - what else do u expect when u have a police force run like a second tax man. In relation to "foreign" offenders, i have to agree with this. However from what i have extensively seen at the nite spots recently is usually the "non-foreigners" that start shit and the "foreigners" that finish it.
  9. no i dont sorry bump
  10. What most ppl here fail to understand is that the Govt doesnt mind if u bring hoons from the track to the street. More hooning = more revenue.

Similar thing happened to my mate, he didnt lose his licence at the time, but 18 months later they must have done a check or something on his licence and he lost his licence for exceeding points on his P-plates (18 months into his full licence) Hopefully they dont check urs i guess
  13. I wonder where the impound yard will be
  14. Extract pasted from VIcPol media release: Looks like mobile phone use is the next "hoon" behaviour item Mr Cameron said amendments to the Road Safety Act 1986 will give police the power to immediately impound or immobilise the mobile phone utilised by a person they reasonably believe has committed a mobile phone-related offence. “If police have reasonable grounds for believing a motorist has committed a mobile phone-related offence, they will be able to seize that phone for 48 hours, either through impoundment or by way of on-site immobilisation,” Mr Cameron said. “Any driver committing a second mobile phone-related offence within three years may have their phone impounded for up to three months.” “And if a person is found guilty of three mobile phone-related offences inside three years, their phone can be permanently forfeited by the Court. “In other words, three strikes and the phone’s out: sold by the State of Victoria, which will keep the proceeds.”
  15. Taking offers, these parts are just taking up space in my room Bump
  16. Stock cars with no mods pull anything b/w 150 to 160 rwkw. I'd say theres something seriously wrong: 1) Turbo might b e screwed 2) CAS might be screwed or the cam gear has been edged back a knob so u have much too retarded timing throughout the rev range 3) Worst case scenario is low compression in 1 or some of ur cylinders
  17. Hopefully i can make this 1
  18. Look, Most of you that are complaining would've and should've known what sort of rep our cars have before purchasing them. Knowing this, you still purchased the car so there is no use complaining now. End of the day, skylines/GTRs/silvias are always gonna be hoon cars in the eyes of the public and police. A skyline appearing on TT/ACA/7news in not gonna help the situation but realistically its not gonna change anything either. As these cars slowly get cheaper and cheaper you will find that the situation is gonna deteriorate not get better. If you can't handle the heat then yes, you should sell ur car cause the heat is only gonna get worse
