  1. Ive spoken to a few people, and most say that i should keep the suspension and put up with the bumps. My car has got a nismo front body-kit which is pretty low and if i get new suspension it might bottom out when i go over speed humps. I'll post some picks up 2moro so u guys can see and give me your opinions Cheers
  2. Damn, i really hope it works, anybody wanna swap suspension?
  3. Hi people's. I have been driving my skyline around for only 3 days now since i got it and the ride is REALLY REALLY rough. Basically i can feel even the smallest bumb in the road. I have Tein HA suspension and have done a bit of research. Apparently u can adjust the damper so that the ride is much softer. I will not be taking it to the track at all, well for at least a year, so there is no need to have the ride so hard. Does anybody know how i can adjust it and if so, how much i should adjust so i can have reasonable comfort but still have the rigidity Thanks, any help woul be greatly appreciated
  4. No offence to the designer of the search tool, but really it finds jack Sh^t. Plus is it against the rules to ask questions on the forum or something?
  5. Anyone here know what the max level of db that is allowed on your exhaust? And how far away do u hold the db meter when measuring it?
  6. Why dont u go down to Noble Maccas on a Friday night with a few mates and ask some questions, without giving away that ur the owner of the stolen car. Say u wanna buy some stolen rims or something. Theres a good chance that the people who stole ur car also deal in other stolen goods. Also, make a list of people who knew your car didnt have an alarm. I know it sounds cynical but really u never know what kind of friends u really have. My mate reckons he knows some guys that hang around the dandenong area and that are into stealing cars. If u want i can make enquiries for you, though i dont think that they would really tell him. Worth a try i guess. Good luck man, and good luck with dealing with the cops. Hope u find ur car real soon
  7. Hes right, trust me. The car is prob worth in the 6-9 bracket. Your much better off spending an extra 5gran and getting a decent manual gts-t with lower kms. If thats out of your budget then either wait and save up or don't buy a skyline. You WILL REGRET it. For 6-9 gran u can buy much nicer cars than that.
  8. If the car is manual, 15 is an ok price. Don't pay anything over 16. If auto dont bother paying anything more than 13. Theres much better deals going around. I just bought a 95 gtst so if your interested i can tell you some of the good deals i saw.
  9. If they go for so much more why hasn't he sold it yet? The value of any item is what a buyer is willing to pay for it, not what the seller thinks they "go for"
  10. Hey i just recently bought a skyline (2weeks ago) so i know about the market. For a private seller car trust me man, nobody is going to pay more than 17,000 for it. I got mine (series 1.5) from a dealer, its done less k's, and i get 2yrs warranty. Got it for 17gran on the road. You've got to remember, petrol prices are high atm, plus the fact that your car comes with no warranty will be factored into the price. I'd say if you're lucky enough to get an offer of 17 take it!

    Epa .. Fine?

Do u guys reckon it will be alright for me to put on a POD filter or will i get diked by cops. I got a r33 gtst with a 3.5inch exhaust that is reasonably loud, and a boost gauge. No other mods. Also whats the max loudness of an exhasut allowed to be. I heard it might be 98db. Has anyone heard about this?
  12. try SSV on dandy rd, they're pretty good
  13. I dont know if this is true, but i heard recently that if coppers dik u in Victoria with a poddy then u dont get a canary (defect notice) but instead get some kind of EPA notice where you have get an emissions test on your car. Can anyone confirm/unconfirm this statement?
  14. I saw my skyline with 18,990 written on it. After looking at it at for a while the salesperson asked me how much i wanted to spend. I said 16 at the most. 3 weeks later sitting in his office he wanted 16,500, i said to him, he wouldn't budge, so after 15 minutes, i got up and said, "look instead of me thinking about 16,500 i'll give you a few days to think about 16". I bought the car for 16. All you gotta do is pretend you know what your doing i guess, and also don't go in trying to be a hero or a hard c&*t coz they wont like you, and prob try to screw you over with the price.
  15. The guy reckons he can switch over either a 3.5' or 4' exhaust from another skyline after they're done with compliancing. He says he'll do it for $350. U reckon it will be worth it? I've got 3 to pick from, should i just go for the best sounding one, or just the bigggest one? Thanx for the tip with the turbo-timer, it does sound like a bit of a gimmick. Not worth all the hassels i reckon too.
  16. What alarm do you have, coz apparently for some of them you don't need the relay. If it says under features: "turbo timer interface, timer not supplied", u reckon i will need the relay?
  17. Even better post the pics up for all to see
  18. Hey pple, i just bought my Skyline, (from a dealer) Its a '95 (series 1.5) GTS-T, 77000kms Its gotta a bodykit, adjustable suspension, (might be coilovers, guy said it was worth 4grand, but could obviously be bullshitting), Manaray 17' rims 2 years warranty manual of course!! $17,250! on the road (16 for the car in case ur not from VIC) (see attachment for PIC) I know its too late but is that a good deal Also need some advice, how much should i be paying for a brand new blitz turbotimer and how much for a second-hand no-name brand one. Ive also had some conflicting advice regarding the compatibility of turbo-timers with immobilisers and alarms. Ive been told that i might need to buy some kind of adapter thing so that the alarm arms itself after the turbo timer has finished. Is this true, (The alarm im getting is the mongoose M60S) thanx for any input, it would be greatly appreciated
