There is no doubt about it that some people are asking to much for there R34 GT-R's in OZ, Although they are still expensive everywhere in the world and will retain there prices, I have looked over the years at many different countries even outside of Japan and they still are all similar prices give or take 10k. Really the best way to get a good deal on a R34 GT-R is to find someone pressed to sell otherwise there pricing is fairly stable in general. If that car went for 40k say FOB your still looking at around 52k the time its landed complied and reg, and what locally VSII are 53-60 roughly. Also you have to wait for it to get here from JP, can't site the car personally, can't get finance if thats what your after and also the general risks involved in importing. I have imported a 2000mdl R34 GTR Vspec a couple of years ago now and had no problems whatsoever, I got it landed for around 42k but also keep in mind the dollar was better back then at 99Yen to the $1, yes the car was clean and it all went smoothly so I am not saying that I won't import again, although when you can get a BB 34R that is clean locally for low to mid 40s I would go that option.

Gzilah I saw that car but an importer said it was 69k landed and complied where did you get 37k? Im assuming 37k if fob price and was that starting price or what it sold for.

I agree 100% you have to be very specific about what R34 GT-R you buy, with cars like this there never is a rush as most people aren't buying them as a daily but usually as a weekender.

His asking way to much, doesnt even have a built motor.

^ Lol true I've pretty much been looking at R34 GT-R's weekly for the last 6 years so seen a fair few, the R34 was my 1st love it was the 1st GT-R i ever drove it was a mates one with a VSpec II MP3 and I have loved them since. Even when I had the R35 GT-R secretly always wanted another R34 GT-R . Nothing like a big power RB !!

Cheers mate yeah I think yellow does look pretty nice, its a nice yellow not like the cheeseburger yellow on the WRX's. Saw that MP one on carsales, to be honest I have been around GT-R's for over 6 years owned 2 33's (one ran a 10.8) a 00 R34 V-Spec and a R35 GT-R. I have monitored GT-R prices for a while for example a year ago longz MPII Vspec R34 GT-R sold for 47k, another non V-Spec with respectable mods for around 51k. So I'm just looking for an honest car with an honest price in the end of the day at least whoever speaks to me knows I wont be wasting there time with delay's and no money bs etc, cause theres nothing worse then selling a car that's your passion and dealing with time wasters.

Hey Guys, I have sold my R35 GT-R and am now in the market for an R34 GT-R V-Spec. Lot of people probably asking why I sold a R35 to go to a R34, firstly I really miss my old GT-R (RB26) nothing like a manual gearbox with a nice worked RB26. Additional to that I needed to free up some cash for a new business venture. The R35 GT-R was the best street daily car although when it comes to a fun car I would say the RB26 Cars takes the cake between the clunks and noises the old school GT-R's just feel much more individual and raw. I am looking for an R34 GT-R would like a V-Spec or V-Spec II, I am open to cars at any level would prefer something with mods but don't mind a clean stock car also. Would prefer something with history from Japan but not mandatory. My priority on colours are as follows. 1. Midnight Purple II or III 2. Bayside Blue 3.White/Black 4.Yellow I may consider other colours so no hurt in sending me info on what you have. If you could email me any information about the history of the car along with some pictures and an idea of what price you are after that would be great, also a detailed mod list. Nice work mate, could you elaborate on the following things for my own personal knowledge. 1. What year model is your GT-R and what modifications 2. What tyres where you running and tyre pressures 3. Did you use launch control and at what rpm was launch 4. Was it on R R off or R R R This would help me heaps, I have an 09 with full Exhaust and cobb and would like to get in the 10s this will help me work out if its possible. Cheers,

Kym I know the feeling mate in the space of a year I have had to replace 3 tyres due to getting a nail/screw in them. I am now about to upgrade all four to the new Michelin tyres everyone's raving about in the states, I believe there the ones that have been used to set the fastest time at the nurburgring to date.

Could you pm me info on the rips engine.
