What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
poohkies replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Last night after many hours of F n around managed to get the oil filter off, I don't know how hard the rb25 is but the rb26 is just rediculous, removed the batter and then the fuse box (pushed that forward to where the battery was) after getting that off I was happy to then attempt to change the oil. Also did the gear box oil (maybe had 2.5 litres in it) car shifts alot nicer now. now to do diffs and transfer case next. -
would a gtr rear end sort that out, as in same rear end as autech 260rs
-
thanks heaps that's exactly what i wanted to see / know thanks guys ! will get this sorted in the next few weeks! on less thing to worry about when upgrading the turbos (they should go bang soon)
-
yeap, sad day

probably with this is that it's still going to be front rear, you can't disconnect the attessa system with the TCS controller from what I have read! it will still have power going to the front. so unless u remove the shaft, or disconnect the plug under the dash (which when i do that makes my car loose power (either restricts timing etc) limp mode ) Like I said earlier this also happened when doing motorkhana's if the car is holding a certain tight angle! on the skid pan I didn't have a problem at all, but that nice slow constant slide.

I said that in my post, the car was fine untill surge, then the 4wd light went on, so obviously went rwd

Scotty, yeah I'd look into the new welbro, mates running one in his gtr, also e85 compatible

I was actually looking at a different conversion from the norm for my vl a while back, and was thinking about the 4 litre out of the Navara then use the m32 manifolds etc to turbo it! (hopeing nissan kept everything interchangable like they do) that would make a very very nice torque engine -
?? as in fuel pressure reg?
-
getto wiring, you guys are muppets! so before you make you stupid comments, not all people do dodgy's and some people can drive in a small area and whip donuts in 4wd with no problems, especially in a massive fridge. In saying that towards the end the 4wd light came on, which obviously stop putting power to the front wheels believe it was from when the car got fuel surge. waited turned the car off at the end, turned it on again and it's been fine since that doesn't show the roll in , but as you can see before the surge it was spinning as it would in 4wd Thanks KiwiRS4T that's a start for me to have a look and work out where to go! I was going to look at in rear drivers side compartment, see if there is enough room around the atessa pump, see if could get a surge tank made to fit in there. or in the spare tyre area, get something fab in there, but like you said, main concern is it's a family car (Children in it regularly) that if we have a rear car accident I wouldnt want that to well you know what im saying. Regards

mmmm guys I'm very well away of doing things properly, and I am able to diagnose fuel surge! I was more interested in if people suffered from it and what they needed to do to fix it, where and how the installed a surge tank, I also competed in a motorkhana and experience the same problem with right hand down (so it's obviously a problem with fuel to the pick up) and it's very easy to do burnouts in a stagea. Drive in at 40 , clutch in handbrake side step hold on!

Had half a tank of fuel, burnout comp car stops reving after a number of donuts (fuel surge)
-
As above, seems when ever I'm having fun I get fuel surge even with half a tank of fuel. Has anyone installed a surge tank to the stagea's, I only suffer this when right hand down I'm yet to try left hand down

Took the car to Hiddenvalley last night, managed a 13.6 at 102 so still doing the same mph, couldn't get my 60 foot under a 2 seconds, very very slippery! They just had scrapped the rubber of and re layed vht hopefully when they get more rubber down it will be better! Plus side I've managed to get my reaction down to .006 so managed to do a number of .406 reactions

installed boost gauge, car runs 14.5 psi, was hoping it was running a little lower so I could have upped the boost. So i'll just go sort the rest of the exhaust and still aiming for hi 12's -
Spotted Ken's (boycriedwolf's) old red c34, looking at it I think they've put the autech rims on the wrong end, as the arse off set sits out uber wide. Also spoted a Bronze / gold m35 along back road out of darwin
