Could you possibly fill in the areas between points with rough time frames? I havent receieved any documents about import approval yet, do i need to? i dont now what your complaining about? If your ready to buy something then just do it, get it checked out and make a decision. If your so undecided your not ready to buy IMHO, evryone here has there own opinion on what car because we all like different things. What do you like? When you can answer that then buy it, if unsure dont buy it! Most of us who import dont get a chance to drive our cars at all and just have photographs and the trust in our importer to come through for us. Hi All, The car i have on the way has low k's but regardless of k's if you have imported a car, what are the things you would get done immediately. I am thinking a Major Service and get it on the dyno to make sure all is running as it should be, if thats all good my priority is to get that Jap head unit out and replaced, although i am expecting the wharfies to do half the job for me Obviously any safety issues come first. My importer is getting it serviced etc but i thik i will get it done by someone i know when i get it home. I have stressed to them it needs to be schmick cause i am driving it back from Brisbane to Townsville Cheers Stink

Hey Eddy, Mate i am a noob to the whole seen and just recently bought a car and am impoting it. Not sure how much money you have mate but for 16k give or take a bit depending on quality you can get yourself a nice clen stock 33 imported complied and ready to go depending on who you go with you should get a warranty as well. Mine has a three year nation wide warranty, these warranties are by no mean as good as new car etc but at least you have some peice of mind in what your buying. My importer gave me a report on the car i ended up buying which has a description of what the car is like and if there is something wrong with the car that not on the report i can pull out of the deal. Llike others have said mate just sounds like theres a alot wrong but hey get a mechanic who knows these cars to look at it and you will be right Cheers Stink

Hi All, Just a quick question on the process, i bought my car at auction a week ago. Rang my broker and they have told me they are waiting for the Import approval. What does that mean exactly does that mean the car has been deregistered and stuff already or does it mean none of thats been done yet? I was told originally only a couple of days to deregister and then they look to get it on a ship? I am probably being impatient, but once i have paid money i cant help myself! Cheers Stink

It Does yeah , I didnt mention anything about k's cause people tend to get excited lol It has full service history and the inspector is adamant that they are genuine and my importer thinks they are to. I myself like to think they are but i am very skeptical, my mechanic will be able to tell so we shall see. Even if the k's were double that i would still be happy! Cheers Stink

yeah thats what i am worried about, being just under 6ft if my hair is touching it that will be annoying. Like someone already said they gonna be over the 1k mark. I think there really going to struggle because MS will no doubt drop the price of the 360 when Sony launches PS3. Its a big call for someone who doesnt currently have a console to buy a PS3 over the 360 given there will be a huge price difference. As far as performance goes your not going to get any noticable difference, Sony will be crossing there fingers and hoping the die hard playstation fans will pull them through this one. I dont want to get into a tech spec argument with anyone, but if you stand back and look at the two systems and what they can do, the compatibility and versatililty of the MS system is in my opinion is going to dominate over the next few years. This is just my opinion, and opinions are like assholes as they say :-) Cheers Stink
