  1. Yeah ill try the ecu reset tmrw thanks for that. Yeah ill try injector clean too. Guy thinks that there may have been bigger injectors in the half cut i bought. May be something to look at, maybye they need better reg or pump?

  3. James, The engine is out of a series two 97 model, i didnt rebuild old motor as block was screwed. I dont have a aftermarket boost guage. I also have performed that high boost mod mod that is stated on this site, possibly a dumb move befor car was tuned.

The car has the following mods, K&N pod filter Hybrid Front Mount 3 inch cat back exhaust Daikon/exedy brass button clutch kyb struts and springs I havnt had the car tuned after I have put motor in and the front mount so maybye that is the problem. I am confident it is not the usual coil, or spark plug issue as they are new and coils have been checked 2 weeks ago. Noticed idle fluctuating between 800 and 100 rpm everynow and then again today. Almost sounded like it had lumpy cams.
  5. hey all, I have just had my motor replaced and have had some vacum leaks fixed and an exhaust manifold leak fixed. Before they were fixed car wasnt boosting up. Car is boosting up now but seems to be hesitating a bit. Doesnt seem to be comming on boost as hard. I have added a front mount and i was told to expect more turbo lag, but the car feels substantially slower. I notice it quite a lot in 3rd gear, Second doesnt seem to bad. Idle goes up or down a bit every now and then too. I have noticed when the idle does this, I can hear a clicking near the front or intake side of the head just as the idle changes? Any Ideas anyone? And also what does everone sugest i do to treat my newly formed car? Good oil? etc thanks

  8. Hi guys, Ive shorted my indicators out when The car was driven into and the indicator on front bar was smashed. Drove car around rest of the day with loose wire and it must have shorted out. Where is the location of the fuse for this? And location for other fuses for future referance? thatnkyou
  9. Hey since you guys are tellling everyone your secrets about wiring and fuses now we have to do all of them at once so they cant guess which one it is! Or take the engine out with a crane and put it in our lunch box you morons! Shut the f**k up and youse your brains! Not everyone on these sites regardless if they own a skyline is trustwrthy! I knew of a guy with a vl turbo with a rb25det and everyone of the performance parts he had on the car were ripped off other cars! f**ks sake

  12. my car had a nasty exhaust leak when i tried this. It was really boosting up at all before i done this. After i done it it was going up to 5pd at low revs. leak was gasket between manifold and turbo

  14. nxtime, my r33 developed a knock and at first i thought it was a noisy tappet so i was on my way to get some new oil, and it seized. My bottom end bearing spun and disinegrated similar to yours but my conrod didnt snap (however it was ground out by the ring. The grooves in the block were unrepairable, the crank was f**ked and the head was only just repairable with a grind, which i ended up selling for $800. My dad is a mechanic and he puts it down to a failed oil pump.

  17. cubes, when i bought my car it had the kyb struts in them. At the time they were about 1000 for a set of 4, but i think they have droped in price a bit since then

  19. hey mate, I have kyb struts in my car, and some unknown jap springs that were in the car when it got here. They are really good, especially with the springs. My mate has hks coilovers and allround his supension isnt mych stiffer than mine. I think for a daily driver it makes a quite smart choice
  20. Thats the problem with so many of these new school cars. They have nice interiors, sometimes really nice. But they go like shit, and handle worse
  21. Thanks for the pics scathing you smartass! haha I like this car, and to be honest I think i like it more then the new skyline. Definantly better looking I think. Interior is plush, a modified kit set of rims and a good window tint and stereo. Ill have one. who wants my r33?

  25. dont go much below 15k. They have droped a bit in price r33s but not that much. someone smart with the intentions of buying it for a solid reliable performace build up will grab it for that i think. they do take a while to get rid of r33s to so keep that in mind. They are very common now. I see them all the time on the gold coast now. Couple of years ago there was hardly any
