  1. cant fix it and everyone should have the problem... threads are shown as unread if they have a post made since your "last activity" time which is stored in your cookie. the last activity time is updated if you hit the "mark all forums read" link on the main page, or it is updated the next time you visit the forums if the current time is greater than "last activity" + the cookie timeout value set by the admins.. as cookies are limited to 4k? per site, you cannot possibly record all the possible threads that you have read since your visit.. make sense?
  2. dragons lair was re-released on pc not long ago, original laser discs captured to mpeg.. damn hard, i have it at home somewhere remember space ace for the amiga? that was awesome, similar to dragons lair but a bit more playable.. there was another one after this too i think, but cant remember the name
  3. i'm 25 paperrun.. heh remember paper boy? throwing papers thru the windows? and the little obstacle course at the end of the stages..
  4. i wonder if winUAE has been updated/improved recently.. last time i used it, it was still quite buggy.. but that was maybe 2 or 3 years ago now
  5. i think its a full game, possibly with source code, havent downloaded it yet tho.. but it looks like it was a feature article/project for pcformat magazine just going by what it says on the website

  12. heh yeah the spinning head chop then the spurting blood from the neck and that little troll guy who comes out and kicks there heads and drags the body off the screen
  13. silkworm, thats it!! remember nebulus 1 & 2? little green guy that had to climb the towers? that was awesome and some other bitmap brothers games i just remembered speedball!!! and magic pockets cutesy platform game, still good fun
  14. yeah and u could punch a hole on the floppies and they became double sided haha
  15. yeah flying shark on c64 was good, tanks and planes to shoot i never really liked 1942, and the one before it? 1940? thats reminded me of the vertical scrollers on the amiga, where one player was a helicopter and one was a jeep... cant remember the name of it but unreal game

  18. for all those who have no clue what xenon 2 was thats the actual resolution the game ran at too 320x200 oh the marble game was marble madness most of the games were such simple concepts but were so addictive..

  20. I think gunship2000 was the first flight sim where you had wingmen, and could tell them what to do... heaps cool I was so addicted to that, send them on suicide missions heh..

  22. which was the one with the betty boo songs? xenon 2? or gods? all i know is I worshipped the bitmap brothers heh yah xenon 2 was mad, the shop to buy powerups was cool, once you had most of the weapons you were pretty much unstoppable.. also left/right and up/down scrolling, and having to scroll back down the screen when u took the wrong path heh
  23. wasnt links for the pc? hmm yeah turrican was good, and that reminded me of Gods and the earlier bitmap brothers classics, xenon and xenon 2 vertical scrolling bliss hmm, and darius, r-type clone on the amiga yeah i agree, games today are shallow with no challenge... quick save has killed gameplay... 3 lives is all anyone needs to complete a game
  24. hmm.. almost forgot about arkanoid and the million or so different clones over the years pong taken to a new level.. oh and that reminds me of pang.. who would of thought shooting baloons with harpoon like spikes could be so addictive hmm.. there goes work for today.. the rest of my day will be spent thinking about old games
  25. haha sam fox strip poker! party girls was another c64 classic actually one school holidays a friend and i created possibly the worlds first incarnation of strip blackjack... on the c64 tragic haha.. musta been 9 or 10 at the time.. early starters
