  2. Going from memory, I believe the UAS baffles are a copy of the JUN baffles knocked up by Micks Metalcraft, this may have changed as its been over a year since I was last looking for some. The tomei baffles are reasonably priced and might be a good option. The majority of the cost will be installation, as unless you want to stuff around removing the cross member you will need to pull the motor to drop the sump.
  3. nismo set comes with orange globes. not sure about gtst, but on gt-r you carefully put screwdriver under one side of indicator and lift up, and it pops out.
  4. 18c/L more than regular unleaded?!?? I've noticed lately that ultimate has been 9c/L more than reg. unleaded around Brisbane, which is crazy considering that optimax was only 3c/L more than regular unleaded when it was first introduced... get everyone hooked on the good stuff then jack the prices up...
  5. I've got one in the garage somewhere, perfect condition and should be in perfect working order, hasnt been touched in 3+ years. pm me with how much you're willing to pay.
  6. Preferably in as new condition. pm, or email [email protected] thx.
  7. boost restrictor is correct, its located under the yellow ring on the hose running to the boost solenoid. i've never heard of the duty cycle restriction tho.
  8. look for it the volume you want at bestmotoring.jp, then order it from amazon.co.jp, they have english ordering and support.
  9. merry xmas all. is there really double demerits in queensland now?
  10. thanks for the suggestions. however, I have decided to just get the settings I need from the last place that set it up (in sydney) and will just get the local bob jane to tweak it as required. out of curiosity, which suburb is Leda in?
  11. They aren't all that good either
  12. Looking for somewhere experienced setting up GTRs. Any recommendations?
  13. still got it? hit me up at [email protected]
  14. are you sure its a crack? i have heard that some later model r33 blocks (96 onwards) had porosity issues due to reduced material in the casting process, apparently its only an external issue and typically occurs in the area around the turbo oil feed line.
  15. both cars have a similar weight, only 50kgs difference so that doesnt really make much of a difference, both cars are still quite heavy and you notice it around town (and in your petrol bills). r32 is definately more tail happy, is much smaller inside and has more of a race car feel. the r33 has a longer wheel base, and reworked attessa, and feels much more stable and is less inclined to get the tail out unless you are really pushing it... stock for stock the 32 is much more fun to drive, you could almost say the 33 is boring in comparison, and while it still is a fast car it doesnt feel it. once you reach the 450-500hp mark the 32 starts to get 'unstable' and requires considerable driving skill, around this power level the 33 is just starting to become fun to drive and is still very stable. once you reach around 600hp the 32 is starting to become unsuitable for the street, however the 33 is brilliant at this stage and shrugs off everything you throw at it, at this level of power the 33 is an awesome car. over 600hp, 33gtr. this is just my opinion after driving and riding in both cars at various power levels, some may disagree
  16. definately! when I had them on my car they looked sweet, but needed another 10-20mm of offset to fill the guards properly. I've even heard of r34 owners using spacers for this reason.
  17. lucky.... My first year insuring the GTR was $1300, 2nd year it jumped to $1900, last year it was $2300... So much for insurance getting cheaper as you get older..... This is also with JustCar insurance.
  18. interesting.. every test i have seen rates the apexi filter very highly, with flow rates approachine those of the foam hks/trust type filters, and high filtration similar to paper based filters.. are you able to post the results of these tests?
  19. yeah hopefully the weather will come good.

    yeah, Gavin knows his shit.
  21. nismo sell 2 different shifters. solid shift, which is 10% reduction and basically the same as the standard shifter, but with the rubber insert inside the shifter removed to give a more direct feel. 16,000 yen. quick shift, which they claim is 25% shorter, again the rubber insert is removed. 34,000 yen. visually, the contents of the c's shifter and nismo quick shifter packages are identical, and i wouldnt be suprised if both were produced by the same manufacturer. i have also done a side by side comparison of the nismo quick shifter in my 33gtr, with the c's shifter in merli's old 33gtst. the shift on mine was noticeably shorter.

i have been in the administrator group ever since i installed these forums, and i guess remain in there due to the forums being hosted on my server and the continual tweaks needed to keep the forums running smoothly. this, however, does not in any way make me a "skylines australia" admin. who said anything about not liking this thread? i made the comment purely because people are starting to complain in other threads about the server busy messages appearing again, the comment was intended to merely be a suggestion that making pointless posts could be contributing to the load. edited: apology retracted, **** you added
