  1. thanks for the information guys. will have a check.
  2. heat range....i would think right throughout... everytime i start my car i let it idle till the revs die to about 1090 (on my turbo timer n avcr), before moving off. it happens when the oil temp gauge hasn't moved, but has happened when the oil is at operating temp. i think my gap is 1mm.
  3. could u pm me wat happened?? very interested....
  4. hey guys, need some help. what's the difference between a misfire and a backfire?? i understand they all make that pop pop pop out the exhaust right?? so how do u identify which is which?? also, what are the symptoms of fouled plugs, i.e. how do u know they are fouled?? and what does your car do if ur plugs r fouled?? my car sumtimes has power cuts, not when i push it, but when i'm driving like a granny...i have been told by my mechanic to stop driving my car like a granny cos the rb26 needs to be stressed. is this true?? the power cut feels like a jerk, and usually happens between 2000-3000rpm...up high it's fine n just revs n revs...any ideas guys?? thanks for any help guys.
  5. hmm...from what i know, www98 is running autronic. he's spent 18k all in for tuning and for the extra parts u need to get like anti-lag and some other stuff...well, that's wat he told me... and if u dunno www98...well u haven't seen a GTR run until u have seen that one...
  6. yes yes ph1...pls explain what happened??
  7. shucks man...i lost mine when i took them off
  8. they r good. period. seriously...they tune cars well. one thing i learnt from them is that my spark plugs should not be .85 but 1mm or sumthing like that. had them do my servicing three times n my car's running well. plus they installed all the mods n tuned my car. ask slip or abu53 how it goes.
  9. standard GTR turbos are t28s rite? and r these smallish turbos??
  10. pm sent back... also have a stock front pipe for sale.
  11. Hi all, got a few things for sale. 1. GTR clutch assembly, flywheel and all. 2. GTR fuel regulator. 3. GTR front pipe. 4. GTR springs. 5. GTR cam gears. 6. GTR airbox. will ship interstate, but buyer pays freight. reasons for sale is i have aftermarket parts for all of those things.
  12. hey interested in the sump...has it had a modified baffle plate in it?? pics n price to [email protected] pls. if everything is right will pick up in a week or 2
  13. you would have lost the drive towards the next apex
  14. sorry...forgot bout fmic... i didn't have to change mine...
  15. gauges suggestion...oil temp n exhaust temp?? how about hks or apexi ones? defi ones r good too...n btw all these brands' new gauges require a computer thingie.
  16. hmm...power fc upgrade i'd think. it's a programmable ecu (engine control unit), which is the computer that controls the engine. sort that out, then get the fuelling system up to scratch n throw on a bigger turbo.
  17. could it be the afm maxxing out?
  18. use handbrake, or just dump it at 5000 rpm...the minimal wheelspin u will experience is negligible...unless u're in competition have seen videos where GTR's clutch is let out progressively at 8000rpm...no wheelspin at all
  19. doesn't anyone know why these clutches behave like that?? was there something wrong with the installation??
  20. someone once told me stock supra internals could see up to 1000hp. i laughed at him, but dunno if this is true...so can someone tell me if it is??
  21. it's very light...which was surprising...seeing i was used to a heavy clutch i couldn't get used to the lightness...kinda lost the spring back a heavy clutch has no freeplay...it's solid centred...so u might wanna consider something else...n yes it's extremely frustrating
  22. hmm...i've got a hks twin in mine and it has this problem too... the take up is pretty high up, but sumtimes it grips pretty low, like usually when i come to a stop to park the car. 1st and rev will be much lower than usual, the take up that is... can anyone explain why this is??
  23. thanks for that info...kinda cleared things up a bit. just wondering...is there any website i could go to for such information, i just wanna be absolutely certain.
  24. like u said u want a street car. now if u were building a drag weapon, i think the TD05 should stay on... for a street car, i'd think the N1 turbos would be more than sufficient to do the job. u're in H.K. right? get it tuned with someone who's good there. they know how to tune the F-Con Pro right? get the fuelling right and of course, the cams too. if you can't then just take it one step at a time, or save up and do it all at once. the 2.8 would be a good engine, but dun think u'd need it with N1 turbos. unless u're planning a track car, dun think u'd need to get so extreme. again, for street-trim, i'd go with N1 turbos. much easier to live with and work with. dun forget, these turbos see the JGTC cars produce 500 odd horses...so they're not that slack too
  25. i have a hks twin in my car. grips like mad, no play at all. moving off on a hill is a pain. from what i've heard, nismo, os giken and ats make clutches for road use. the one i have in mine is a race clutch. i was told this after i put it in...could have gotten either one of those other 3 for the same price...
