  1. come on people...make this cruise count...we've put in the effort to organise it
  2. Dudes, there is a cruise happening right now, from Griffith University's car park. Come one, come all. Let's all put in the effort and make this one that counts. Itinerary: Griffith University: Now. BP Servo: In approximately 10 minutes. From there, we will head to a dance class in Ipswich. Free for all after that. Should be around 180kms round trip. Come on guys. Put in the effort. We've organised it.
  3. you can buy mine now if you want it.
  4. Took me about 2 years to prep my GTR and it's not fully prepped yet. Will handle the track, but not do 57-58 secs. The only 2 other cars that I saw lap under 1 min, a black 180sx and an RX3. I think the 180sx was doing 58 secs and the RX3 was doing 53 secs, although it blew up after 2 laps.
  5. cool! i'll put one on top of the engine and one of top of the brake master cylinder!!
  6. so i get to put the polariser in my car?
  7. The guy is downstairs now driving it away....
  8. Evo 8 Quarter Mile: 13.4 @ 102.5 mph
  9. I've got the Trust sump extension and Trust 10 row oil cooler. Running about 9 litres of oil.

  11. Yeah...if you win the lotto you gotta buy me one of those engines too
  12. GTRman1992 exactly what I've been told. You can never pull as much Gs on the road as you can on the track. But I'd really wanna be safe, so I popped the sump on to have peace of mind. Not really keen on 10 grand worth of damage. John...yes I believe you have to pull the engine to get to the sump, not too sure on this though.
  13. Dude, if you want parts, pm me. I will ship them from overseas. Maybe consider a stroker kit, like HKS, if you've got the cash lying around. Forget about the stock block. Get an N1 block from Nismo, they're 3k a pop. HKS stroker kits come with pistons, con rods and crank. Put it all in and you should have a decent engine. Head work is the next thing you would look at, get it port and polished to maximise your bottom end. And don't forget about your sump baffle while you're at it. If you've got about 40-45k lying around, I can get you an 800hp Tomei engine, or a JUN engine built to your specifications.
  14. I don't know where people got the impression that GTRs are track ready from factory. They're far from it. They're a road going homologation of a race car, except the N1s or the special edition GTRs. You have no idea how many times I thought I have prepared my car for the track only to be told this this this needs to be changed first. Not a cheap hobby nor car to choose for the track. On a side note, Sydneykid has explained why the GTRs experience higher oil temps, i.e. 2 turbos and mainly because the front diff runs through the sump.
  15. To baffle your sump i think it costs around 200-300 done by the mechanic i use. You might find someone to do it for cheaper. My Trust sump set up was cheap, but that's because I'm a dodgy Asian. I did not do the sump myself as I do not have an engine hoist nor do I have an angle grinder and a welder. Alternatively, you can buy a ready made JUN sump (not the parts to baffle the sump) for about 3 times what I paid for the Trust item. I have said it many times, engine revs or how many laps are not important. How hard you turn is the important factor. QR has 3 right hand turns alone after the main straight, consider how much the oil would have moved to the left. Then think of the starved engine being revved to pull the car through turn 3 and bang you have a hole in your block. So far, my mechanic has handed out accurate and invaluable advice to me, although it doesn't come cheap, although his advice regarding the sump was: "Some people have gotten away without a sump for a couple of track days, but it's a $10k risk you are taking. If you're unlucky, your engine will blow by turn 2."
  16. what you doing up so early anyway?
  17. again!
  18. i'm breaking it up
  19. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=43555 I have said it many times before...do not even contemplate taking your GTR onto the track if it doesn't have a proper baffle in it. People in this thread have punched a hole in their blocks or spun bearings. It is not a very expensive thing to do but will save your engine. If you want to do a track day in your GTR, please do up your sump first. Oil cooler is necessary, but will not stop your oil from surging.
  20. Have you immersed yourself in motorsports outside Australia? Going around places with a hat, sunglasses and a camera is not the same as actively participating in the motorsports life outside Australia you know?
  21. I won't even bother anymore...you're sounding more and more like those commodore people.
  22. have you seen this thing run? it deserves 30gs at least. and how many GTRs do you know of that puts out 600nm of torque?
  23. sure make that 2...i only have a 200 bill so u can keep the change too
  24. can u bring me dinner as well?
