  1. Thanks mate :-P Can you pls confirm the price for Nistune ? Most likely I am in as well
  2. Nice work mate !
  3. Hi guys, my apologies, they blocked access from work and I was fairly busy recently (and bloody card reader stopped working !!) Any way, as guys said, I got it from John for around $400 fitted with warranty. Cooling system flushed, new coolant, all checked. It almost twice as thick as the old one .. but look at the pics, they speak for themselves. I'm happy. IF I KNEW how thin was the old one, I'd change it long time ago - every now and then I go up north and I've seen +48.5 outside, going 100+ (well.. ++ :-)), loaded car, aircon on... I'll feel much better from now one.. Probably we could the radiator slightly cheaper, but I'd agree - for extra $50 someone does all the work + coolant + flush + testing + warranty + running around. $50 well spent.
  4. So, chukie, does that means that R33 and Stagea radiators are NOT interchangeable ?
  5. From my experience, the cost of repairing the unit is not that much lower (I might be wrong). Plus you end up with old unit, and you never know how long it will last. Nissan dealer is obviously an option, and I will approach one tomorrow. Just want to know what else can be done.
  6. Hi guys, It looks like I need a radiator for my S2 Stagea, the one in the car is leaking. I've done a search on the forum but was unable to find a part number for it. I found few topics here where people were talking about several options (ebay, koyo and so on). I would prefer direct replacement and put a standard or better one, but I dont want to go for manual radiator + external tranny radiator. might be the better option from performance point of view, but at this stage I prefer to "keep it simple" So, my question is - what (and where) do I need to buy? Should I look for S2 radiator specifically or R33 or stagea S1 radiators can be installed ? 36 mm, 40 mm or 52 mm ? They were talks on the forum about ASI radiators from ebay, like http://cgi.ebay.com.au/52mm-Alloy-aluminum-radiator-skyline-R33-RB25DET-GTS-T-/280580988112?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4153ee1cd0. They are well priced ($199 delivered) but I am afraid they suit manual cars only. Am I right ? Any help will be appreciated
  7. No. Although it sounds similar, ideas are very different.
  8. Oh, also done Honda Legend at that time (about 4 years ago) :-P
  9. I am. This product uses patented technology (actually, particular mineral), patented by russians. Ukrainian company uses that technology, but there are some issues. Russians claim that they stopped supplying components to Ukrainians so they do something on their own, and results are unpredictable. XADO says nothing bout it. Being fluent in russian, read ALOT of info about XADO, just spend few hours couple of weeks ago researching XADO. My ex brother in law was researching that stuff some time (4-5 years) ago, got in contact with people from XADO, they were very optimistic. I got XADO about 4 years ago, treated my camry sv21 and my stagea - engine, gearbox, power steering system. SV21 done about 400k , goes OK, original engine. Still got XADO tubes at home. Well, there are DIFFERENT opinions about XADO on the forums. Some of them are VERY interesting, that stuff seems to be working (if you get real product), at least for engines. I can dig out some photos and publish them here if people want Oh, and by the way - they charge arm and a leg here in AU, XADO is CHEAP in Ukraine. I mean - cheap, few bucks per tube or so (can find exact prices). If people want to go down that path, I can probably get in touch with some people from there and organize a group buy. PS can provide more info, but tired of typing Welcome to PM me with ur number if interested.
  10. Just done it last weekend, my 7yo son was very good at cleaning some parts with solvent and cotton wool buds :-) Idling is MUCH better now, i can't believe that such a simple job did so much difference. My unit wasn't that dirty inside, but dirt is some important parts (AAC valve assembly in particular) was definitely present, valve was almost stuck. AAC in my Stagea looks different compare to pic in this thread, and I am not sure how easy diaphragm should move ? I had to use screwdriver to push it .
  11. Well, rang Shannons. Coz my Stag is not my daily drive, I got away with $517. For daily drive it would be just under $700. Excess $500, no claim bonus protection. I had a policey with them before, my Honda Legend(*sigh*).. was insured with them.
  12. Oh, just got my renewal from LSV. Was very happy with them before ($20k, 786 premium, moderate eccess), got the renewal - $15k value, $1256 premium, $750 excess. Rang them, have a good conversation, basically they are changing directions and not interested much in insuring us anymore. Oh well, time to shop around.
  13. Obviously they are good enough now if they are allowed to do high speed chases, so they will become even better.
  14. Be careful - you wishes may come true. I read in the magazine that some bikie clubs aren't accepting the applications from pedophiles and people who were in police force (interesting point of view at least), so you may close that opportunity for yourself forever :-P
  15. Wishes are good. Help is better.
