  1. Thanks guys and thank you Brad, hopefully will see you on Friday (probably will bring a 5yo stagea-lover with me )) or Monday
  2. After wrecking one tyre (price you pay for not paying enough attention to tyre wearing pattern and not checking it after getting the car from a compliance) I went to one tyreshop and they recommended 4 wheel alignment. They had 2 problems : - they didnt have data for stagea in their computer, so they were going to use Nissan Z380 data - they could not undo one nut, they didnt want to wreck it or damage bushes by hitting the nut, su they'we done nothing and they recommended me to go and see suspension workshop. Now, they dilemma I am facing ... what do I do ? Should i just get the wheel alignment data from the forum, such as : Ref wheel geometry, these settings are from SK's thread for his road Wagon "front rear toe =zero, front camber = 1 deg neg, front caster as much as possible, left side 0.25 deg more than right for road camber issues, rear camber 0.5 deg negative. from http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...ment&st=440, or can someone recommend a tyre shop in Perth where guys know something about Stageas please ? Or I need to go and see suspesion people ? OR I get Blistein suspension, removed from my car doing compliance process (unknown condition, not sure if everything is there) and get it installed and get everything done after that ? Any ideas, guys (and gils) - please share ) PS in any case - would be nice to know about tyreshops in Perth who are dealing with stageas...
  3. Hey guys, Time to report ) When I knew where to look at - I just put my hand down and it was soooooo obvious ) Managed to unscrew the filter with my weak IT hands without any tools. Yes, oil leaks a bit when you remove the filter but there is nothing that plastic bag cannot fix The rest was straight forward, just need to put the car on the jack otherwise its hard to work underneath. Oil changed, not a drop on the driveway. Thank you all for help )
  4. Can anyone advice me on camera model(s) that may be used for this project ? Thank you, guys
  5. Great Can you tell us please how much was the unit ? Also, how does it feel now ? any real differences when you drive the car ?
  6. Daniel, got it all sorted out ?
  7. Hey John, Thank you for your posts and your efforts. Unfortunately, it looks like I won't be in Perth that time (again !).... Another reason to change the job I think...
  8. Great pic and it shows it all. Thank you, unique1.
  9. 36, had my S2 stagea for half a year.
  10. Not a problem. My favourite is stout but I must admit - I am running out of it (with some help coming from a beautiful girl , lager is not that nice.. So be quick
  11. I make my own beer so I have at least few dozens at home this is not an issue ) Repco tool - well, I'll try to undo that thing with my IT hands and, if I am not lucky, will jump on my workhorse and get the tool.
  12. I am not prepared to change my car just for the sake of changing oil filter - I've had her for few month only and still enjoying to drive
  13. Oh, ok. I'll try it on Friday (I hope). If I see nothing again then I'll put her on jack, remove the plastic sheild and have a proper look. "It's personal" ))) coz I feel really silly being unable to locate oil filter
  14. Hm. Still unable to see "the cylindrical thing (usually blue) on the left side of the engine (if you're facing the engine bay) towards the bottom."
  15. Thank you for prompt replies, guys, I will look at it again, probably on Friday I am not a mechanic but I've changed few oil filters in my life and done simple things with my cars before (probably most "complex" thing that I've ever done was changing a head on my Fal*on's engine but boy ! there are SO MUCH room there under the bonnet ! ) What I am trying to say is that I know how oil filter (or, I'd better say, usually) looks like... - still, I was unable to find one (bashing my head against the wall) JVP, there are different oil filter removal tools, I'got one.. well, it's sort of J-shaped. I will need fair amount of free space to use this toll. Or you are talking about something else ? Also, you mentioned extention, I've never used one before.. Any way, I'd give it a go again
  16. Hello everyone, I feel really stupid, but.. where is the oil filter ? and how I can access it ? I tried to look from underneath of my car (Stagea S2 if it matters) but plastic guard covers alot and car sits low so I was able to see much. Tried to put car on the ramps but again - she sits low and front bumper prevents her from going on the ramps. Can anyone point me to the right direction please ? PS Yes, I know, I know, fell stupid myself ))

  18. Exactly, John
  19. Well done, guys ! John, Thank you for the pics ! Hopefully, next time the red stagea will be in line )
  20. Thank you very much, guys, I think you are right and I'd better make a few phone calls next week. IF anyone is willing to share their experience (either positive or negative) - please PM me, it will be highly appreciated.
  21. Hi guys, I wasn't here for a while, sorry Any way, to cut a long story short, it's almost time to service my baby and get it checked and I have couple of questions I want to ask, that's why I am looking for a mechanic who knows something about Stageas (my attempt to visit Nissan dilership in Osborne park and ask them a question was quite depressing )). I live in Scarborough. Does anyone know a good place in Perth ? Thank you guys
  22. Hi everyone, Thank you ) So far it looks like that wife will join the cruise. And no, it does not have triptronic... ) Probably next one will have :-P
  23. Well, $80 (or even $60, if you bring car to them) is not a huge amount of money. if it worth it. As said, there is an add-on to the security system, it actually works with an alarm. I can double check with the guys there but from what I've been told, the thing just runs an engine for a minute (or three) and after that arms the system. You will need a remote comtrol to disarm it.. From this point of view, security is not a big problem. The question is - does TT really help to extend life of car turbo ?
  24. Hi guys, Just got my Stagea on the roads this week... and it does not have turbo timer. Not a big deal but I'd rather have one... Well, I think I have 3 options - install proper turbo timer with options to adjust time, etc. - install an add-on chip to security system which will run the engine for 1 min and will arm system after that. - same add-on but will run engine for 3 min. Cost of options 2 and 3 - around $80. Option 1 - no idea. What would you recommend ? What are the pros and contras ?
  25. Oh, are we having cruise on Sunday ? Missed it Anyway, I won't be in Perth, probably my wife and son will join
