  1. Any chance you don't have stock wheels on mate? If your profile is not correct, this would throw out the speedo and the speed you think you are doing is not actually correct. Not much difference between 110-122 if this is the case. Not saying the cop was correct, but have you thought about this scenario? That you were in fact doing that speed and just didn't know it? I know we always firstly jump to the conclusion that cops suck, but just have a think about it for a sec and rule that out. Speed matching at 60 is not going to be the same at highway speeds, get it checked, or post up your wheel/tyre sizes and someone smarter than me will be able to tell you if this is the case.
  2. Don't have time to read the whole thread, but if it's the creaking you are talking about, then yeah I get this too, but only in the mornings coming out of the driveway. Later in the day, it seems to stiffen up a bit and it's fine. Another problem I have which I think may be related is the car drifts to the left while driving.
  3. Only the commonly available versions, I just checked and they don't have anything you are after unfortunately, i.e no g35/36
  4. Umm, I don't know what that means. Send me your PV35- number from your plate and I'll tell you when it was built.
  5. Haven't had any noise issues, I have them on both cars. One set is NS2 don't know what the other one is. Same for both sets - as long as you aren't stupid, they are fine in the wet. Dry they are great. If you don't mind me asking, who is the compliance shop, and what did you pay for compliance?
  6. Nankangs are surprisingly good for the price. On another point - I thought tyres weren't included in the price of compliance, i.e. you have to buy them extra?
  7. Is jumpering an option? It'll save you the waiting time. That's what I do pretty often and the cables I bought from Woolies for $11 I think they were. I also have a trickle charger and it doesn't need a ground. Steve you are right about QT, I get that too.
  8. To be perfectly honest Waz, I see too much effort and money for little gain. To me, it's like something you want when you don't have them, but when you have them you aren't into them. I use them like once in a blue moon. As they don't rotate with the steering wheel, they aren't practical for driving fast which is why you would have it in the manual mode in the first place. Twisty bits at speed forget about it. The shifter is just so much easier and perfect to flick up and down. I say borrow a GT-8 for a few days and then see how you feel. I must admit though they do look cool though:-
  9. Well if it is a conspiracy someone would be patting themselves on the back as none of us hoons killed anyone this long weekend! http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/bad-dr...6207010939.html
  10. Wow, never seen that. I get no car picture on the 2003 GT8. Just the picture of the fuel pump.
  11. I have the same looking switch in mine on the right side of the VDC switch, except it says TV/NAV on it. What it does on mine is it connects to a little unit that bypasses the handbrake required to view TV while driving. Question - where is your boot release switch? And what is that button to the left on the first pic. Looks like it says auto?
  12. Sif I'd tell you where the stash is! No issues here! Except for the rapeage every time I go to pay...
  13. If it came from Nissan as an extra then it should be in there. I had a quick look but without knowing what it looks like, it's hard to find, do you have a pic? I got it for $80 delivered. I was desperate at the time so I bought it. I found it depends on the Nissan place, some will go out of their way to order it wierd parts, others won't bother. Call a whole bunch I'd say.
  14. I have that sqeak too, pretty sure it's the seat belt bit between the seat and the centre console. Move it to an uncomortable position and the sound goes away.
  15. No mate, dates in FAST are backwards, so 0305 means May 2003. the one you need is the first one - 96940-AC000
  16. I've already sourced it, thanks anyway. I bought an original and it's 2008 so it has all the latest models including the 35 GTR.
  17. On the right you have gearbox models and production dates. What date was your car made and what gearbox do you have? Edit: ok I see you pointed out the auto, so it will come down to the date. If you send me your VIN and long model number I could find out exact.
  18. I just saw this, this should be what you're after just pick the one right for your model and go to Nissan Spares. Oh and there's nothing wrong with woodgrain! Woodgrain rocks!
  19. Hi Sam. Was daydreaming and didn't see you until you were past me.
  20. Full = Projected full tank? I would get about 580-600+ city driving all the time. No mods. Doesn't matter how hard I drive it. I have a GT-8. We discussed it here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/V3...my-t174972.html and here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/V3...my-t174721.html If you get 400KM only then start looking at servicing bits. AFM, Sparks, O2 sensors.
  21. This should help: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...W2Dr&show=7
  22. Sorry can't find any info on that one anyone else?
