Hi guys, At 185rwkw, my standard clutch has finally bit the bullet and collapsed... and in a hurry. it litterally began to slip, then fell apart within 10km after some sourcing of options, im going to machine the fly to suit an Excedy 32 GTR heavy duty item, well capable of clamping down 250 or more kw. Before i set out on removing the gearbox i just want to kno if there are any 'tricks' so to speak to making the job easier? I did my silvia back in the day, removing the stick, cross member, tail shaft and associated bolts. Rotated the box 180° then hey presto, out she fell. If any body had done there gtst and would like to share and perhaps save me the frustration i would really appreciate it. And i'll be sure to post the outcome after the weekend! Cheers, Damo

Hey all. i just had my 32 gts-t off the road for 3 weeks, it developed an overheating problem when cruising in 5th gear down the freeway, or after what one would call 'negligent street driving' so i rebuilt the top end, timing belt, seals, gaskets valves, u name it, top end = new. its still overheating!! WTF!! thermostat is also new so scratch that idea. Any ideas will be investigated, and much appreciated!! Thanks so much, Damo
  3. Hey guys, does anyone know the wheel offset on standard r32 M-spec wheels? The type similar to the 32gtr except not the forged rims. Ow and the width if possible. Cheers Damian See pic.
  4. Finally blew the ceramic warrior... So now im looking at a replacement, opting for a KKR 430 bolt on. price being the main factor... however for an extra $120 I can get it on a low mount stainless manifold. Is the manifold worth it and will it have any performance gain in what is a very mild modified car?? EXH, Pump, int. etc. Would like to hear from any one who has a kkr on their car! Cheers Damo

Im not talking of a "$20 Manual" this type of thing is what im on about, http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TWIN-ELECTRIC-SUPER...1QQcmdZViewItem they have a pretty elaborate website to bak it all up. after emailing them he is offering a full refund within 30 days if he is dis-satified with the result. Which is fair i guess and adds ease to the speculation. Will post the results eh. even talks of reducing lag in turbo apps, but i could think of better things to spend my own money on my already force fad car. wish me luck...
  6. Anyone used one of the 12v electronic superchargers that have been circulating on ebay? Friend is interested in installing one on his n/a sr20 silvia? waste of dollars or not? they claim +20hp? Regards Damo
  7. Hey guys, done some recent mods to my R32 Gts-t; 3 inch HKS cat bak, Hybrid FMIC, Greddy profec B 2 EBC, new iridium plugs, full synthetic oil + catch can. (now runnin 10psi @ low boost, 13psi @ high) I've had it all tuned initally and wasnt to thrilled so i sent it bak and had the plugs re-gapped which improved High end considerably, Now im feeling a real flat spot at mid rang as she comes on to higher boost, then it just wants to rocket to 7000rpm. At what point should i need to upgrade fuel pump and injectors? I would have thought standars would be sufficiant?? any help would be appreciated Regards Damian
  8. yeah thats the one, tho i havent tried to reef it on for a second go, the first clunk takes the confidence away i think... will give it a second hit tomorrow. see what happen. cmon guy any idea's?
  9. The handbrake in my 32 gtst makes a horrid 'clunk' noise when i attempt to reef it up for some drift action. works fine when parked, but fails to lock the wheels when im rollin. any one else had this issue, how do i resolve it. Regards, Damian

Hey people, looking at a few r34 gt-t's. there are alot of hight km (100 000+) on the market at very reasonable prices. what are the life expectancy, risks, turbo life etc on say a mild mod, regular seviced vehical? how many km's have you done? and what problems if any have you incured?? and info would be appreciated. regards Damian

OK, so... rpm is out... what feels like red line is reading about 5000rpm. upon hittin the clutch the dial falls slowly.... rather then dramatically back to low rpm speed is off... amid 60km/h traffic my speedo reads about 80km/h... all other aux. gauges seem fine... what should i do? what would be the cause? trip to the auto eleco perhaps??
  13. Hey guys, I fitted a set of replacement white dials to my 32 gtst... they look great... however now my rpm, and speedo arnt reading correctly... how can i fix it? any help would be apprectiated Regards, Damian
  14. Hey im after some white face dials to fit to my 32 gtst... im in the process of doin her up and think it would bring some much needed colour to the dash. im also on the lookout for a passenger side air con vent. any info let me know. Regards Damian:thumbsup:
  15. Hey Ppl! pulled apart the pipes in my mates r33 to replace the power steer drive belt the other day. comin from the turbo to the cooler was black oil residue... it wasnt present beween the cooler and inlet manifold tho!! is this normal?? some explinatins would help!! thanks a heap!!

Note very familiar with what it involves as far as raw's and so on... can any1 who has done their own import let me know of what it cost them?? what it involves?? would be great to find out if its even worth my while!! thanks
  17. yer thanks... i need the feedbak, but 12... nup!!! i was offered 15 from a car yard... so they would want like 17 easy!! after they place their gst on the 15000... 16500, then they wanna make money on it... HAVE A GOOD CHRISSIE ALL!!

  19. no major mods, internals are standard, never boosted, which in my opinion is a more valuable car... id dosnt cost alot to front mount and boost up a car, better off to invest in a car that hasnt been thrashed and do it yourself... Like i said, i dont have to sell it, im in no hurry... sorry wont even think about 12!!

  23. Really!! ok so these are my calipers, i know they a 4 pot, and are nissan branded sumitomo items. thats great! also means it runs a higher flowed turbo right?any other items? whats its value hold like compared to a standard r32? here's the proof.
  24. Ok guys i have a r32 which im guessin is a type m. it has a neater trim then some standard r32's i have looked at. It has all the options, Factory turbo timer, electric spoiler, digital climate control, and full type m body kit. are there any tell tale signs to distinguish a type m? Thanks ppl
  25. im told by a japanese auto shop the r33 IAT sensor is toward the back of the plenum, its a purple plug with 2 wires coming from it, as shown in the pic
