Is this in the Hallam area? If so, I think I know who you're talking about. And agree about hard-wiring the cameras, it's more secure to do it that way, it may be more work running cables but at least you know they will work no matter what. I did the install myself for all 4 cameras, only took a couple hours work so no biggy.

Security cameras. Had some break-ins on the street around my area a while back, plus we have a laneway right next to our house with randoms always walking past, so I installed 4 security cameras monitoring outside the house (namely down the driveway, looking down the street and most of the gardens). I've got 2 cars parked outside so I figure spending $600 on a camera kit to monitor is a better deterrent than just insurance on the cars. Also put in some flood lights with sensors that turn on when anyone approaches the cameras so it's easy to pick up anything that moves around. Funnily enough too, I had some small rocks out the front that kept getting thrown around/disappearing, that stopped the day the cameras were installed. It's amazing how different people behave when they know they're being watched, especially when they know they're going to do something they shouldn't. Failing that, a big dog in the backyard tends to keep others well away from the house. But if you can't park in your driveway and have to park on the street, there's very little you can do. Park on the grass? Park at a neighbours house if you can? Maybe swap around the cars occasionally. Best thing to do is make sure you have full insurance, you can't always be there to watch over things no matter what.

Saw this earlier today, was shocked to see the GT-R on Top Gear in the first place, didn't expect it, then when they did the lap... Was like heaven for me. To be faster than cars worth FOUR times its value (in some cases more) is an achievement in itself. Nissan should be so proud of what they have achieved. Really, faster than a normal Veyron? Zonda? Enzo/458? What a giant killer, and the fact it has rear seats!

V36 coupe (I think black) down Princes Hwy, Berwick last night around 5:10pm - heard there was one in the area, first time I've seen it. And the same 4-door silver R34 parked outside the United servo on the corner of Hallam-Belgrave and Prinny. Think it's for sale still? Been there for a while.

EMSTA, saw your 33 around 1:00pm turning from Bennett St, Dandy onto Cheltenham Rd earlier today - I was waiting at the lights to turn onto Bennett in the V36. And a little later I was behind another white 33 GTS-T down Bennett around 1:15pm, you waved at me while I sat behind you at the lights to turn onto Railway Pde. Gave the thumbs up back, not sure if you saw it. Who is it? Pretty sure they'd be on here.

Car looks hot as buddy, one of the best V36's I've seen. Black is always the best, glad I got one too

Think it was around 11:00pm ish, not later than midnight. Not sure if it had custom plates, sure it didn't, you wouldn't of seen me anyway as I was always a few cars behind. Saw a red M35 Stagea turning onto Hallam-Belgrave Rd from Narre North Rd around 4:30pm tonight, nice. Also the same silver V35 coupe down Harkaway Rd minutes later, gave you a wave.

Awesome buddy. Interested to know about the power output too, should be one hell of a ride! -
Blue V35 coupe parked on Grattan St just off Lygon last night around 10pm, was there for a couple hours. Also a silver R34 sedan with nice boot lid lip spoiler around the same time, parked off Lygon as well. And a very nice (black or gray) R32 down Prinny outbound from Caulfield til Oakleigh, good to see one in such good condition. Other misc Skylines out, might remember more later

Just to show what I mean, I actually took a screen dump of the old speed limit sign from Google Street View on Harkaway Rd, Berwick to prove it was once a 80kph zone (now signed 60kph until just after Old Coach Rd until recently). How is this stretch of road so unsafe and need to have TWO dedicated police cars sitting there targeting speeding there? Seriously, it's reasons like this why people have no faith in the system and then they get told it's not about revenue raising. What a joke. I couldn't believe they were sitting there from 5PM until around 8:30PM tonight, such a ridiculous waste of resources.

Cops sitting with radar guns on Harkaway Rd, Berwick tonight. Nice to see they're doing it in an area they changed the speed limit from 80 to 60kph when they repaved the road recently. Good old Vic Pol, really a dangerous stretch of revenue, I mean road, there

Cool, make me one then I had a quote from Stillen in the States for their Stage 3 CAI kit, item is around $US500, but freight from there is $US320. I laughed and never bothered with it after they told me that. I wonder if the ones off eBay are any good, kind of a bit sceptical with anything there in general...

Looking To Buy A V36...pls Help
M34N replied to chef_stagea's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I specifically wanted a black V36 sedan, so I completely disagree with what you've said. Black is hardest to keep clean, but it looks the toughest and comes up looking a million dollars when it's cleaned. All my cars have been dark coloured, always think they look nicest. There's also a reason you pay a premium for black cars from Japan, they are more highly sought after. The sedans are great in a V36, it's more practical as a daily and has the virtually the same handling capabilities, weight and power (350GT is about 235kW, 370GT is around 245kW - but like you said from 09 onwards the sedans were available as 370GT's), roughly identical 0-100 time too. Coupe is still a 4 seater too, but drive it every day with passengers and tell me which is better As for holding its price, you can say that about any Skyline. I remember the days when an R34 GT-R was $70k+ just a few years ago. Wait until Infiniti comes out here, what would happen to the price of the V36's then? -
Nice work mate, well done. Did you notice any real difference in power? I hear it makes very little power increase, and it's mostly just a better sound. Wanted to do the same, but didn't think forking out $500 for a long ram cold air intake kit was worth it, would like to hear your opinion.

Speaking of this, anyone done it before? Would love to have radio back in the car, can be useful (sometimes). Would like to know how it's done, kind of remember doing it in the 34 but that was many moons ago!

The V Series Spotted Thread
M34N replied to funkymonkey's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Had a white V35 coupe pull up next to me on Princes Hwy near Fountain Gate SC, heard your mate in the passenger seat say something along the lines of "wow, a V36". Made me stare at you then you both looked away, chuckled to myself. Anyone on here? I just smirked back and gave a thumbs up, got the same in return. Also keep spotting a silver V35 sedan driving down Frawley Rd in Hallam near the Hallam-Belgrave Rd intersection. Last saw it yesterday around 10:30am. Sometimes see it in the Aurion, other times the V36. Think I know where it lives too, but won't publish that here I usually don't like the V35 sedans, but this one looks pretty good. -
Mate I know what you mean, I've kept up with a Merc CL63 before and those things are serious V8's. Sure gave that guy a shock, lol I usually drive in just D, if I switch into DS it's always me changing gears for it otherwise I find the car will hold out a gear and rev ridiculously if you push it. Those gear changes can be rough in DS, but in D mode it's always very smooth. But mine is a 5-speed not a 7-speed, wonder if there is any real big differences between both?
-
Glad to hear you're OK. Not much you could of done, I suppose you can look at it this way; it could of been much worse. Once you get insurance sorted, you'll be back on the road in no time Good luck with everything.
-
Ah OK, definitely CR34M then. Didn't get to stop as I was heading the other way and caught a glimpse of the car, had a feeling it was someone on here... sad Hope he's OK!

Lime green R34 with black decals on the side in a big stack on Princes Hwy near Blackburn Rd around 12:30 today, hope no-one was hurt. Looked like it rammed into a ute or something in the service lane (34 was facing oncoming traffic in service lane), not sure what happened there. Police on scene. Lots of accidents today, think I heard the one Charles89 was talking about earlier, could see the cops racing to that one this morning. Not many people paying attention or driving to the conditions today, saw another big accident involving two trucks in Dandenong earlier too. Would hate to be a traffic cop on a day like today!

Matt black R35 GT-R turning onto Monash inbound from Princes Hwy in Narre/Berwick, custom plates R35TGR (something like that) just 10mins ago. Never seen one in that colour before.
-
Forgot to mention the custom plates; V35SKY. That you? The Aurion is black, anonymous spec, see you didn't even remember it Hate driving it, such a dull POS.
-
Had a silver V35 with SAU stickers follow me down Heatherton Rd this afternoon in Narre Nth around 4:40pm today. Very nice car. As usual I was not in either the R34 or the V36, but the Aurion! Was going to take the V36 as well but decided against it.
-
Did it happen to have a number (I think 4) on the front doors? This guy is a customer at my shop, always hangs around Berwick so I'm sure it was him. He's a bit of a character, my old lady reckons he "burnt his car" He has actually done some work to it believe it or not, it's an SRT8. Not to my taste, each to their own

Spotted a black V36 coupe with Infiniti badging driving down Hallam-Belgrave Rd at 4:40pm earlier today, heading towards Hallam. Had standard issue plates, didn't get a good look (was heading in the opposite direction). Would have high-beamed you but it probably would of confused you more than anything, as I was driving the Aurion.
